Coming from Wilts, I still see Swindon as bigger rivals than Cardiff towards City as I don't know any Cardiff fans. I think on the pitch though there is no question that in the last 20 years Cardiff have been our biggest rival.

Had this in the gym last week. Was in a good mood and instantly saw that horrible quartered shirt and wanted to puke.
  3. It has felt this way ever since the redevelopment. Downsy does too much talking on the mic too, let the atmosphere build naturally from the fans in the stands. To be honest his entire tone comes across as patronising and 'look at me'
  4. To be fair most of their fans with common sense know they are a million miles off from where City are on and off the pitch. And by 'most' I mean all four of their half a dozen fans.
  5. I'm worried JL and SL are still obsessed with the old LJ era, being all chummy with the boss'
  6. If I'm honest, I don't think Man City's support has anywhere near taken off compared to what happened when Abramovich took over Chelsea. I very rarely see a Man City shirt around where I live. As stated above, attendances have on average increased over the past few decades. City's has gone up and down a lot from relegation to promotion back to the League we're in. Man City have had ups and downs too, so naturally it will fluctuate.
  7. Whether people like this fact or not, the dwindling stadium attendances and crowd trouble was the main reason the Premier League was formed and Sky took their chance on it. Football in England had to change to appeal to a wider audience, because in the 1980s it was a mess. Sorry if this hurts anyone's nostalgia by the way
  8. But you could also say that 30 years ago BCFC were averaging 9k in home matches. Maybe attendances on average have increased during the last 30 years in general?
  9. Bring back Tim Shires. Imagine having a stadium announcer who doesn't know the player's names from the best team in the Country. Imagine shouting Ashton Gate make some noise - it's not a pop concert you helmet.

Yep. It's been awful since the Lansdown stand was built. I wonder if it can potentially be moved elsewhere, and how it would look if moved to the Dolman, would be a real change, lower and a good view of the Lansdown from tv.
  11. Actually think their fans are a sound bunch, still have a massive core fanbase from back in their League 1 days in the late 90s. Can't help but feel sorry for them for the sheer misery of having Man Utd as your neighbours during the 90s and 00s.
  12. Numerous occasions he outmuscled the Man City players. The lad's an absolute unit (In a good way). I actually thought he kept Mahrez fairly quiet compared to Foden down the other flank.
  13. Kalas for me looked like the one player in our side who is a lot more used to playing against players of Man City's calibre. Had a great game last night.
  14. I rate Williams by the way, just thought he wasn't at his best last night. All about opinions, just because some think he had a poor game doesn't mean they've made their minds up. We missed Naismith last night
  15. Would not be surprised if there is some interest in Cam Pring.
  16. We missed Naismith massively last night. There were times we had the ball and an opportunity to break and we kept just giving the ball away cheaply, or our touches ran away from us. Naismith is the one player in midfield comfortable on the ball and is good at making the passes between the lines of midfield and defence. Williams wasn't at it last night in my opinion, but James had an ok game - tried his best to break up the play against a very good midfield.
  17. Noticed loads around me last night that I'd never seen before, all acting very reactionary towards the team. Day tripping ******

Incredible player. Best player i've ever seen play against us live. He ruined us in the League Cup in 2018 and made it look easy in the 2nd half tonight.
  19. Embarassing. Get someone on there who actually likes Football
  20. Was sat behind it. Definitely hit his hand and was in the box. Penalty.
  21. Definitely a pen from where I was in thr South Stand. Sweet justice after the opening day sickener when the Ref decided Hull were to win the game
  22. I was a big critic of his because of the amount of unforced errors he would make but fair play, he has been our player of the season. A settled back 4 has also helped us at the back massively
