Trying not to be too bitter?  But it is hard to take, that after 40 or so years supporting Bristol City FC  .......we have now become merely a pheckin feeder club for Bournemouth.  So much for ambition ?  Ha!               y

We like the majority have little choice but to sell when Premier League clubs come in. The money for the club and new wages for outgoing player is impossible to turn down.

  2. It would be a great position to be in, even if we recruited for the 4 positions people are discussing e.g. the spine of the team, at an average of £2.5m each, that still banks us a great deal of cash for the future.

Personally, I'm happy as long as we keep to our model in of buying youngish talented players with room to improve and potential resale value with a few quality experienced players guiding them.

Nige, may use the money to add to the coaching staff ala his long-term assistant manager Craig Shakespeare, just food for thought.

  3. The usual lack of research into the job he has actually done, and conditions he has had to work under, vastly reducing the squad size and bloated wage bill inherited from the previous idiots running the club. Building a young talented team from the academy and lower leagues.

  4. Good signing for the money. Really happy. Loads of potential and improves us right now.

Derby fans will be seething when they hear its a deal of up to a maximum of £1.75m, so a lot less than they hoped upfront and a number of add-ons to get to that fee.

If he is successful, they eventually get their money, but by then he is worth significantly more. Plus they have to pay out out for Wilson separately. ?

    Had their pants pulled down.

One thing QPR fans do seem agreed on is that he isn't as good in a 4 as he gets exposed more often for his lack of pace.

That would be a slight concern assuming we continue playing with a 4.

Surely after last season we aren't returning to a 3?

Apparently under Warburton initially and at Oxford he was fine in a 4 man defence. I suspect it depends on the mix of defender's or partner you play with.

  6. Preseason with Nige and Fleming plus a positive environment, I have no doubt he will be a success. Money wise its a cheapish signing for an experienced Championship centre half who has potentially alot of upside if he can recover his previous form (was previously linked with a move to the Prem) and its in a position we are very light in personnel.

Some of us have endured 20+ years of abject misery. I'd like to enjoy any success without having to put up with you Jonny come lately bandwagon jumpers :grr:

Share your pain.Try supporting the Detroit Lions, though both teams seem to be on the up.

  8. Every time I go to spend any points all the items available to buy are out of stock or unsuitable.

I have near 700 points, never going to be able do anything useful with them. The best I can hope for is a few raffle entries for an ex players top.

The club must realise people won't be able to spend them by the end of May. Poor show all around, zero loyalty and a crap scheme.

  9. We have been crying out for a defensive midfielder for ages. I think this kind of player will get the best out of many of our players, for example someone who can cover or switch with Naismith as he brings the ball out of defence.

His versatility will also be a major bonus with us operating a smaller squad.
