Every time I go to a match I have to do all my coke in one go............. as the safety police won't let me have the lid for the bottle.
And trying to take it sitting down it’s just a nightmare

All clubs go through a bad season. Man City did a few seasons back, United have had plenty.
The efforts Liverpool put in over the last couple of years to try and beat Man City to the league title and especially last season in playing literally every match possible, including losing the CL final,it’s not really a surprise that they aren’t on it this season.
For the style of football they play with a high line and aggressive press if you aren’t bang on it you’ll get picked off.
They also need a player overhaul, especially in midfield.

Never been to Goodison so really want them to come down so we get to play there before it gets knocked down.
Biased as being an Everton fan as well as City (Please no one start on can’t support 2 teams) but Goodison may not be the best stadium in the world but my does it have a lot of character and history.
Wrong to run it down as being a dump.

If he acted professionally though his advice to them would have to be `whatever you do, don`t invest in a football club unless you want to waste millions chasing a dream`
Surely that’s what they invest for unless for sports washing reasons

Are France better than us? Don't rate that Centre Midfield, even Man Utd won't touch that Rabiot
I would say they are overall better than us and we’d need to play at our best to stand a chance. We are capable of beating them but if Mbappe is on fire again we will be in trouble. Might be a high scoring game and we have to try and out score them

Wow.....one shot one goal....
Completely against the run of play.
Great awareness from Bellingham
What? It’s been quite an even game. The other team are the African champs you know, they are allowed to compete in the game.
They’ve made it very difficult for us, but hey we’ve scored 2 clinical goals. If we don’t score 8 more second half then new manager for the quarters I’d say

Hey Germany, it’s not all bad. You’re still in the top group of the Nations League!

Just listened to this today and Tinman’s passion for the role really came across.
My only concern with the setup is the jobs for the boys. Micky Bell, Matty Hewlett. Hope they are there on merit and not just because he knows them

At this moment with the negative muppet in charge, no. But we have the players to be better than them yes
Sorry, but I think you’re wearing slightly rose tinted glasses. Yes we have some good players but we aren’t on the same level as those teams.
I do agree with those saying that Foden should maybe have come on last night but it’s the typical stick to beat an England manager with. “Oh if he’d played such and such we’d be watching a completely different game as such and such is the best player ever”
He should have come on instead of Sterling or Saka as he usually plays wide in a front 3.
Alexander-Arnold is the one I felt should have come on as the best passer and crosser in the team. Trippier had a bit of a mare last night

Players play a formation and role outlined by the manager. Did he change anything after the first 45 to change the game?
Thats unless you think players just get on the pitch and do what they want.
USA played well. England have better players man for man across the pitch, unfortunately sitting deep doing anything but attacking.
If only football were that simple

Can we all agree that Southgate failed to either anticipate or deal with the playstyle of the USA.
Wales struggled with them in their first half and while second was a case of pressing and working the channels to get both possession and chances.
What's frustrating is Southgates complete inability to change a game.
So we can’t say that the USA played well and if England didn’t play well that it’s all Southgate’s fault and not the players at all.

With all at his disposal he should be winning tournaments
What's he won?
Why should we be winning tournaments? Are we better than France, Spain, Brazil, Portugal, even Italy maybe (and they didn’t even qualify)? No, I don’t think we are

The amount of people who are looking too much into this side and getting angry over it is staggering. It’s our first game for **** sake. And it’s against Iran.
Don’t think there’s been anyone getting angry here just giving normal comments/suggestions on the team. It being a forum and all

(4-3-3) Pickford; Trippier, Stones, Maguire, Shaw; Bellingham, Rice, Mount; Saka, Kane (c), Sterling
Respect Gareth for sticking to the players he trusts but I’d have gone for Dier instead of Maguire and Foden instead of Mount
