  1. I think it's pretty poor, really.
  2. Part of me feels sorry for BT, because I think the Lansdowns have used him as a pawn so when things go wrong, like with Johnson and Ashton he'll get the blame. Don't get me wrong, I think BT has been very snakey in how he acted around NP being sacked, but I think it's worth noting that Lansdowns have a history of using someone else as their excuse.
  3. It's about time our fans vocally voiced their anger towards the hierarchy of this club.
  4. I don't watch any of his interviews. The whole appointment has depressed me greatly towards the club and seeing him talking still angers me. SL, JL, BT out.
  5. Encouraged? Encouraged by what? 5 points from 5 games. The previous manager would have been criticised heavily for that run by many on OTIB and on various different City podcasts. I feel bad for Liam as it isn't his fault, but the bad blood won't go for quite a while with what happened in October and he's taking on a job that imo is too big for him right now I fear. Any runs of losses and there will be scrutiny on him intensely because of how the owners have acted/behaved, couple that with the club purposefully being antagonistic on Social Media doesn't help matters. In terms of the Football I've seen i'm not encouraged. It doesn't seem like we are creating any more chances than we had prior to him taking over and to me we don't have a good enough team at the moment to play a possession game. We were set up perfectly for counter attacking Football at a pace. Our best performance of this was at Swansea. I actually feel sorry for Knight in Midfield. He's a good player but the players around him don't have the guile in forward areas to create the movement for him to play to his strengths. One thing I will say is some of LM's team selections have been very disappointing for me. Starting Weimann, dropping TGH, not giving Naismith much of a chance when he was fit. Continuously playing Bell. Our owners have overestimated how good this team actually is and Nige had us punching above our weight. Liam has a big job on his hands unfortunately and to me it hasn't been the most inspiring, even when he took the job.
  6. Short memories football fans have because everything you state is exactly how I remember it. We were hopeless. Also had a lot of experienced players out of contract in the summer of 2021 who all just gave up (yes including the man they love who apparently lived in Knowle). These players were a disgrace. It was a culmination of bad injuries, a shocking contract situation and about 4 absolutely shocking transfer windows leading up to 2020/21 that led us being absolutely awful. Short memories indeed some of our fans have. Nigel sorted this superbly and got no thanks.
  7. Those months from November 2020 - Feb 2021 Were among the worst performances i've ever seen from City sides. Somehow we won the first four games due to luck and Bentley being on fire. The fact Bentley got player of the season that season says a lot in itself. We could barely get out the opposition half most games, and had a spell of 1 shot on target in 5 matches at one point. We were going down.
  8. I will be envious of them if they appoint him. He'll do a steady job, galvanise the club behind the scenes, bring the majority of the fanbase back on side and make them harder to beat
  9. Manning is like an AI version of modern day football coaches. Bores the crap out of me I can't lie and I don't listen to any of his interviews. I do worry whether he is very good at man management which NP was imo excellent at.
  10. Ah don't talk badly about one of our 'Star Boys' like that. In seriousness, we overrate our academy kids due to the success of Scott and Kelly. Arguably Scott wasn't produced by ourselves. Bell isn't good enough for this level.
  11. Did anyone else see the modern slow passing possession based football from Luton and Arsenal last night? No, I didn't.
  12. Sold for 300k, check the profit on that. Cost as much as a Tillson In seriousness, the way Tinman was bragging about that was seriously clutching at straws. To me the feeling inside the club is its very pleased with itself. I really liked how NP used to call the HPC the 'Training Ground'.
  13. 100%. I'm angry with the fans that are blindly ignoring the fact that the board at the club are absolutely useless and are blaming NP continuously for the problems at this club. There have been problems for YEARS. NP was clearing the mess he found us in from LJ/DH/MA reign of overspending on absolute dross and STILL our stupid fans cannot see that the job he was doing was having us punching above our weight. If we go into a relegation battle this season these short sighted fans who wanted NP out are just as culpable as the board with the decision to get rid of Nigel.
  14. Probably considered a 'Dinosaur' to many nowadays just because of his age. His sides have always played good, attacking Football and i'd have had him at City over LM.
  15. I'm not sure I can see much of any improvement. Feels very much the same as when NP was in charge. Some good moments in games, and some really bad ones. The side is inconsistent. So far our best performance this season was under NP, at Swansea. We were brilliant that day, and our worst was probably Coventry at home, where we ironically got the 3 points. I just am not seeing a difference in performance than before, just the same inconsistency. I'll make no bones about it now, I didn't want NP gone, and I think the decision to sack him is up there with the poor decision to appoint Holden, but i'm happy to be proven wrong.
  16. Pep's Man City side when chasing a game 'go for it'. They don't slowly pass the ball around, they overload the wings with Doku, Foden, Grealish, Silva and attempt to get the ball into a dangerous area for Haaland or Alvarez as soon as they can. They're fast and incisive and a lot of teams cannot cope with their speed/intensity, hence why they score an awful lot of goals. It's only when they are 2 or 3-0 up they start killing the game off by passing it slowly and keeping possession. They don't play like this at 0-0. Liverpool are the same - high intensity, so are Arsenal, so are Spurs currently and so are Chelsea. These sides are actually quite direct, particularly Liverpool, but it's exciting to watch. Being direct does not make you a long ball side like Wimbledon or Bristol Rovers from the 1980s with massive strikers to score from long throw ins by the way.
  17. I watched the PL games yesterday and realised no one really plays slow possession based football and are successful nowadays. Man City don't. They only do this when they're 2 or 3-0 up. Everything is fast, the passing is between the lines, or into an area of potential danger and playing at a low intensity is not what I see. I don't view slow, possession based football as particularly modern. Maybe 10 years ago when Barcelona's tiki taka was at its peak and Swansea had some success playing this way. We have to get in players who play with a higher intensity and are comfortable in bringing the ball forward and passing between the lines. Passing between midfield and defence slowly is not in any way 'modern and progressive'.
  18. From what I can see on Tinnions Twitter account with the replies and responses to tweets there have been no such thing as abuse, criticism yes, but no abuse. I see it as the club refusing to be held accountable for the bad decisions they make so they are just shying away from it. What a snake.
