  1. Definitely mutual mate, from my end and among other City fans I know in the area. There are certainly less of them about now though, thankfully. We're their main rival to a lot of their fans.
  2. I'm sure their fans would absolutely love that ? Some of their fans dislike us as much as the Gas do.
  3. Not in the squad tonight. On the roof at AG instead?
  4. Agree. His sides have always tried to play good football
  5. Thankfully his football at the top flight level retired a long time before he did. West Brom being the last notable team to play that horrible thuggish style of play he adopted. A true bore and won't be missed by me. Still cannot believe he was appointed manager here
  6. Their fans have always stuck with the side since their fall to the third tier in the 90s. The only reason the other 'big 6' fans mock their fanbase is because they have nothing else to currently mock them with as Man City have been the dominant force of English football over the past 10 years. Have always had a soft spot for them. Imagine Man Utd being your main rival and them winning multiple trophies year after year whilst your club was just struggling to stay afloat in the 2nd tier ? It doesn't surprise me that their fans are so humble. For some reason Man City also haven't had the same glory hunting boom that Chelsea got post 2003.
  7. I'd imagine season ticket holders a priority here?
  8. They've just lost 5-1 to Morecambe yet a moron @Deluded Sagcame on here last week telling us all why Devon White was so good, how they beat us a few times in the 1990s (30 Years ago!!) and why no one likes City ? They have absolutely no shame at all it's astonishing
  9. Been good all season, really missed him when he was injured. He was a great signing
  10. On my way to Old Trafford as offered free tickets today with some friends. Absolutely brilliant City and buzzing for Sam Bell
  11. Maybe because Luton are quite good currently?
  12. I just think £9 million plus add ons for a player who has never consistently hit the ground running here for a long spell and is injury prone is quite good money... Providing we have replacements lined up. If Semenyo improves his finishing he could be worth about 6 times 9 million by the way, the add ons may mean we have a sell on clause.
  13. Disappointed he has gone to Bournemouth and not Palace but I think it's good money for us.
  14. I wish him nothing but success at Wolves. Not long ago he was player of the season here and produced some brilliant performances. A character in the dressing room and was always honest in his interviews. He'll be a good backup for Wolves.
  15. From Oxford's POV though it got them promotion and made a pretty healthy profit from the signings he made during his time there on Roofe and Lundstram. I don't like Mark Ashton, but from an Oxford perspective he did a decent job and now they are a steady League 1 club.
  16. They made a lot of money in 2016 off of Jonathan Kodjia which enabled the club to make some transfers. I'm glad we had John Pemberton as assistant during that period for about a year after Johnson took over, he was the experience head the club needed during that time.
  17. Looks like during his spell of 3 transfer windows from July 2014 until January 2016 he signed 18 players and 14 of them were free transfers. I'll give him some credit, it does look like he did well at Oxford, they won promotion to League 1 in 2015/16. Roofe, Sercombe, Lundstram all pretty good signings at League 2 level whilst already having O'Dowda and George Baldock on their books.
  18. Of course it wasn't. However, if you look at Ipswich as well they have signed a ridiculous amount of players since Ashton came in. In other words Lee Johnson and Mark Ashton were a match made in hell for our club.
  19. Still think he should be Number 1 here, wasn't long ago he was player of the season
  20. 4 points above 7th with 5 games to go and finished 8th. Even SL was quoted as saying around December that season he expected us to be in the playoffs. I think LJ's real downfall though was the summer transfer window of 2019 which was really a bit of a disaster.
