  1. Ian Gay too, talking his usual bollox. Pair of absolute whoppers.
  2. Do feel a tad uninspired. Has had 6 good months at Oxford in League 1. Was sacked at MK Dons last year. Listened to his interview on Bristol City channel and it's the usual soundbite type questions being trotted out. Pretty mundane. The one thing i'm going to miss the most about NP is that I think he really got us fans and we respected him. In this regard I think Manning has a lot to live up to. Good luck in getting us top 6 Liam, you're going to need it.
  3. It is safe to say they are not a happy bunch over in Oxfordshire.. Manager/Coach - Liam Manning Departs | Page 133 | Yellows Forum
  4. I'm ok with the appointment, but just calling a spade a spade. Don't call others out for negativity from the start when that same person was negative from the very start when NP took over. It's hypocrisy.
  5. You've changed your tune given the fact you were on NP back from the moment he signed Danny Simpson.
  6. Good luck to him. Both, he and Nigel brought a professionalism to the club that had gone missing for the previous 4 years at the club. Downsy to leave next hopefully.
  7. He looks like Dean Holden a little bit.
  8. They hate Swindon and don't like the Gas much. I have always had a soft spot for them just because of that.
  9. Shame. The enemy of my enemy is my friend and all that looks like it's coming to an end because I dislike Swindon as much as Oxford fans.
  10. Exactly it. Give this Guy a chance. Proof will be in the pudding and will be based on what he will be able to spend. I personally think the reason Pearson wasn't given money after the Scott sale was because they knew they wanted a new Man to spend that money. Lets see what Manning can do. This is the Lansdown's decision so if it doesn't work out and we're relegation fodder in 3 or 4 months time then they will have a lot of humble pie to eat.
  11. Good luck to him. It's not his fault he's been offered the job and accepted it (if he has). I will reserve judgment until I see what happens on the pitch over the next season or two and how much budget he is given compared to the man he is taking over from.
  12. Watching us Saturday made me think we're just a team full of runners. There's very little guile about us which is why we don't score many goals. We'll run and run all day, we're all effort, not much quality though. Last season we at least had Alex Scott to sprinkle some quality, but without him?
  13. The worrying thing for me is I left Saturday's game thinking if that is what they expect to get promoted then they are in cuckoo land. Compare the quality of Friday night's game between Leicester and Leeds and it was chalk and cheese.
  14. Lets be honest playing a team with 10 Men and are bottom of the League at home we did the bare minimum. Got the win, but hardly spectacular. Not much guile and pretty toothless up front.
  15. Brilliant. Whatever happens in the future i'll remember Pearson's time as giving us a dose of having the club back in safe hands and sorting out the absolute crap left for him to deal with. It felt like we had a proper Manager for a change and not some young head coach that the chairman and owner could mould.
  16. I won't listen to it. It's just more nonsense and trying to spin things. Joe Sims oh dear, what a sellout.
  17. Liam Manning from Oxford I reckon it will be.
  18. Worrying talk of Ali Hinds. It would be a terrible choice and I would question whether i'd go to AG for a while.

That suggestion has freightened me because we know this is true

Clearly hasn't watched us much over the last 10 years. Only in 14/15, 17/18 and bits of last season have we been 'progressive'. What does 'progressive' even mean though? The club having a good PR, ticking climate and environment boxes? I don't really know what the term means and it's very vague. Is it having a young happy go lucky manager like Lee Johnson in charge?

They have no Manager lined up again do they? Shocking

Lost 2-0 at Cardiff and couldn't name a full bench because of the injuries. Knew we had two winnable games coming up and decided to get rid now because they knew they'd look even more silly if they did it over the next International break.
