A request to those visiting Ashton Gate for the game against Coventry, just to pass the info on,as not every one is connected to the internet.
I’d be pretty surprised if anyone who travels that distance to Ashton Gate does not have any internet access, barring possibly some ancient old boy who travels with family or friends.

Out of interest, what’s the success criteria?
It’s a football forum, not a complicated business or technically driven modification with huge financial implications, we haven’t actually drawn up a specification to analyse the trial, it’s more like suck it and see…….

Yeah not sure of the need for this myself. Ex player threads aren’t exactly a daily occurrence (other than for Lee Johnson) and the more sub forums there are the less the threads in the sub forums are used. By nature ex players fall into city chat and people can just ignore the subject on the main forum. The other thing is that when the ex player is recent the thread often includes observations from things still relevant to the club.
So, not really sure of the point here. Can see a lot of threads being moved for no real reason and it making the place less user friendly.
It was requested and it’s a trial, if it doesn’t work it will be removed and the threads put back in the main forum.

Tributes have flooded in for the The Windsors and Drop the Dead Donkey actress Haydn Gwynne, who has died aged 66.
Very sad, loved drop the dead donkey and much of her subsequent work. Sounds a short time from diagnosis to her death.

Alf Saeed thought Rovers would be a nice plaything for young Abdullatif but the more he delves into it the more he realises what a mess he's landed himself with.
What if it turns out he's not such a lovely bloke as Mr Al-Quidi and decides to liquidate ?
Stop it you tease……

Been four times now , never had the Cote de beouf , how was it? Had the scallops and the mouse. Delicious.
Lovely and tender, they will only cook it medium rare, almost a char on the outside and rare right in the middle, I’d definitely have it again. Plenty for two as well.

Went to Little French the other evening, great service, food was good, scallop starter, Cote de Beouf to share, followed by a simple, but delicious chocolate mousse. Nice wine list, whole experience was pricey but good. Been meaning to try it for years, ever since it featured in Remarkable Places to Eat.

Went out tonight, taking my mum out for a meal as haven’t seen her for a while, wasn’t going to be anything special just a bit of pub grub at the Yanleigh, which is basic pub grub, but has always been OK when I’ve been in there. Car park was rammed and all tables I could see pulling in were full, so I didn’t bother, ended up somewhere I haven’t been before, but I’ll definitely go back, Alfresco, Cleeve (on the A370). Three of us, all had different meals and starters, no one had anything negative to say about any of it. Friendly service, reasonable prices and tasty food.

When their megastand is up they'll be claiming only Real Madrid have done more to improve their ground.
The only thing that could improve their ground is a time machine and the Luftwaffe……..

Maybe someone left a zero off the text to Wally - ‘JCH for £80,000 ‘.
Wally - ‘Great sign him’
22:48, signature going on document Wally notices the extra zero added in £800,000 and wages that would cost him the best part of a very nice watch a week…… suddenly his pen runs out of ink!

Sorry is this related to something earlier in the thread?
Yes, it's related to Bert Tann's post claiming Louise Smith is acting as secretary.... whilst she seems to have her finger in many pies, legally it looks like the people listed at companies house are covering the role, this was just for clarity.

Because the lady acting as Rovers club secretary has no experience in football.
She runs her own business providing HR services to small companies in Bristol, Somerset, Gloucestershire and S Wales.

According to companies house these people are the company secretary. But it looks like Louise Smith has/is fulfilling several roles at the sags.

Not many fingernails left, but that was a decent performance.

Whether this was a deliberate ploy to rouse the blue few with fake ambition or yet another administration error, it’s comedy gold from them again. The gift that keeps on giving……

problem is, I don't live in Bristol anymore
Perfect excuse to come down on a Friday afternoon, Pony Friday night, B&B, then game on Saturday.
I haven’t been there for a while now, but I’ve always really enjoyed it there.

Does Alf see the opportunity Wally missed in terms of prime land and zero interest in the beautiful game?....
I’m not at all sure there is much beautiful about Rovers or what they’ve done to the rugby ground.

Just swapping my T5 for a T6 - thanks Marv….. New van has quite a few mods and comes in at £490, which is more than I pay for my T5, a MX-5 and a Transit Connect at the moment.

I live next to a farm full of steers, that has less bullshit than the statement above. FML what a bunch of clowns

With my serious head on, they should stay at the Mem, embrace the history of the ground, engage with the area, develop the ground properly. We are a distraction that is driving the thoughts of their supporters and short termism. They would be better doing their own thing, at their own pace. Develop the squad as an asset to become a regular top end of L1 club.
These things, when done correctly, do actually take time! They aren't being done correctly though.
With my serious head on, I hope they go bust and disappear…..

This one too that seems to have forgotten that if you do your homework, take your time and follow the process you can build/rebuild a stadium in Bristol.
The other thing is they keep referring to this as being a "temporary" structure, but that is presumably assuming that all will go well at the FM project, otherwise it will be as temporary as that flyover that used to be in front of St Mary Redcliffe church.
That flyover is sadly missed……

Finally, a mistake from Verstappen in qualifying (well, to be accurate, two mistakes) that’ll liven the race up as he tries to get in front.
Looks like some of the other cars have copied Red Bulls design and with the upgrades they are looking closer in qualifying, wonder if they have got the long run race pace and tyre management right?
