  1. Well, to be fair they did have a season in the Prem and did win 'promotion' to Div 1 in 1990 only to be relegated by the FA. I'd say they have done nothing of note since the 1990s. They are as close to us as they are Chippenham Town.
  2. They are still stuck in the 90s in terms of where they see themselves in the Football world.
  3. Just showing your ignorance there.
  4. Yeah agree. Should really be apologising for how boring he is... Unless it's Man United of course. Is that because the commentator was a woman?
  5. I didn't realise that Sam Allardyce was Arsene Wenger, Sir Alex Ferguson or Pep Guardiola but ok
  6. Didn't Bielsa win Leeds the Championship with 93 points with his gung-ho football and in his first season in the Prem have them finishing 10th by playing this way? Fair enough you like a more pragmatic approach to Football that's up to you, but I'd be bored shitless if the whole aim whilst being in the Prem was just to simply survive every season which is what most of the bottom half are doing right now. You forget that Bielsa was a mentor to Pep Guardiola during the 2000's in Mexico and is a highly respected coach across Europe and South America. I have nothing against Allardyce because like has been said he has been a pioneer for his tactical insight and methods, but his style aint for me.
  7. The man is very intense and the style his sides play are super intense. This cannot be sustained for a long period, which is why he wont be at club's for a long time. However, his entertaining style of play is great to watch from a neutral POV and Leeds fans were very lucky to have him until the final season. They can't say they were not enjoying the ride under Bielsa. One day I hope English football becomes more Latin in the way we approach football rather than playing for the percentages and set pieces.
  8. He's the best out of the 'dinosaurs' that are left remaining. I just find it sad that sides are so scared to get relegated to the EFL that they go for a win at all costs approach rather than sticking to their more progressive style of play, which for clubs like Brighton and Fulham it has worked.
  9. Really? I suppose if you prefer a pragmatic style and view Football solely as a Results game then fair enough but Bielsa kept Leeds up in his first season quite comfortably. For me the football the likes of Bielsa and Pep try and play is the football I want to see played every week. The likes of Pulis, Allardyce, Moyes and Warnock will thankfully be relics of the past in the next couple of decades.

    Any excuse?

Must admit I find it a bit strange that a few adults would stand there waiting for an autograph from a Footballer. Understandable if it's for the children
  11. His biggest flaw is he wasn't the most media savvy and I got the feeling he was growing frustrated with the modern game. SOD was an excellent manager for Bournemouth and Doncaster. Had he been upbeat with media I think fans would have got behind him more. He actually often spoke more sense than most Manager's we have had in his interviews and press conferences but because he was quite introverted and came across as Grumpy fans wouldn't listen to him. As others have said about Pearson, his biggest challenge has been changing the mindset of our fanbase.
  12. SOD got way too much stick for his time here. We were an absolute shambles when he took over and a sinking ship that needed stabilising. Fans forget he brought in Fielding, JET, Pack, Flint, Williams and gave Reid and Bryan game time at the start of League 1 campaign in 13/14. He absolutely laid foundations down for that squad and there is no doubt some of the players who played under him would admit that too.
  13. Some of our fans need a word with themselves. Same as the Guy behind me just giving Cornick abuse all game, absolute helmets. Scott clearly knows he is off and why would he risk getting injured in a dead rubber game for us when I think the move he is going to have will likely change his life. He's a 19 year old kid and is going to make our club many millions. Good for him
  14. I support the club's seeking a new broadcaster to he honest. The EFL coverage in general is below par, BT offer better insight into National League games.
  15. Manager of the season as it stands in my opinion. Not only has he done a brilliant job, but he conducts himself very well. Obviously learned from boy wonder himself LJ ?
  16. It was a really weak League this season. Sheffield Utd as you say pretty poor for a side promoted. I must admit every time I watch Luton play I think how the hell are these 3rd? The quality has gone downhill massively in recent season.
  17. Their fans are saying they're the best team League 1 has ever seen. They aren't even top ?
  18. Well done Joe. You have rattled the biggest hypocrite in Sport this weekend so that's top work
  19. Brilliant and deserved for Scott. Sadly ruined by the behaviour on social media of Sunderland fans, very entitled. Lost respect for their fans a bit.
  20. Hmmm mixed reviews on him and I'm not sure the standard in Scotland is much to go by. I still have bad memories of the numerous Scottish signings in the early 2010s turning out to be awful. Guess we'd have to wait and see
  21. Could any of you local's recommend a list of restaurants in Bristol that would be worth looking at for a couple of weekend's time?
  22. Just get rid of Downsy and employ someone who is a long time City fan and Football fan, not a kid's entertainer
  23. Hopefully Notts County win Promotion in the Playoffs. A side who play really good football for the level and have the League's top goalscorer too, yes more than Mullin. Sod Wrexham
  24. Yes it is. A total nonsense that is being used to divide those at the bottom.
  25. You only have to go through his Twitter feed to see what an utterly miserable Human being he/she/whatever is
