Tinnion says Conway and Bell will be our front two in a couple of seasons. Lovely to finally see the Academy paying its way. Glad we didn't bin it. Conway is a natural.

Agree completely that we need to play 4 at the back. Was blatantly obvious yesterday. We are plenty good enough going forward and will score goals. Just need to go back to basics, stop leaking them and we'll be fine. Sounds simple........perhaps it is.

We'll make this a sell out even if it kills us.

Good preparation for the first team, spunking away a lead like that
Pearson said he wants the U23's to play exactly the same as the first team so they are ready to fit in at any time. Clearly it's working a treat

Proves what a decent side Bath City are having beaten both sides in the last two weeks. They may well be heading for a very, very successful season. 66/1 to win the National League South could look very generous come next May. They start the season at home v 2nd favs Dartford on Saturday.

Are we likely to have the biggest Championship attendance of the weekend??

Lovely post. Seems like your Dad was a very lucky man and lived a very full life with lots of great memories to fall back on.

A bit late asking but has anyone got a spare code I could have ?

Rob has been in superb form the last few games and has been a real threat in front of goal. He is a HUGE 30/1 to score ANYTIME today with Betfair. He's as low as 11/1 elsewhere and a general 14/1. That is a price not to be missed surely???!!!!

Where is everyone drinking before game?? Currently in Market Porter, London Bridge.

Much better today. They'll have too much to go down. First points v Villa.

The Sports Bar & Pizzeria has been showing all Bears away games in there since the restart.
Really?! I didn't know that. Have you been ? Was it a full house ? I'd be right up watching their final game on Sunday. 4 teams going for 3 play off places.

This possibly is the craziest announcement so far?
TAKEN FROM: https://www.wealdstone-fc.com/post/wealdstone-vs-chesterfield-live-screening
On Saturday we kick off our National League campaign as we host Chesterfield at The Vale. Unfortunately this match will be played behind closed doors due to Covid-19 restrictions however live streaming is available to purchase via our website https://www.wealdstone-fc.com/live-stream
We are also delighted to announce that Wealdstone Supporters Club are hosting a live screening of the game at Ruislip Social Club (@TheVale_SC) Numbers will be limited due to social distancing and tickets are available to purchase online priced at £10 (reduced to £5 for season ticket holders) which includes a free beer, cider, wine or soft drink.
All windows and viewing access to the pitch will be closed off and stewarding will be in place to ensure no access to the ground. We ask everyone attending wear a face mask on arrival and when leaving their table at any point during the afternoon. Social distancing must be adhered to and table service will apply for drinks.
The club will be open from 12 noon to show the day’s Premier League fixtures starting with Chelsea vs Crystal Palace at 12.30pm followed by Leeds vs Manchester City at 5.30pm.
Tickets are available online at
https://wealdstonefc.ktckts.com/merchandise/wldstreamchest/screening-v-chesterfield
Your support is appreciated and we look forward to at least welcoming a few supporters into the social club on Saturday.
What's crazy about that ? No different to watching it in a pub. Surprised City haven't done it in the Sports Bar. Would certainly create a nice bit of revenue. As long as rules of social distancing are met i.e. table service, no more than 6 etc then it's all good. I'd certainly go.

Two full divisions between us again !!!!!!!!

I was in town Saturday and everyone was sensible and social distancing. Pubs /restaurants have done a fantastic job in 'policing' the virus and adhering to Govt requests. I'm sure our football clubs will be no different and I'd feel very comfortable/safe returning.

How do people think they will pick the 1000? Just Alphabetically ?

BREAKING:
The EFL will stage pilots with up to 1,000 fans at matches this weekend, following approval from the government.
EFL clubs were asked to put in requests by Today in order for their plans to be signed off in time.
Brilliant news. Fingers crossed they are all successful. Some light at the end off the tunnel !

Just "freeze" any s/t sold for next year until the following year for those that can afford it. Refunds for others. Everyone next season is pay per game. No one loses their loyalty and the club dont bump up the prices for 21/22 season for those with freeze tickets. Does that make sense?
Think this is the best policy. Refund everyone who has paid upfront and any direct debits already taken. By having pay per game the club can limit the amount of seats sold and increase or decrease numbers game by game if necessary. No need for any ballots. People can make their own minds up whether to go or not. Yes the club will not have the money up front but hard shit, it's fairest and most simplified way.

With trials being done on different spectator sports over the next couple of months, if they are successful which I'm confident they will be, then guidelines regarding numbers allowed into stadiums will be relaxed further. I fully expect every season ticket holder (possibly a few thousand more) will be ok to enter the Gate come October and possibly even earlier.
