Their relegation will be one of those ‘where were you’ moments for years to come. I was at Crawley, I can’t even remember the result or anything about the match only that it was glorious weather as our attention was elsewhere! I was having my first experience of Coach One (!) and the return to Bristol was party time, a great laugh ( yes really, they all hate the Gas with passion I didn’t think was possible ).

I returned home to discover all the talk was about the Radio Bristol phone in, obviously I had been blissfully unaware. Someone kindly posted a link on here and it certainly extended the celebration!

According to them some of us were in the Mansfield end.

    Today's giggle; http://gaschat.co.uk/thread/13036/new-stands?page=19 ipgas posted

It is for me because I have watched 50 years of mediocraty. I have seen Rovers in the Championship, Div 1, and 2 and non league, but mostly half way up Division One, or div 3 as it was. I want something better, I want us to have crowds of 20k+ like we did when I was a kid. If we had not have sold Eastville, I have no doubt that we would be the bigger of the 2 Bristol clubs. But that is history, and since then every ground we have been at has been crap, and the Mem is no different. I want to be a gashead watching a reasonable team in the Championship, not floundering around in the lower half of league one, because our sh**ty ground can only provide funds enough to do that. Meanwhile even some non league clubs have better grounds. Bloody angry to think some of you have no ambition for the club

    Whoa! What a fool.

There's only one team in Bristol !

I see that one of them has the temerity to disagree with the swivel-eyed mob and is immediately accused of being a gurt ted and told to get back to OTIB.

He`s also committed the cardinal sin of suggesting that they allow our fans on their shitty little site so they`re no doubt sharpening their pitchforks and lighting the torches as we speak.

    You said it

Can't wait for either Clarke to walk or get the sack, just so they can go into meltdown about who the new manager will be...

.... Only for Wally to appoint some Jordanian goat-herder or shepherd as he sees it as a sure fire way to build 'The club' overseas.

    Breaking News !

Their Saviour has arrived in Horfield

(Goat to be appointed Assistant Manager)

Seems the club have confused themselves as well - do they need planning permission or not, they said they don't need it, yet still agreed they need to put planning permission in once the structures are up - so they did know they needed it.

A spokesperson for Rovers said the current status of the stands were as ‘temporary structures’, which doesn't need planning permission. They said the Safety Advisory Group, which issues safety certificates for the stadium, had worked with the club throughout the process over the summer and were happy with what has happened.

The club worked with all the relevant authorities, including Bristol City Council, on its plans, and said it was agreed they would first put up the stands as temporary structures and then apply for planning permission once they were up and before they fell down.

But neither stand has formal planning permission, and the club has now submitted a retrospective planning application to Bristol City Council.

Just added something that they had redacted.

They are now expecting the club to charter them a train so they can transport all the hordes to their away matches ...

"We need cheap transport to Sunderland by train. Not a done deal in recent years but with help from gorringe could be achievable. Let's get football specials back on track."

Ah yes, the old Rovers Special - but would they really be able to fill such a behemoth again?

    Latest on the missing seats....

" I was in the shop yesterday. They have had to stop selling tickets for the South West Stand due to the problem with row M not existing. People who were allocated that row need to pick new seats, hence only season ticket holders allowed in.

Just what they need to accommodate their non-existent fans.

I think it's great that both Bristol football clubs are upgrading their stadiums to accommodate their loyal fans...

C'mon let's be fair.....at least theirs is portable, and warrants special atTENTion, as they can transport it to away games...or better still, the local tip (oh sorry my bad, that's where it is already).

I hope Darrell and his rabble realise they spoilt this poor Sags evening

Just home in darkest Somerset and in a foul mood. Pretty awful performance against an Accrington side who were well up for it and deserved their win. Cancelled my evening out with the good lady and decided to stay at home. Will spend my evening looking out of the lounge window and shaking my fist and mouthing obscenities at the passers-by. I will feel better by Tuesday.

This was probably poated by Darrell himself.
