  1. Did this for Millwall away in August, and it was arguably easier than getting the train and far far cheaper.
  2. I feel the same way, but it was partly anger towards how we felt about what happened under NP's reign. In fairness, it's not LM fault what happened and he deserves to be given a fair crack like NP was. If he can prove us wrong and that NP wasn't the right man to take us forward then I will be the first to happily admit I was wrong. I won't be wrong about NP laying the foundations though and stabilising the club in the past 2.5 years though and I have stated on this forum many months ago that we may not reap the rewards of NPs reign until after he leaves... Anyway, Liam Manning and Chris Hogg deserve this win tonight, it's been a brilliant 10 days for them.
  3. Williams for me. Absolutely class today.
  4. Anyone else think today Joe Williams was absolutely fantastic. My MOTM today although there were plenty of contenders. Fair play to Liam. These last 2 games I think we've looked very good.
  5. I will eat some humble pie after the rest of my turkey tonight. Probably best i've seen us play for a couple of years.
  6. Ballsy that from Manning to drop James and I respect it. I rate James and think he's been a good player for us, but I am sensing this is the beginning of the end of him with his career at City. Good to see Knight as captain. I worry if Vyner was given captaincy, we'd see a downturn in form akin to Liam Fontaine. Some are just not happy with the pressure
  7. That is terrible, and freightening. I am very sorry to hear of your loss. RIP.
  8. He's a local man, from Melksham. Worked for the Fire service at Trowbridge. Pretty sure he played youth games at Bath City, in the reserves maybe. Good to see a local guy from a small town do well.
  9. Farke is a very good coach. Good business by Leeds getting him in.
  10. Can't stand the bloke. Arrogant **** who can't stand us.
  11. He can't play up front on his own very well at all. It's a swear word to slag Conway off on here though but he hasn't shown me he's good enough the last 2 months.
  12. Very pleased with that tonight. Thought we played well, and just about deserved the win. Fair play.
  13. I agree. I said the players we have aren't the best at being a possession based side but i'll give credit to LM as tonight we were impressive, and the subs spot on. Wells gives the wide men so much more space by putting himself about far better than Conway does.
  14. I'm not saying that fans should have a choice on who the Manager is. It's more the fact JL appears very dismissive towards any fan opinion that opposes his own view. I just think the bloke is arrogant and Tinnion is delusional.
  15. Translated: We don't really care much about what the fans think, it's our club and therefore we decide who is in charge, not you fans. To hell with those supporters who disagree with the decisions we make.
  16. Hopefully fans revert to going to local non league teams eventually where the club's value their support. Sky Sports have got a whole generation or two brainwashed into thinking Football is just the Premier League and Champions League.
  17. They were, but largely owned by lifelong supporters, local businessmen. Last line? Because of the proposal to have a World Cup in 6 different countries, more teams qualifying, a 32 team Club World Cup. It's an attempt to globalise Football across the world, but at a detriment to the hardcore supporters and on the player's welfare. Too much Football imo. They expect the players to be like robots and the game has been turning very robotic.
  18. The uproar from Premier League fans is quite comical. They have supported owners from USA, Russia and Middle East come into the League. These owners never had the best interest of the fans or the League in their heart, but they are happy to take the trophies and success. These fans don't understand Football, they look down upon the EFL and non league system. The Prem would be nothing without the English league pyramid. Non League attendances are on the rise, as are EFL attendances. It's about time fans stopped their sky sports subscriptions, got out of their homes and started supporting clubs who value their support and custom. To hell with the Premier League and the greed that comes with it. No wonder Real Madrid and Barcelona are seeking avenues to try and level the playing field with the obscene amount of money Premier League clubs spend. As for a World League? That can do one. They want Footballers to become robots. Passing accuracy of 99% eventually so there will be no faults. Absolutely terrible, much like globalisation is anyway.
  19. Signed Adebola then we started playing long ball football after then. Signed a lot of average players on long contracts who couldn't get shifted off the wage bill really. If we had a good replacement after GJ then who knows, but we all know what happened.
  20. Tidied up the mess he inherited off the pitch, but on the pitch factually we were still average and I liked NP you know that. Not a failure, but not exactly a resounding success either.
  21. Johnson & Son. Both were given too much money in the end which f***** us in the long run. Sorry but it's true about Gary.
  22. We're a small club that plays in a big City. Our history is very very modest, at best. We should expect better. Unfortunately, we've missed the boat on appointing the right Manager's, many nearly moments and an ownership that isn't ruthless enough to see us get to the top.
