  1. Adios cheats! * *hope that doesn’t bite me on the a*** next season ?
  2. Anyone but the franchise. Plus mixed feelings about the Janners living in Devon’s capital!
  3. Ah wondered why they all came back. It was a sea of white tbf!
  4. We may not be very good but we still score a few, and concede tonnes, so theoretically we should’ve been on more.! But TV companies like games that ‘matter’ and we’ve been lower down but not in huge danger all season, hence…..
  5. You missed out my sarcastic ‘really’ after laughing stock. I guess that must’ve been a genuine mis-type, a bit like, well….
  6. Person makes admin mistake on a website and we are a laughing stock? Really? Do we have a crack team of mistake police on OTIB, searching night and day for any spelling mistake / factual error etc? Are these the same people who do it for errors on the Post website or are the OTIB ones like the elite mistake checkers, like a grammar SAS? Just wondering. ?
  7. Yes, but also if Derby hadn’t cheated we’d have beaten them 3 or so years ago when they had Mount and Tomori, to get into the play offs then the Prem. We’d have then been relegated but would’ve joined the parachute payments yo yo club, bouncing between the C’ship and Prem for eternity. Basically a red shirted Norwich.
  8. If yesterday was in isolation I’d say it was a classic case of team with something to play for puts more effort in than team that doesn’t. But the real problem is you just don’t know what’s likely to happen with this City team, other than they’ll concede at some point.
  9. Yes, first impression from seeing him live yesterday. Good in the air but definitely lacks pace.
  10. Have to agree. I thought James was a steady acquisition who organised well until his injury, but since he seems to slow our tempo down without adding much value. Williams just looked like he didn’t want to risk full throttle.
  11. Any number of reasons for these scores I’d imagine; infrastructure, governing body support, degree of professionalism, history of women’s football in that country etc. Remember how Turkey’s men’s team , for example, used to be considered minnows?
  12. Between the 2 I suspect, but hopefully zero !
  13. Recommend Pat Nevin’s book - cut above the usual football bios
  14. Clinton Morrison has absolutely zero analysis, but when he does stumble upon something accidentally he always immediately repeats it. Listen to him next time he’s on! That said for some reason I can’t help but like him - most pundits are rubbish but at least he’s cheerful and engaging.
  15. Chris Sutton, the village idiot’s village idiot. A manufactured cross between the man down the pub and somebody with deliberately antagonistic opinions’. I realise the latter is deliberate it’s just intensely irritating.
  16. Disappointed JP hasn’t shoehorned City into his commentary yet. When ex Bolton Ococha came on I thought he was going down the Freight Rover 86 route…..
  17. Lots of comments on the geography so that ship has sailed I think.
  18. Still in it but can see England folding for 85 and leaving WI 30 to win.
  19. Stat of the day from Cricinfo: Jack Leach and Saqib Mahmood, batting at number 10 and 11, had the 2 highest scores in England’s total. The last time that happened in a test match was 1885…
  20. He looks like someone gave him a mirror to look at it!
  21. It’s ok, he’s been on a voyage of self discovery.* *not admitted anything he’s done is wrong though, despite 3 eye witnesses. Don’t how Matt Smith kept a straight face when the teams took the knee at the start.
  22. Agree. What’s the point of picking Parkinson for the tour otherwise? Not much of a brave new world. Rumour has it the pitch may be slightly livelier. We’ll see
  23. True, until test cricket has vanished through lack of interest. Bit of an exaggeration I know but it’s further down the path.
