  1. Depends on when you were growing up really. We're not a 'big' club. We're a club from a big City, but that's where the 'big' ends. We have a very average history, i'm sorry to say it. I also don't think you can measure a big club on major honours nowadays because if you are not Man City, Man Utd, Liverpool, Newcastle, Spurs, Arsenal or Chelsea the chances are it is very unlikely you'd win a major trophy. Leicester are the exception to that rule, I know, but Football was different 30+ years ago and you would have the likes of Wimbledon and Coventry winning the FA Cup and Oxford, Swindon, Norwich winning the League Cup.

    Absolute atmosphere killer this anthem.

Crazy to think it wasn't long ago they had a front 3 of Shaqiri, Arnautovic and Bojan. Seems to have been a total mismanagement at Stoke for quite some years.

They'll beat us Saturday with that ****house Alex Neil in charge.
  5. We have shown them way too much respect. Wasted opportunities.
  6. Best off not mentioning it. I've banged my head up against the wall defending Pearson's time here on this forum and to friends who are not City fans. Some have their own agenda against the Man since we signed Danny Simpson and some are fans who just see 'results only' and never look further than the bigger picture. The club was a shambles on and off the pitch when he took over. If it wasn't for the work of Pearson, his coaching staff, Tinnion and Gould then we wouldn't be a steady ship right now. It is time for the ownership to also get on board with what is going on.
  7. I've had the same. I think it's a case that they don't really understand the comings and goings of BCFC over the last 30 years so they're a little bit tunnel visioned as to what is happening. They see the results only and not looking any further than the bigger picture. It's either that or they are purposefully being obtuse about it.
  8. NP signing a new contract will give the club, the fans, the players and the support of the ownership a massive boost. It needs to happen.
  9. He is a legend that's why they really love him. We're lucky to have him.
  10. He is definitely a nice bloke, but his style of punditry isn't my cup of tea. Each to their own.
  11. Parkin was a handful as a player. Good at Swindon and a bit of a cult hero there, he knows his stuff when it comes to EFL.
  12. Seems to have a great attitude and has shown experience beyond his years from the games played. Looks promising.
  13. League 1 sides cannot keep up the intensity of the press as much as Championship teams can. Totally naive from their Manager to make 7 changes and still try play out from the back against us. Never mind though ?
  14. Now I can finally get into OTIB I'll post my reflection on the game. It looked like a Championship side vs League 1. I will echo the sentiments in that they did remind me of us from 2015/16. I said this multiple times last night. We pressed superbly, and took our chances brilliantly. It's great to see we put them to the sword pretty quickly and efficently as Plymouth were poor. When we play at our best we are a very good and dangerous side.
  15. The Garabaldians - first i've heard that one haha
  16. It's a bigger game for Plymouth than it is for us. They only have Exeter in close proximity whereas we have Rovers, Cardiff, Swindon, Swansea all much closer and them matches are much more meaningful than Plymouth will be. The only time they have recently become very relevant to us in my time supporting City was in 2004 - late noughties imo when they got promoted to the Championship. I am glad they are back up here anyway as they create an atmosphere and they have a character to their club. I still prefer Exeter & Torquay though.
  17. I think Sky Sports turn down the crowd volume for the TV viewers. It is awful
  18. Absolutely useless yesterday and it did slow down the flow of the game and our momentum in 1st half.
  19. This feels very similar to what happened after 2015/16 transfer window. Was it John Pelling who got thrown under the bus first?

Can anyone remember seeing Bellingham destroy us on the left wing in 2020 just before Covid lockdowns? I think Birmingham won 3-1 but I remember leaving the game thinking wow this lad is only 17. Literally has the world at his feet.

Must admit I quite liked Dunk and Guehi at the back together. We are very lucky to have Bellingham, Foden, Saka and Rice all under the age of 25. Bellingham will be the best player in the World one day.
  22. No surprise he's playing well, he's a very good footballer.
  23. He will probably be quite good for Fleetwood. I don't like the bloke at all, but he was good at Oldham. Kind of Manager who suits a smaller club in my opinion.
