Yes, but also if Derby hadn’t cheated we’d have beaten them 3 or so years ago when they had Mount and Tomori, to get into the play offs then the Prem. If yesterday was in isolation I’d say it was a classic case of team with something to play for puts more effort in than team that doesn’t. But the real problem is you just don’t know what’s likely to happen with this City team, other than they’ll concede at some point.

Have to agree. I thought James was a steady acquisition who organised well until his injury, but since he seems to slow our tempo down without adding much value. Williams just looked like he didn’t want to risk full throttle.

Any number of reasons for these scores I’d imagine; infrastructure, governing body support, degree of professionalism, history of women’s football in that country etc. Remember how Turkey’s men’s team , for example, used to be considered minnows?
