I’m confused, how can the south stand be “sold out” if they aren’t letting anyone buy STs there?!

Yes they could have phrased this differently but I guess they are reminding members that they can’t buy in the south stand

I've renewed my ticket. Its a 50 - 60 mile round trip for me and I still work so I can't make all of the games especially some midweek games.

By renewing my season ticket I am supporting the club whether I attend all of the matches or not, its my choice. I really can't understand all of the fuss with people not attending and leaving seats empty. There's usually other areas not occupied so what's the problem? Non attendees are counted in the attendance anyway and if its a high profile match them I'm sure the non attendees would be minimal.

I don’t have an issue with it either. What would be good though is if as some point City could launch a site where you could make your seat available to purchase by other fans when you can’t attend (as some other clubs do). Fans won’t always have a friend or family member who can go to the match concerned so the current forwarding option could not be used - a ticket exchange site would widen the pool of people who could take the seat.

Thanks but that link just takes me to a page summary of my tickets and history, no options to move seats

    Are you doing this?

selecting your Season Ticket under the “Season Tickets” tab and then selecting the “Replace Seat” button.”

  4. To be fair to them the comm on this point in the Q&As couldn’t have been much clearer:

“When Season Tickets go on sale on Monday, March 18th you will be able to see all available seats within the stadium. If the seat you wish to move to is available at this point, we recommend you select and purchase the new seat and not renew your current seat. If the seat you wish to move to isn’t available, we recommend you renew your current seat. Once the Renew Your Seat deadline on Tuesday, April 23rd (12pm) has passed, there may be further seats that become available. These will only be available from the Move Your Seat period starting at 10am Wednesday, April 24th.
If you wish to move your seat after this point, you can do so by clicking here, selecting your Season Ticket under the “Season Tickets” tab and then selecting the “Replace Seat” button. You will then be able to browse all available seats and move your seat.
Alternatively, you can contact Supporter Services on 0117 963 0600 who will be able to assist.
Please note, you will not be able to move into the South Stand.”

You can buy a seat that’s not currently taken at any time.

You don’t have to wait for move your seat day, that’s specifically for seats currently held by ST holders that are becoming vacant.

I renewed, switched stand (along with 4 others) back on April 10th.

Although not if he’s not an existing season ticket holder presumably (I presumed he wasn’t as he was asking after the renewal time cut off). If you’re a member you can buy from Thurs and general sale from Friday.

Anyone else having an issue with the tickets online, if I select free seasons to buy it then errors out saying “Series is not available for sale”

Won’t be open for moves/sales yet:

    RENEW YOUR SEAT DEADLINE
    12pm Tuesday, April 23rd

    MOVE YOUR SEAT
    Between 10am and 5pm Wednesday, April 24th

    MEMBERS SALE
    10am Thursday, April 25th

  7. Entertaining game! I thought James should have had a pen for Leeds before Boro scored their third - looked to me that the defender kicked his leg into the ball rather than a clean tackle. Still prefer no VAR though - and it evens itself out (eg their offside goal).

If I was a Boro fan I'd be feeling the officials have had a brown envelope each.

Or Leicester and Ipswich depending on how promotion ends up.

Is there a way to switch to monthly payment option instead of the full whack with a renewal?

“You are able to pay for your Season Ticket either in one full payment via Debit or Credit Card or by spreading the cost over nine months (please note: we do not accept American Express).

If you choose to spread the cost of your Season Ticket(s) there will be a fee of £25 per application and payments will be split across nine months. The first monthly payment will be taken on June 1st 2024 and the last payment on February 1st, 2025. There is a maximum of four Season Tickets per pay monthly application. Further terms and conditions of our Pay Monthly Scheme can be requested.”

  10. I thought Leeds would run away with the title after they blew us away. By far and away the best team I’ve seen this season. Just shows that consistency is a problem for most teams in the championship.

Interesting to note the article on the OS today, reminding people of tomorrows deadline (again!) but still no update on number sold…….

If we are getting an update, I’d expect it after the deadline expires. We may not get one until even later though. I guess we won’t get to see how many seats in the SS have been freed up for POTD until the tickets for the first match of the season go on sale though.

I think the booing has been directed more at the management and board than the players.

Perhaps - but has anyone told the players?! (Plus it is clearly linked to the performance on the pitch.)

“At the end of the day, we need to decide if the need to get every decision precisely correct at all times matters more than the joy of the fan experience. Essentially it’s about whether we view football as science or art. Personally I would rather accept the possibility of human error if that’s what is necessary to preserve the joy. If we can’t truly celebrate those moments and absolutely lose ourselves in the rush of pure adrenalin, then I don’t see the point of all this any more.

I agree. I’m not looking forward to VAR if we ever get to the PL. When we score, we won’t know for sure whether it counts or not - we’ll have to wait for the check. It’s bound to impact the celebration and the joy of the moment.

    WHERE WAS KP?

Got booked for running on the pitch when they scored the winner in the previous round so was suspended today 🤦‍♂️

‘The in-form Sky Blues’ playmaker was booked for encroaching onto the pitch to celebrate Haji Wright’s winning goal that stunned Premier League Wolves in the 110th minute of a pulsating quarter-final clash at Molineux. It was Palmer’s second yellow card in the competition, having picked up a caution in the 1-1 fourth round draw at Sheffield Wednesday in January.’

This new entitled culture of booing your team off when losing at half time or full time no matter who you're playing, really irks me too.

I find it embarrassing at half time especially - such ‘support’ isn’t really going to encourage the players to turn it around in the second half.

Wish I could share that enthusiasm and am totally happy to be proven wrong. I’ve had enough of it now - things have become cyclical and for the first time, I’ve decided I won’t be renewing next season.

These performances have all come a little too late, which is easier when there is nothing to play for (other than contract renewal/being here next season). Will things change next season when the pressure is back on to make the top 6 - doubt it, but if we do, fair play!

I can understand anyone taking a break from a season ticket - I’ve done it in the past too, but that’s been to do with personal circumstances rather than performances, owners or club staff.

At the moment I have the time and money to commit and I do enjoy watching Championship football. I’m pleased we are seeing some stability at this level for once as that can only help us in the longer term. I also expect to watch some poor City performances from time to time - such is life! I’ve been in my current seat since the South Stand opened (so 10th consecutive season next season) and I do like its location so that would be hard to give up (especially as it may not be possible to get a season ticket in the SS in future). My Dad sat next to me until he passed away last year and now my wife does (or my daughter when my wife can’t make it). Ashton Gate holds lots of memories - for example given that other thread on here, I still have vivid memories of my feelings as I walked to the ground with my Dad before we beat Portsmouth to clinch promotion to Div 1 48 years ago (plus the after-match celebrations of course!).

I must admit that I’m more uneasy about the impact of the new TV deal and whether that will have an impact on my attendance as I live a fair distance away - more mid week evening kick off times might be a challenge and make it easier for me to switch on the TV.

Anyway, I fully expect us to be promoted in 2026 - 50 years after last time - so I have to stick around for that!

We’ve signed the least number of players across the Championship in those 3 seasons!

Interesting stat - hadn’t appreciated that. Important info in terms of expectations.
