  1. I’ve not watched yet. Depends whether ‘spending’ means any spend or net spend, i.e. we sell a player, but only use a portion of it on a purchase.
  2. Always fascinates me as to how investors choose a particular club to invest in, i.e. why Crawley over any other league 2 club? Enjoyed our trip to Crawley in our last promotion season.
  3. He even celebrated with someone’s laptop! Jamie Paterson: Laptop celebration was 'pure adrenalin', says Swansea City forward https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/60985119
  4. I had the same issue earlier (instalments the only option). I cleared cookies and tried again later and the upfront payment option did appear and went through ok. Obviously a few gremlins in the system.
  5. I have similar challenges re midweek matches. As I understand it, the World Cup break for the Championship is three weeks so there will be a few matches to squeeze in elsewhere albeit I know we are starting a week early next season (30 July).
  6. I presume there may be even more midweek matches next season given the break for the World Cup
  7. Dan Bentley was on Sound of the City for the full hour tonight. Very interesting programme. Dan spoke very well and I can see why NP chose him as captain.
  8. He did! Co-owner did too! The joys of football.
  9. I’m hoping for Jay RWB (and Pring LWB) so that Weimann doesn’t have to play there.
  10. On your first point - which is really about defensive errors - Pearson was quite clear in the press conference last week that we don’t have the centre back attributes/qualities that are required and that he always expects. Basically the centre backs are not performing at the level that we need. This was in answer to a Q about recruitment and the need for a right back - he put centre backs as the priority. So we don’t need to waste money on sacking Pearson and finding a new manager - we need to find some money for defensive reinforcements. As others have said, we need to give Pearson time to turn it around.
  11. That’s 4 of them. On each other’s shoulders?
  12. Boston. That goal at Palace in the play off semi mind - one of City’s best, if not the best.
  13. Hope he does well and keeps them in the league.
  14. Scott has everything. And that includes excellent stamina, which you don’t often see in young players new to the pace of the championship.
  15. Also shows you how quickly they are learning/improving. They all played (plus Bakinson) v Sheff Utd at end of Nov and it was hard work. James and King are becoming gradually less vital to our success - which I suspect was Pearson’s plan all along; a few old heads to help the younger ones progress/integrate.
  16. There is simply nothing that Alex Scott can’t do. Great defensive work then.
  17. Wish someone would attack the near post when Bell crosses.
  18. Not sure if posted elsewhere, but for those interested the full Points West programme from 1982 is also worth watching as well: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=DrH_YEoY8YM
