  1. It's funny how the Ipswich fans think he's the dogs bollox right now. I'm sure there was similar feelings towards him from quite a few City fans around 2017 ish, be interesting how he is viewed by them in around 5 years time. It's a gamble they're taking right now, if it's pulled off he will be a legend in their eyes and if it doesn't get pulled off he will go down the same route as he was here.
  2. James Richardson. Consistently the best Football presenter since the Football Italia days. Good for a one liner. BBC would never want him though, I won't explain the reasons why but it's obvious.
  3. Remember when we would only sign players with the 'Right DNA'. Part of the reason we've been such a pushover for years. No bad boys allowed, only yes men
  4. I wonder if someone can come up with a compilation of clips from waved away Penalties since Coventry away last season? Become a farce now really.
  5. Some of our players have looked way off Championship standard in this game. (Tanner, Atkinson, Pring, Conway, O'Leary).
  6. My point wasn't alluding to a side like Leeds though. It was about 'Getting it forward' merchants from the back which is basically them saying hoof it up the pitch. Basically Stoke under Pulis. Leeds are nothing like that
  7. It's on the floor though mostly and I wouldnt class them a 'long ball team'
  8. Most football fans are stuck in the 1990s when it comes to tactics. Getting it forward at all costs is now a bygone era. You barely see any teams play that way anymore, even in League 2. Football has evolved from this dinosaur style tactics for the betterment of the game.
  9. These days i'm finding Swansea more annoying than Cardiff fans
  10. Individuals yet again. The usual suspects will blame NP for Atkinson's **** up there as per usual. Maybe errors like this was the reason he was dropped.
  11. Swansea fans singing England's coming home is very ironic. Short memories I assume?
  12. Rest in Peace Football Italia legend
  13. LJ did do well though in 18/19 up until March when he did his special of bottling when it really mattered. 4 Points clear of 7th with 4 games to go and somehow we ended up 8th. Too worried about the opposition all the time
  14. He also stumbled across Reid being an adequate Striker. We had no forwards in pre season before Diedhiou signed that were fully fit so he tried Reid up front with Hinds in pre season and it worked well. It wasn't no tactical masterclass by him. Too many hung up on 4 months of good football in 2017/18. There were home performances under LJ in his final 3 years that were much worse than we've been served up recently. LJ was too interested in winning tactical battles against other Managers, the success in 17/18 went to his head a bit and thought he was some sort of genius, the next Eddie Howe of English football management. He was anything but. An extremely cautious manager from 2018 onwards and we bottled the playoffs massively in 18/19. We should have made them with the squad we had. He should have gone after that, he'd lost his way.
  15. In 2009-10 we lost 3 home games - Cardiff 0-6, Doncaster 2-5, Sheffield Utd 2-3. Considering we were mainly up against bigger clubs with better facilities than us back then, that's a pretty strong home record for City barring those couple of hammerings mentioned there.
  16. Smith was absolutely incredible in that Final
  17. The guy is worse than Blatter and Platini and that is saying something. He's an absolute tool Apparently there was a contract made with TV companies that they had to show him on camera at a certain point in every game he attended.
  18. Our home form has been below par since around 2010. Used to be a bit of a fortress before then, aside from 2014/15. I miss going to home games and thinking how much we would win by today, and it being opposite for away games.
