  1. No.........Thomas Grannemark is the man? Well worth employing him, if only for a couple of weeks? He has been specialising in throw in techniques for the past 18 years. Danish side MIdjytilannd are great exponents, and it has been estimated that the year they won the Danish league, over 10 - of their goals originated from throw ins? He points out numerous occasions when teams have conceded from poor throw ins? Basically every team looks for advantages, and adding good efficient,, well thought out throw in routines and techniques can add to that armoury, in defence and attack? We have already conceded at least 2 goals already this season due to poor throw ins? Why not look at answers, and solutions instead of just making do? it is a professional game, that needs professional approaches in every aspect of the game...........even the seemingly mundane?
  2. Liverpool FC actually employ a specialist "throw in" coach, from what I understand? At first this may seem faintly absurd, but considering how vitally important "throw ins" can be to attacks and defence, it seems a pretty smart move. All sides look for ANY advantage they can muster, and "throw ins" often seem to be an afterthought or a neglected aspect of the game?. From what can be analysed, it would appear that we are not only wasteful, but also vulnerable and shortsighted, regarding this feature, and it goes without saying that we have conceded goals purely as a result of not using our "throw ins" positively. It needs to be addressed, and if any coach is worth his salt, he will concentrate on improving our mindset and approach to this important issue? I have rambled on enough........when all i really need to say is..............."Get your Pheckin Act Together!!"
  3. Fair enough.....and don't get me wrong, as i am a supporter of NP (I will NEVER call him Nige Ha!!) But there was not a lot of specific content, but a lot of repeated dialogue, which was mostly due to the poor questions? Can someone please!! ask him what is the situation with Kalas and Klose?
  4. I have no problem with our performance today , I thought we worked hard, and mostly looked good. My concern is with Burnley's 4th minute opening goal. We parted like the Red Sea, and more or less invited Manuel to shoot, no closing down, no challenges....and there we are after 4 minutes with a mountain to climb. We really make life so difficult for ourselves on occasions? For me, that was one of the worst goals we have conceded all season......and we all know that we have conceded quite a few ..Ha! it was not about an individual error, it was all about collective lethargy and stupidity?
  5. Four defeats all by just one goal ...and we have scored in every game. Happy day's ahead IMO?
  6. 17 points in the bag...................As Jazz man would say? Nice.
  7. On the subject of Pens.....I hope the Football League will consider giving Nathan "Casey" Jones a special award for "Whiner of the Year". I hear him after every match on Sky bemoaning their lack of penalties and how unjust the World is, in that distinctive Welsh drone? Ha! He has no idea how good they have it compared to our dismal record?
  8. NP Obviously knows best.........but considering the short gap between fixtures, it could be an idea to start with "The Beast" and give Tommy a rest on the bench?
  9. Am i being unnecessarily harsh? I felt Bentley didn't cover himself in glory for all 3 goals, i am fully aware that others mistakes contributed to the situations arising, but especially for the 2nd he was very indecisive. I am probably nitpicking, but i just felt he didn't have the best of games? PS. Unrelated, but if only young Tommy had looked up and spotted Andi in space in the 1st minute.........it would have been a different game? But i can forgive him anything, considering what he has already achieved so far this season! Ha!!
  10. I have everything crossed, including my eyes. City have constantly surprised me this season, but after 8 games without defeat, i can see a narrow loss tonight....but hopefully they will surprise me! Lets be fair, if O'Dowda actually scored a goal for Cardiff last night.............anything is possible?
  11. Give Bajic a few weeks and i can see him getting a first team game.....maybe in the Cup?
  12. We all know where treasure ends up? Ha! ?
  13. And so say all of us..................?
  14. Yep a moment in time that should have been seized to allow many thousands of people the opportunity to express their respect at public events, instead of sitting in the pub? Pointless exercise, that achieves nothing IMHO. However thankyou so much for letting me know that i can spend my weekend reflecting..........I would never have thought of doing that. ?
  15. Exactly........."Fair and sensible" is the correct phrase. Unlike the fools, who run football, who in their shortsightedness have denied fans the opportunity at games across the entire country to lead tributes and display their affection for our former Queen. I wish someone from FA could please explain to us all what cancelling football matches has achieved ? With the lying in State of her Majesty for four day's and the funeral still to come, what else do the FA & FL cretins have in store for us? PS. Nevertheless we can all go racing at Doncaster on Sunday!
  16. Yep...hopefully the next thing to be cancelled will be the World Cup......and then Christmas? Then we can all Mourn the rest of our live's away. ?
  17. That would involve thinking ahead.........something that the members of the FL & FA are incapable of? Unless they are trying to get a salary raise?
  18. Do not bother introducing logic..........as there is no thought or reasoning in the behaviour of a cabal of stupid old men purporting to do the right thing....and failing?
  19. What a silly man? What if it had been a Frankfurter & Sauerkraut and a Greek Kebab?..........would he have stuffed that down?
  20. What a pointless absurdity. It seems to be that Rugby, Cricket, Golf etc are mostly going ahead...and even the Queen's main sporting interest of Racing is resuming on Sunday. Yet in a disrupted season, due to the ridiculously inappropriate Qatar fiasco, the cretins at the Football League and the FA have their nose's so far up the establishments ass's, that after chatting over Scotch, at their Tory drinking clubs ......they decide, for no particular reason, to ruin everyone's plans and create more unnecessary expense & disruption, for in particular lower league sides? I have respect for the Queen, and on the day of her funeral, everything should be done to allow the nation to mourn a great lady. But the Deadwood who run our football continue to stumble on with no forward thinking or idea. Theyr'e could have been so many smarter, relevant and suitable ways to have handled this, and large crowds would have already been in place for people to pay tribute to, and give praise for our monarch, in various ways? What a missed opportunity by the Clowns. ??
  21. Golf? & Cricket? .......I obviously have no issue at all on the day of her funeral, but otherwise it all seems a little extreme IMHO
