  1. He has got a little bit of Grealish about him. And I mean that as a compliment!
  2. Oh absolutely, I’m not a prog fan ( I suspect you guessed that ?) but d’ya know what, I’d be quite happy for a mix tape following Holidays in the Sun with Disco Inferno……..
  3. That’s why the good lord gave us punk ?
  4. As a counter balance to the OP (and not to denigrate their comments about people blocking views by leaving early), I had positive interactions yesterday with our stewards. Our bag was searched and the steward saw our selection of grub and commented to my 9 year old that it looked really nice, then at the end of the game another wished us well as we were leaving and thanked us for coming (unprompted). A copper also apologised for getting in our way coming out and patted my lad on the head, while the young lady who served us in the shop was very friendly. All little things but they helped make it an enjoyable day. Not forced ‘customer service’ but genuine, so credit where it’s due.
  5. Have to say I’m not completely convinced by him (yet) but I think that’s because as a whole we have been shaky defensively this season (near the bottom for clean sheets, for example). However this is his first season in the Championship and there is undoubtedly potential for a very good player there - big, quickish and decent on the ball. I’m sure he will get better the more he plays.
  6. Don’t think it was a coincidence we stretched an opposition defence today (yes I know they are ancient) with Semenyo playing centrally. Suddenly teams have to beware of balls behind them. I think he’ll be key going forward but Martin could quite conceivably partner well with him, holding play up / playing AS in behind
  7. Book’s really good too - written by Daniel Taylor of the Athletic(ex Guardian and also Forest fan).
  8. Of course, up to the individual but personally I find it difficult to get past almost the entire scientific community saying get vaccinated. And not looking for an argument (honest) but I was just unsurprised that the self proclaimed antidote to ‘‘the mainstream media’’ ie GB News, had somebody on raising concerns about vaccines.
  9. Respectfully, given the source of this ‘news’ it has a whiff of climate change deniers to me I.e. agenda pushing. Regardless, and even if this is true, if there was a cost benefit analysis of vaccinating compared to the risk of heart attacks I suspect 99.999…….% of scientists would still recommend vaccination. See also blood clotting.
  10. Were the games recently (Watford particularly) stopped because there were no medical staff to treat players as they were in the crowd? No idea and probably not, but just a thought.
  11. Don’t worry me and the lad are going and we haven’t seen us lose this season!• •only 2 games but whatever ?
  12. I believe Sir Colin was on the scoresheet for the Grecians
  13. If it speeds up VAR offsides where’s the problem? Still getting the correct decision, just less delay. And elite football has always been different to grassroots,
  14. No he simply lacks awareness. Let’s not go all conspiracy theories, there’s enough of that rubbish in the world already.
  15. Pleasantly surprised Italy and Portugal were drawn together. Not that I’d accuse FIFA of deliberately keeping apart the reigning Euro champs and the team with the (joint?) most recognised player on the planet, simply so both could qualify and achieve big TV ratings. That would be dodgy of course. ?
  16. And weren’t LO top or near it at the time, so actually not that bad a point. Although appointing Cotts worked out ok…
  17. 7 points from 9 last 3 home games. No problem ?
  18. As I always say to my 9 year old; Chris Martin is a scumbag, but he’s our scumbag. Today at least 5 Chris Martins on the pitch ?
  19. They coulda shoulda won 3-0. But sometimes you get the luck, or a striker with a ridiculous reverse combover that started revealing itself in the second half having a bit of a mare. I’m a baldy so I can say that ?
  20. Loved the fact they were both left on - talk about confidence - them and in them.
  21. Well apart from rising high to flick the long throw on for the goal, like say a ‘big lump’ might do ?
