Always makes me smile when people question Simpson and Downing. How do they get the blame? Why not NP, or even Fleming while we’re at it? Are people sneaking into the HPC watch us train every day? Took in the Exeter game yesterday which included these 2. Both came off around an hour in, but Owura had a good first half in particular, looking direct and skilful. Sir Colin was lucky to only get a yellow quite early on and didn’t really affect the game (he played left back behind Owura). Sounded like it was a more entertaining game than at the Gate, sadly.

Sure, I sympathise with this point, just saying that the Nations League makes better competitive games. Whether there should be a removal of the smaller teams from actual qualifying, or even a ‘pre-qualifying’ I don’t know.

True but a lot of male refs would’ve let the ‘plucky’ underdog get away with more stuff than normal. The main problem is these games are generally rubbish; attack v defence.
