    Ahem, clears throat.....

'I never felt more like singin the blues' etc etc etc.

**** me, I almost forgot the words!

Sorry to disappoint you but I never felt more like singin the blues etc etc etc. ain't the right lyrics.

I'll give you a clue - its the "etc etc etc" bit that's wrong.

    That looks good compared to pitches back in the day - first division game Derby v Wolves;

Image result for baseball ground muddy pitch

Muddy Hell ! Looks like the spuds are ready for harvesting.

At least Wimbledon were honest enough to name their ground Plough Lane, and Ipswich decided to be the Tractor Boys.

Yeah, in that pedestrianised bit, all walked up, "we're Man City", so what, they though we were all gonna run, we didn't

They showed up to test our reputation after we had been featured on BBC News.

Middle-Eastern benefactor buys one bottle of shandy for his band of doting followers to share.

Overwhemed by such generosity, the in-breds chant " Messiah ! Messiah! " waving six-fingers and tent-pegs in the air.

All later rushed to A & E after drinking Wally's piss.

I remember they had a mini pitch invasion when they got relegated. There wasn't enough of them to class it as a demonstration.

They invaded the pitch to celebrate.

They thought they'd won the game, but then slowly realised Mansfield had worn their away strip. Duh !

A minor anecdote to pass on:

I asked a Plymouth supporting colleague, and season ticket holder who also goes to some away games with several mates, if he was going to their cup game against Rovers today.

He said that none of them were going because of how poor were the stand and facilities for away supporters and that they didn't intend going again until they heard that it had been significantly improved.

Having a bad ground is definitely costing them; though this is just one anecdote.

"Stands" and "facilities" ain't no better for the home(less) supporters.

The Council should just convert that dump into a local refuse amenity site.

Oh I see what you have done there :)

Well considering we have only had 7000 home supporters once this season and that one section of the ground is closed on Sunday ( Yeah I know) my guess is that there will be around 4000 Rovers and 1500 Plymouth.

Are you telling us they can actually divide up that dilapidated dump into "sections"?

Talk about trying to big up dirty plastic chairs and moth-eaten tents.

3 takeover bids on offer according to Points West tonight.

1; only if the fruit market site is a done deal.

    2; unnamed American investor

3; another group which still includes the fake sheikh

    1. Definitely a dumb deal.

    2. Too ashamed to be named.

    3. Oh for fake sheikh !
