  1. It must be that - he missed the end of preseason - although, given that, surprised Tanner hasn’t come in. I can only assume Tanner isn’t 100% too.
  2. Thanks. Only 1 red button match shown on that list and even then it is on Sky Sports Arena as well (WBA v Brum). Perhaps others will show up later though.
  3. Are there any red button matches this season (not seen any advertised yet)?
  4. Doesn’t the fact that we have offered a contract - presumably on better terms - mean that we at least get some compensation as Massengo is under 24? If so but we then withdraw the offer, presumably we wouldn’t get that. Clearly not as much as a transfer fee but would be better than nothing.
  5. Done ? Bakinson departs City | Bristol City
  6. I’ve done the same. Of course you could question why keep them, but too soon!
  7. Going to be a great atmosphere. Don’t know why anyone would want to move the away fans - we have the perfect set up now: home fans with a covered concourse with great facilities that links all 3 home stands; away fans in a separate self-contained stand. Ideal. Plus the Atyeo stand has seen better days - not convinced many home fans would choose to sit there for £30+ so better to get that from away support.
  8. Agree that we didn’t bottle it. And the highlights I’ve just watched support my memory - we attacked far more than Hull. Adebola, Carle, Trundle (twice) and Byfield all had decent chances. We lacked quality on the day but we certainly gave it a go. It just wasn’t our day. We had such a tight squad and losing both McCombe and Orr was always going to be a tough ask. Orr probably would have blocked the Windass shot if it wasn’t for his serious head injury. This was nothing like our performance v Brighton in the league one play off final where we certainly did bottle it.
  9. Surprised he’s gone down to league one.
  10. I was wondering what to do with mine (arrived today)! Good idea - a pic of the 2022-23 promotion team perhaps!
  11. Yep - don’t book your holidays too early; FA cup final is in June!
  12. Will be a great atmosphere. May have been even more entertaining if LJ was still in charge of Sunderland! And the second Saturday home match is Cardiff - another great atmosphere.
  13. In the article I linked.
  14. Yes I think that option ended when the priority period ended.
  15. Approx 1400 of the 13k season tickets sold so far are under 12s: ️ Fewer than 100 South Stand Season Tickets left | Bristol City
  16. Think Scotland already applied this.
  17. Whereas Wilson broke his holiday to have his medical with us.
  18. I think this change might work well for us. May help us manage time on the pitch for our youngsters/players stepping up to the pace of the championship.
  19. Seems to be one of those players who can play in a number of positions but presume he has been signed to give us more attacking options in midfield, front 3 or right wing. Replacement for O’Dowda and Palmer in effect - and bang in line with Gould’s statement that we must get full value for money from every pound spent
  20. Did you hear Twentyman’s programme with GJ on Monday and the clip of Bradley Orr saying such positive things about GJ?
  21. No chance - not one “let me be really clear”!
  22. Just keep him away from Cheltenham and we’ll be fine.
  23. Bit harsh - definitely a full stop/comma between right back and on both sides! Great interview. Nice to see that he wants to be in the city as well as the club.
  24. Great post. The only caveat I would put on it is that streaming at 3pm would be great option for those fans who are too elderly/disabled to get to Ashton Gate. We have disabled badges for car parking; why not for streaming football matches. Wouldn’t impact attendances.
  25. Exciting times. I never understood the doom and gloom and the “I’m not renewing my season ticket because I’m not enjoying it” sentiment. It’s the Championship FFS - a great division so what’s not to like; far better than being in league one (or worse). Plus we have an experienced manager who knows what he is doing at this level. We have some great young talent. We improved in the latter part of the season. Yes some of these signings are unproven at this level but this is the market we are in - and we will have beaten a lot of other clubs to Kane Wilson. On Twitter you can see Watford fans who are cheesed off that they missed out (despite the manager connection). I’d rather we were signing a young league two player of the season than an experienced championship has been or journeyman. I’m also pleased that we have prioritised the defence and done our business really early. Our club is in safe hands.
