Regardless of suitability to the LM model, even at Burnley he must be earning a relative fortune, so are we going down that route again ?

He was good btw which is what I expected.

I don’t actually think in football terms he’s on a huge wage (it obviously is to the normal working man though!!)

Lansdown told the ‘customers’ not to get too attached to players. Conway is probably gone in the summer to bolster that nest egg.

On this occasion it won’t be about his nest egg it will be because the club are likely aware of things we are not in regards to Conway and his current thinking. Let’s be honest, and I’m not SL biggest fan, but i don’t think selling TC will impact his life in the slightest.

Nothing to see here because you're also one of the ones thats abusing the initiative?

The fact is because it's being abused and seats are sold but not used the club are losing out on money. Roughly I spend between 500-700 per season at Ashton Gate on top of my tickets. That's a lot of money for the club to be missing out on when you times it by x amount.

That's why premier league clubs have all the ticket exchanges or will buy tickets back. Because if a seat is sold but not used, they lose money.

I'm glad the club are now clamping down on this. Hopefully those who hold such seats will give them up in the future and fans will actually be able to buy a ticket in the SS.

I have a season ticket as does my daughter and nephew and his mate, (Lansdown)

I can’t make every game so as the driver, if i can’t go, they cant go, which will leave 4 empty seats. I’m sure im not the only one who’s like this

  4. The same with any player, there doesn’t have to be a camp where you either ‘Love’ or ‘Hate’ a player. For me, Max is not the best keeper I’ve seen, and i think we could, and will improve in that area, as I’d like to think we will do in a few others too.

Did you do your ironman in July or is this the next one? Do you think you're over the Covid issues now? I think most of mine has cleared up, I assume I'll always have asthma now but I've not needed my inhaler in ages. It's taken 2 years but finally over the long covid now I think.

I've got my eyes on an ultra in June, 24 hour event and in the training for it I'm considering Brecon Beacons marathon at the start of May and possibly something sooner if dates match up.

Yes - I did Outlaw at the end of July which was the full Ironman distance. I’m finding after long events, Im needing a long break to recover properly. I’m also struggling to get back to where i was still (3 mins off my 10kpb currently) but do feel I’m making some progress. I’ve put a bit of weight on since July too so back calorie counting as that’s also a factor.
That Brecon Beacon marathon will be amazing, fair play, and the ultras are good, I did Greenman a few years back which was a tough, but lovely run around the outskirts of Bristol. I think they do a winter and summer one.

Gloucester half marathon in March, hopefully great north run and sodbury slog again.may Hill massacre in February. Good luck for marathon and iron man.never ran at that sort of distance!

Fair play - some good runs in there. I love the slog, i did the Walter Raleigh half marathon on the weekend which reminded me of the slog, it was a tough old run around Budleigh, Sidmouth etc for this early in the year, I’ve not done much proper training since July one, even though i have been getting out etc

Could argue that he was partially at fault for the Bowen goal but he also made two excellent saves from Bowen and Ward-Prowse to keep us into the game allowing us to grab the leveller. Great reaction from Max and the team today after that early set back

Pretty much where i am with him today

Hi all.  I am seeking advice for my daughter.  Her family live in Sussex and are coming to Ashton Gate for their 5 year old to see his first game.

She says City’s booking site is confusing.  It says Upper Lansdown is for families but it has different prices.

so question is.  Is the Upper Lansdown for families?  Can you see from that position ?  Why different prices, are we right in assuming cheaper seats have restricted views?

Any help much appreciated.  My grandson represents the fifth generation of City supporters, from 19th to 21st century.

We’re in W8 in the upper Lansdown and that’s a family block. We’re on the edge of the 18yard box at the south end and personally think we have a great view

There’s a small subset of rugby fans who have absolutely no regards for other fans.  It’s all about how many pints “the lads” can get through regardless on how many trips to the concourse that means.

It would be great if some sections were alcohol free, or not allowed to be brought in during play at least.

Wasn’t there a massive scrap in the stands a few years back with Exeter & Bristol fans

Right, been on to BS (aptly shortened) - They are going to ring me back between 1600-1700hrs today- Likely have to collect from Window 20 at the ticket Office at West Ham.  Guy said that the tickets were only sent out "late last week" - didn't think to ask when they received them! 🙄

That’s what I’ve done. Im not about tomorrow so I’ve just arranged to collect from window 20
