But but pearson doesn’t lie about injuries!
£20m+ so might not be £25m. How did they do that without getting a seat at the table?!
Brought their own seat maybe

Glad someone else mentioned that.
Given the positivity across pre-season, the big crowd (although that can sometimes negatively impact atmosphere), the Flag Day...I thought the atmosphere was very average, perhaps less than that but it was not good.
The tempo with which we started the game didn't help. For the first home match of the season the first half was dire. Like struggle to stay awake dire.
Bell's one chance when he should really have scored was the only real attempt on goal from either side

Cornick was frustrating to watch. If being quick isn't his thing then you need that quickness of thought or movement. He didn't show that today

Preston looked sharper than us for most of the game i thought. They may well have been struggling with cramp come the end but considering we were the home team we didn't seem at it for most of the game. Saying that we had the best chance in the FH and restricted them to hardly any clear cut chances

Few Wolves fans on Twitter clinging to a rumour that they are back in with another offer

We must.be doomed!
Do we have enough tables for all of these?
Do we need to bring out the emergency xmas chairs?

So is the Bournemouth representative actually sat on a chair at the table or just hovering pretending that they have a chair.
Meanwhile the Wolves representative is just hanging around in the background like Greg in Succession (never got why that series was so popular)

Regardless of the financial impact of the Saudis throwing there cash around the more interesting impact for me is what impact that will have on the the transfer food chain from the lower prem teams down who maybe will have lost players to the saudi teams or lost potential aging transfer targets from to the top teams whom they'd maybe think they could pick up.
Will it mean more younger unknown players getting there chance more and more chances for academy players?

This blog seems pretty close i think to a lot of fans current feelings on our success this season.

And isn’t it sickening that all this money is theirs simply because of luck?
Get what your saying but our country has built a lot it's wealth historically from just taking from lesser developed countries (the British empire) so don't think we can pretend to be whiter than white compared to the Saudis.
What annoys me more is the footballers, golfers etc who are taking these extreme amounts of money when they were already millionaires. Money that could do help solve a lot of the world's problems, especially countering global warming.

It may turn out to be just a rehash but I am inclined to believe that the next bid by Wolves will also fall below £25m.
Higher than before but short of £25m. We shall see.

I'm still waiting for the £50 million Saudi bid

I hope so, would like to see better PL teams than Bournemouth (especially) and Wolves come in for him.
I'd love to see him at a top 8 club but i just don't think they will take the plunge right now. They are all probably happy for a lesser prem team to sign him for now and then snap him up if he tears it up in the prem this coming season.
Can't see Brighton even coming in with the young players they already have coming through like Enciso.
If a top 8 team came in then it would likely be to then loan him out to another prem team and at £25 million plus i don't see them wanting to do that

His Instagram yesterday was him and Tommy sat on the sofa in their apartment with Andy King’s little daughter sat between them. Pretty grounded I reckon (and TC too).
His groundedness can only help as to his appeal to clubs and help us get the price we want

I'm more concerned with who's going to be the first person to go to page 100. Do they win a prize?
On the actual topic. I could be wrong but i don't see West Ham splashing the Rice cash. They'll know that people know they have that money and so won't be wanting to pay the high fees that they'll be challenged to cough up.
Queue £25 million bid on the nose

I know their interest has waned, but I'd have loved to have seen Alex go to Brighton - I think he would've thrived there under De Zerbi and they are happy to move players on at a high price to reinvest in younger players, which we could've benefitted from in the future.
If Caicedo goes that could still happen.

Wolves and Bournemouth will be in a relegation battle all season. Only one of them will stay up due to Luton and sheff utd being that much worse. I don’t think either are good clubs for Scott to move to. Surely needs to be a Brighton or West Ham, maybe even villa
I think you'll find Everton are in a worse situation than both those two, and then you have teams like, Burnley, Forest, Palace who will be probably in the scrap to stay up as well
