  1. No I didn’t want him thrown under the bus. I just have an aversion to managers criticising refs, whether they’ve been rubbish or not. Pearson himself said he doesn’t normally comment on refs, but that means nothing if the first time we have a crap one he immediately blames him. Or to put it another way, it’s easy not to comment on refs when they don’t give poor decisions against you. In addition, of course everyone makes mistakes ( inc experienced people) and salary is irrelevant. But that also includes refs I’d suggest that you are highly likely to lose if you play any length of time with 10 men, and although QPR may have scored it certainly wasn’t guaranteed. I’d have no issue with the foul if he wasn’t already on a yellow, which let’s not forget he got for arguing about the award of a pretty obvious pen (yes I know he missed our even more obvious one). And yes I agree the ref was generally poor, but as somebody else pointed out in the other thread he’s refereed us on a number of other occasions without incidents That said it was a spur of the moment decision by King and I’m sure we’ve all made similar decisions in life that might not have been the best. Anyway, I agree we did play well and luck will even out (ish). Onwards and upwards.
  2. Stop letting facts and rationality get in the way of a good ‘the ref’s a crook and hates us’ argument ?
  3. The shithousery is fine but that was stupidity. He’s on a yellow! Just because we raised our game with 10 doesn’t make it a good decision. You wouldn’t want us to lose a man every game after an hour - we’d lose most times. Respectfully. Actually the thing that slightly jarred with me was Pearson blaming the ref and deflecting the blame away from a player (city fan or not) that he’d brought in for his ‘’experience’’. Now I don’t expect or would want Pearson to throw him under the bus, and ultimately King is responsible for his own actions, but it just didn’t sit right with me. Don’t get me wrong though, the ref was poor.
  4. It was a good delivery and header, but he was quite far out on the angle and with no one in front of him. The guy directly behind him was O’dowda (not renowned for heading ability). Then there was nobody on either post (although possibly may not have helped). But if it isn’t ending up in the corner is there a case for saying Max could’ve done slightly better? Be interested to see what others think. Also thought before the game that we only really had Kalas and ZV as our go to headers for defending. Atkinson did come on but this reminded me why NP also like Martin for his defensive side ( see also Fammy in previous years)
  5. Regardless of the injury time goals, yesterday was not the first time in recent games we’ve started brightly then faded
  6. If Weimann isn’t a striker we’ve got a 15 - 20 goals a season midfielder on our hands and our accounts will be much improved next year.
  7. Thought he was a prat when he did that rant a few years back on the telly, when a decision didn’t go his way. Never quite understood why some thought he was some sort of cult hero as a result ( insert your own joke).
  8. Good man! I agree - he’s already trying Premier League falling over tricks to go with his Premier League potential!
  9. It’s you - the curse! Burn the witch!
  10. Andy come on, give us something positive! If you can I’ll know there is hope somewhere. Did you enjoy our goal? A fellow red ?
  11. Let’s get this clear. The ref was poor - whistle happy, inconsistent and just wrong (for both sides actually). But we lost the game because 1. somebody brought to the club for their experience decided to commit a cast iron second yellow foul which meant we had a third of the game a man down. 2. we couldn’t defend a corner. In injury time. Again.
  12. Ref was poor but King was dumb. On a booking and does that. Sorry but I’ve laughed more at Mrs Brown’s Boys.
  13. Bottle throwing? Thank goodness we aren’t being investigated for any other crowd incidents in, I don’t know, the last game say?
  14. Not sure why the ex Prem player spent 30 seconds winding the crowd up. Bitter? Let’s hope he’s disappointed at the end
  15. It augers well for mankind - like men with steel hearts loving seeing a dog on the pitch.
  16. Oh blimey. I got the dreaded u got the ‘vid text at 615 this morning and am at home with an already isolating soon to be ex wife and the kids. Still think I prefer my situation, so all the best to you squire!
  17. Man gets offered good deal and takes it. Who wouldn’t? As others have alluded to it’s the people who agreed to pay it that are the issue. Apart from anything else he didn’t really set the world alight when he was on loan, even if (in fairness) there always seemed like a high potential ceiling ability wise
  18. S*** is that your bridge? ? Great postcode btw, all the best people grew up,in it ?
  19. Suspect KP45 will be losing the K shortly…….
