  1. An expensive 2nd choice full back, even on reduced terms. He is a good player at this level and should be a first choice for a team at our level.

Unfortunately for him Pring is a better fit for us and we will want another up and coming player to be his backup when who will likely be on half his current wage.

  2. So to clarify, Tinnion said there  will be 3 or 4 coming in but this figure will change dependent on outgoings . Which makes sense.

Massengo from what I have seen this season essentially downed tools putting in half hearted performances and probably looking to his future elsewhere so unsurprisingly he has been excluded and now sent on loan. Other out of contract players still seem committed and hence involved.

  3. Hopefully prices remain sensible, people are feeling the cost of living pinch. The tenancy seems for everything to be uplifted by 10% for inflation. Hopefully City can balance this otherwise people will vote with their feet out of necessity.

  4. To be considered one of the best in the world you need to produce form consistently over a longer period of time. Rashford hasn't ever done so, let's hope he can and this is not just a hot streak.

  5. Parents should be given a short ban and a reminder of their responsibilities, anyone who wrestled with the stewards should also be banned.

Can we also ban cardboard placards requesting players shirts. Can't wait to see all the kids with Kevin or Alfie can I have your shirt notices vs Man City. Just find it embarrassing.

You'd hope it hasn't taken until the final hour of the transfer window to move on Chris Martin just to free up his number!

It all about domino's falling. Waiting on Luton to sign a replacement, we can then sign Cornick and release Martin. This also needs to be all ratified by the EFL who are fairly busy this evening.

£9m is disappointing to me as I was expecting £12m as an absolute minimum as decent forwards have always been more expensive than defenders and midfielders in the main. When you consider what we got for Lloyd Kelly and Josh Brownhill, I am quite surprised.

Clearly Antoinne wants to test himself at a higher level and of course wages will naturally be a big factor too.  I wish him well with his new club and internationally and will be keeping an eye on his progress.

Whilst he has potential, he is not yet the finished product and of course had we been able to keep him, we could have found ourselves with a player with a long term injury a few games further down the road and potentially worthless from a financial perspective.

It will be interesting to see how much of that money we invest in a new forward as he will not be easy to replace.

Worth remembering those deals you mentioned were pre covid, the transfet bubble at our level has well and truly popped. Let's see what the total deal is, if disclosed.  This money could right many of the wrongs our previous regime oversaw. Onwards and upwards.

It’s more people who really thought Dyche/Wilder/Edwards would’ve answered the job offer with “oh yes, I’d love to take this job with a mediocre squad and absolutely no money, not even for loans. Count me in”

You forgot Scott Parker. Unfortunately some fans have no concept of reality.

Edit: @Bris Red beat me to it.

Based on what, he's not done anything better during his whole tenure with us

Reading the above you would think that we are the only team who get illnesses and injuries

Our problems are much deeper and more serious

Surely you have to add the perspective that he has had to massively reduce the wage bill, reduce the size and quality of the squad with little to no money in transfers and wages, plus had to blood youngsters from the academy. To tread water in those circumstances is an achievement. I think under a less experienced manager we would be currently playing Rovers in League one.

Until we can again reinvest seriously into the team it is unfair to expect better.

Turned Weimann  into one of the best strikers in the devision for starters. Apparently he’s quite sought after and worth a lot more than he was a year ago.

A win on the weekend and the mood around Ashton gate will be the best it has been for years.

Also brought through Scott, Semenyo and Conway. Reduced a bloated overpaid squad with minimal funds to recruit. Unfortunately some people are so blinkered. Reminds me of the Monty Python sketch, what did the Romans ever do for us.
