I think (if insisting on English)

    Howe and Potter definitely would.

I hope we don’t insist on an English appointment next time because so many managers would love to manage us.

Why would Howe and Potter definitely do better than Southgate?

You didn’t say international trophy you just said trophy winners!
And last I checked Southgate hasn’t won shit, probably because he’s clueless and I’m willing to bet he never wins a trophy in his managerial Career at the top level!

So which non-clueless realistic coach should we be employing?

    Couple of q’s

You think Dunk is better on the ball than Maguire ?

Who do you think was the better centre back tonight Maguire or Guehi ?

Yes, i think Dunk is better on the ball than Maguire. All i saw Maguire do was pass the ball around the back or to Rice.

I never said that Guehi had a stormer. A lot of the players were off the boil. I just don't think Maguire should have started.

Not saying though that him starting is why we didn't win the game

The scapegoating , jump on , and noise around Maguire is tedious

IMHO he had a decent game and a better performance than some of his much acclaimed team mates

Totally entitled to your opinion but i disagree and think he was bang average and partially responsible for the slowness of our build up.

It's a sad state of affairs of England can't muster 2 center halves that actually play for their club.

Why does Dunk not get a look in? Even Webster who isn't getting in the starting 11 for Brighton I'd have over Maguire.

    That's my opinion

  5. I'm a Southgate supporter. I'm not down with those who just want him out regardless of what we do. Living in some magical world where there's this super coach we should be employing instead, but he really didn't help himself tonight by playing Maguire (not playing for his club) and Henderson (playing in retirement league).

Saying that i put a lot of the blame on today's last lustre performance on the players. Too many poor performances.

  6. For all the SL bashing and theorising on what he's planning to do with the club, despite his wealth it must be totally gutting for him to have spent the amounts he has on infrastructure and covering the debts every season that all he has achieved is to have got us out of league 1.

A billionaire running a reasonably sized club in a big city has only managed to get us from League 1 to the Champ and even there we've only been in the playoffs once and that was a season when nobody was expecting us to even get in the playoffs.

An LJ book? I cannot think of something I would sooner use as fish and chip paper! A load of nonsense no doubt! As I said, wouldn’t welcome him back to BS3 ever in any capacity.

Bit harsh to say you wouldn't welcome him back in any capacity. Ok, we wouldn't want to have him back in any club role and i wouldn't say I'm desperate to read his book but he did give his best for the team and did progress our league position season on season till his demise including getting us in the mix for the playoffs. The football may not have been great at times and he did get through a fair amount of players but the club supported him. Not his fault

When you’re a selling club, one of the biggest achievements in any window is to get to the close without losing important players unexpectedly or at the last minute, or both. It’s not inconceivable that silly, left field offers may yet emerge for Pring or Vyner ( or conceivably something completely unforeseen, like Weiman or Wells). So priority one is not to lose anyone else.

Pretty much all clubs bar a very small group are selling clubs

More concerned if there’s been yet another situation where the manager has been hung out to dry (think Cotterill in 2015) once again than Scott leaving. He was obviously going this summer, but if this causes issues with Pearson through negligence then that’s a worry.

He knew that Scott was likely to go and I'm sure he knows roughly what funds he'll have available already. He will already have plans in place with Tins that they'll be putting into action. Whether they come off will come down to the transfer window gods
