  1. No, difference is Atyeo played 6 games for England and was being touted for transfers to Juventus, AC Milan and Liverpool. It was a totally different Sport in the 1950s and 60s. Players were loyal to their clubs, Atyeo was far too good for that level. Thorpe wasn't.
  2. Are QPR and Watford arch rivals? Bright blue does not belong on any City shirt or training gear and the club know this
  3. Surely some of them must see Blue in our training kit and be a bit confused as to why. Anyone in Football knows our club colours are Red and White and our biggest Rivals are blue. It's bizarre that some of our fans have no problem with us playing in bright blue for a training kit.
  4. It is boring but that's the way it is, the majority prefer the usual kits - Red, white shorts, red or white socks. That IS Bristol City. Not these stupid comeback kits they keep doing, and I include the nostalgic purple and lime in that too. Keep one badge for the entire club on the training gear and the official kits. I think we're trying to create an identity of our own but imo it's completely failing.
  5. In truth, our kits started taking a wrong turn as soon as we got rid of our old badge in 2019. The training kits are pathetic, the new 'robin' they have introduced is as tinpot as i've ever seen and the blue training kit is the cherry on the cake. It's nothing but an attempt by the club to get fans to buy more new merchandise, but it's being done on the cheap by them and the quality being put out is way below standard. Why can't this club just keep things simple with one badge throughout (like Preston have done). Get rid of these pinstripes. I know it's a nod to 89/90, but we already did that in 2017/18 and that was a decent kit. Just keep it Red shirts, white shorts, red/white socks and most fans are happy.
  6. Not impressed that both Southampton games are midweek. Shame that
  7. In answer to the topic title - No. They could make international Football much better though. Get rid of Uefa Nations League and reduce the 24 team Euros back down to 16. It would mean the stakes are higher in Qualifying matches.
  8. That Southampton shirt is horrific
  9. At least O'Neil leaves with his stock quite high. Arguably manager of the season.
  10. That is an incredible feat for a 70 year old man. Hazard a guess 80% of 20 year olds could not complete that.

Signing of the Summer. Drury is by far the best out there. Finally Sky make a good decision for once.
  12. Fair play. Steve Clarke has done very well with that side. Prefer them to Wales, always have

I find it hilarious that the Police go after the guys who sell illegal firesticks for streaming yet the law ignores the fact Sky and BT have been f****** sports fans for years now. The cost to subscribe has gone up and the content quality has plummeted at the same time. Hopefully the little guys win and Sky sports end up losing more rights.

Was good in his day and should have retired after the Aguero moment. Been poor ever since. Always thought he was biased towards Man Utd especially under Ferguson. Hopefully the main commentator is not Seb Hutchinson ?
  16. The only reason rival fans call it the Emptyhad is jealousy, same with the 115 charges. They have nothing else to mock Man City with because they're so far ahead of the rest right now. I like them, always have. Fans are proper and absolutely sound the ones i've ever come across, no arrogance at all unlike the glory supporters up and down the Country who support Man U, Liverpool and Arsenal. I don't necessarily agree with the massive amount of wealth being brought to the Premier League but i'd much rather a Man City or Newcastle getting a share of some success than the usual suspects.
  17. A very good documentary. Emotional when he remembered Paul McGrath. An underrated Manager and an underrated footballer the pair of them.
  18. Agree. I think we've gone past the point of the height of post Italia 90 success. Maybe it is nostalgia but during the 1990s until the mid 2010s I truly believe the Sport hit a peak. The new corporate proposals surrounding the Super League, Champions League and 48 team World Cup will be the turning point for many.
  19. Italia 90 is such an enigma. It was equally beautiful as it was boring. It was nostalgic and also forgetful at the same time. It's the most important World Cup of the modern era.. It really kick started Football being back in popular culture in UK after 2 decades of being related to violence. -Back pass rule came in force after this Competition in 1992. -3 Points for a win introduced in World Cups after 1990. -English sides allowed to re enter European Competition due to good behaviour after the Tournament. -English Division 1 modernised into the 'Premier League'. European Cup modernised into 'Champions League' just two years later. You cannot say these haven't been major global successes. Football became glamorous again after this World Cup to wider audiences and you cannot say that the changes made since that World Cup have not been a success. It is easily the most important World Cup in modern History.
  20. Peter Beadle mentioned in a major European final ?
