  1. Really unsure of the way forward with our Goalkeeper selection. We play as a team much better with O'Leary playing out from the back but for me in every other key attribute he is an inferior keeper to Bentley.

Do we persevere with Max and hope he can grow into the position and become more dominant and provide that confidence, at the moment he reminds me a bit of a superior Steve Phillips with crosses and his general presence, or do you bring back the safe and sure Bentley but take that edge away from our game playing out from the back.

I really can't decide, even to the point that I wonder if we should look for a better ball playing keeper in the Summer and move Bentley on if we can.

And people wonder why we are having to shop at Oxford and Carlisle for defenders. The owner, previous CEO and managers left this club in a right mess and whoever took over had a an uphill challenge to right the many poor decisions made before his tenure.

I see a young hungry team with a few key experienced players trying to build something under difficult conditions without the terrible mismanagement of the past.

I’d say it will do as there haven’t been any reports of covid for either club as far as I’m aware and I’d imagine Huddersfield will be travelling down today.

I think the game should go ahead, the club will make the stadium as safe as it can be then it comes down to personal responsibility and circumstances for individuals as to whether they are willing to accept the risk of attending.

Agreed, shame there cannot be a bit of common sense from the authorities and allow the game to be streamed for those who feel they cannot attend.

The new variant hasnt killed anyone. Anywhere. Let that sink in.

Not true, we have had one recorded death in the UK and others worldwide.

Hospitalisation, then deaths tend to follow an increase in cases by two weeks (increased hospitalisation) and then deaths after four weeks.

Its still too early to claim Omicron will not have significant impact on the NHS or fatalities.

Shades of 82 tonight. Young lads playing their hearts out. Roared on by the crowd.

Loved it. More of the same please Nige.

We have some very promising talent, Benarous, Scott, Bakinson, Tanner, Atkinson, Massengo. Slowly green shoots are shining through after years of waste.

Folks need to remember these players may blow hot and cold due to their inexperience at this level but a solid season behind them we will have a good foundation to move this squad forward.

Just need a bit of patience when they struggle a little and would welcome similar signings in January, young hungry talent over the likes of Palmer and Wells.

There is no way these teams should get bumped in their own league that then gets them into the finals .

I was just being nice as an incentive. Its only one space in stupidly expanded world cup for winning a tournament but understand its a token offer.

  7. What do the likes of San Marino get out playing in tournaments like this, I don't understand why Fifa don't organise a micro nation World Cup  (nations with less than say 500k) so the likes of Andorra, Lichtenstein, Barbados, Bermuda etc can play meaningful games. The winners would then automatically qualify for the main World Cup.

Good shout - sounds as if he’s certainly been involved in lots of areas already. Not a cheap team though I would imagine

Very true, for the money though you get one of the best first team Coaches available and a top quality recruiter both would be worth there weight in gold and would possibly transform this club of ours if given the time.

Much rather appoint this pair and lose the wages of an O'Dowda or Palmer any day of the week.

Gould categorically said no discussion has been held in relation to Shakespeare

No discussion yet. Doesn't mean it shouldn't or will not happen. Just my opinion.

I’ve thought the same, the only ‘issue’ I see with the DOF role is that I’m sure it’s been said previously that NP doesn’t like dealing with agents etc, and that would have to be part of the role surely?

I would have him looking at the entire club and be hands on when ready, I would appoint Steve Walsh to head up recruitment who would deal with the agents with Gould

  11. I still like the idea of appointing Shakespeare as Head Coach with Pearson becoming director of football, this makes more sense now given the circumstances. This arrangement can then be reviewed in the summer.
