  1. With a little comment about Steve Lansdown at 30:40
  2. Brings a tear to the eye almost, the script couldn't have been any better. Beckford hat trick
  3. It was yesterday wasn't it? Shame we missed it by a day... not. In hindsight, we played well that day with 10 men from 1st minute. Swindon did have a good side and were also on fire at the time and to only lose 1-0 was testament to how resilient we were under Cotterill. The 3-0 return fixture was much needed for years of absolute crap results and performances against Swindon. Do miss these kind of games, better than the 'derbies' vs Cardiff and Swansea imo.
  4. I saw the footage the other week and yeah seriously doesn't surprise me the guy who caused the incident was arrested. It didn't look like natural movement, to my eyes what he did with his feet but I don't really know Ice Hockey that well, but with the rumours about this particular player being known for being aggressive then it sounds about right.
  5. At 7:00 did I seriously see an image of Jonathan Kodjia and not Ade Akinbiyi
  6. I want to see City players play with some risk. We have had too many 'safe' players at the club for too long imo. It's why we don't score many goals. Ipswich played us off the park 1st half the other week as they have a team full of players who take risks, passing from the back, with pace and all with attacking intent. Naismith is one of the only players we have got capable of doing this.
  7. At least he tried to make a forward pass though instead of just constantly looking for the easy ball. We have too many players who just opt for the safe option too much.
  8. This team needs Naismith in the side one way or the other. He's one of the only players capable of passing the ball between the lines and potentially opening up a defence. I think Dickie has the ability to step out of defence. Vyner is the perfect foil for Dickie and Atkinson when he's back fit. Naismith good cover CB when needed, but ideally i'd have him in Midfield right now.
  9. Ticking San Siro off in two weeks time. For me one of the most iconic Football stadiums in the World. Sad to see it will be knocked down in a few years.
  10. I would love to know some stats chances created by City WITH Naismith in midfield compared to without Naismith in Midfield. I would be disappointed if LM cannot see the ability Naismith has
  11. Thanks for correcting me Sounds better!
  12. Pretty sure Swindon Town and Bristol Rovers were Southern League (Amateur Level) Until around 1922 when the League's merged with the 1st and 2nd Division. Southern League became the 3rd Division. Swindon and Rovers have always been historic rivals because of their similar league positions since the early 20th Century. Still historically third tier clubs (Despite Swindon's current position). City were one of the only Southern Professional clubs in the very early stages of the 20th century. We've underachieved.
  13. I swear games are better when it is p1ssing down with rain
  14. Mark is the voice of reason and his analysis on the matches usually align with what I've seen. I guess that's what makes the podcast successful, it sparks strong opinions among the fans.
  15. I will be worried if Naismith doesn't start or get game time in the next couple of games. We are so much more creative when he is in the team. Need him to play in Midfield. I really hope Manning sees this.
  16. Good luck to him. I do find it weird that lads who have supported England all their life, born and bred here suddenly play for another Country, especially a rival. I would also feel the same way if a Player selected England despite England not being their actual nationality. Sadly, it's more a career choice nowadays.
  17. I'll be giving OSIB a try in future. I don't want an echo chamber as I haven't always agreed with everything on FBC, but this last week has shown so much hypocrisy from the host and one of the insufferable guest's.
  18. Definitely the latter. Mark not so much, but the rest of the guests were critical of NP very early on and are now having a dig at other fans for not being supportive of LM. No understanding at all that the job NP took on was a total rebuild and having to tow the line with FFP. Also short memories of how awful we were when he took the job. Much worse than how he left it.
  19. I'm sorry I have been a long term fan of the podcast, but I have disagreed with a lot of the stances over the last week. Ok be positive but at least be consistent. Most of the guests on the pod were negative about NP from the moment he took over and now you're telling people not to overreact and support the new head coach.

    Big Dickie

Been a brilliant signing so far.
  21. I am on about the whole squad. Cornick has never been a prolific goalscorer at this level and Wells is getting on. Conway and Bell right now are simply not ready to be firing us to promotion. If you look at the history of sides who go up from this League it is the goalscorers who generally make all the difference. We fall way short of that. We could of signed Toney for 10 million 4 years ago but the Lansdowns don't understand that you have to spend big on a Striker if you want to achieve Promotion. I wish we had gone in for a Striker of that potential ilk after Scott was sold in the Summer. How we miss Semenyo too..
  22. He was, they're just not that good.
  23. The hypocrite was anti NP as soon as we signed Danny Simpson early doors and is now having a go at posters for 'not being supportive' towards Liam Manning as soon as he was confirmed as head coach.
  24. We don't have anything up front to go up. Not many teams get promoted from this league without a goalscorer who can score a minimum of 18 goals. I think inside the club the likes of BT rate the academy players higher than they actually are because Scott, Kelly and Semenyo were good players. We are pinning our hopes of Conway, Bell, Cornick and an old Wells to score our goals and to me it is one of the weakest attacks in the League. This is why we are nowhere near good enough to go up. After the Scott sale there should have been money spent in this direction if within the club they were serious about promotion.
