  1. Just thought our fluidity up front with Weimann constantly cutting inside or running into traffic/passing backwards slowed us down massively tonight. Sykes by comparison is much more direct and that suits us more. Away from home Weimann might be a good option but at home against sides sitting behind the ball he isn't a starter for me in the attacking areas at the moment.
  2. Some tosser from Winterstoke Road entrance shouting at people Saturday and Today to show their tickets. Get a proper job mate, we wouldn't be walking to the Ground for no reason. Jobsworths everywhere
  3. Wigan were hard. Would be difficult opponents for any team in this League with their display. Physical, battled well and defended well so credit where it's due. They'll stay up if they play like that most weeks. Today though I thought we were slow and lethargic. Never got going really. Maybe Saturday's game took it out of us a bit. However learned a few things tonight. Weimann is not a starter in a 433 in my eyes, as he disrupts our fluidity going forwards. He is far better in a counter attacking side. We missed Naismith's forward passes and creativity in the centre of Midfield. Cornick is not a CF and playing long balls up to him doesn't work and isn't his style of play. Mehmeti is a baller. We've learned a lot and hopefully Nigel has.

Still annoys me too. We'd just beaten Brighton away to stop them from winning the League and were now safe from relegation. In hindsight this was probably the whole reason Birmingham stayed up as our Management and Players decided to be on the beach after the Brighton match. Really poor from us and it was such a half hearted performance.

In freefall like City were in 2020/21. May just have enough points on the board already
  6. The good news: Cardiff more likely to be relegated with this appointment.
  7. Mr 'All about results' Couldn't be any more boring. Would be happy to have the likes of Pulisball down AG as long as we were winning. Stuck in the 80s. Thank god this club doesn't tolerate 'win at all costs' type managers.
  8. Bullies. Needed more heavy handed security staff to come over and help out. Steward was just doing his job, don't run on the pitch begging for a shirt, simple as that.
  9. Absolutely spot on. Can only think of a few 'bad' performances this season. Reading A, Birmingham A, WBA H. Said it even in December, the side haven't been far away all season!
  10. Oh you're not that terrible boss of Southampton Football Club are you? I oddly think he is trying to come across a bit like Holloway but getting it totally wrong. Sadly I think Holloway's strong Bristolian accent helps him getaway with the stupid statements he comes out with
  11. Fancy a 30 odd year old bloke turning around and smacking some 19 year old lad. Real brave
  12. Some of the long term contracts we handed out around 2008 - 2010 held this Club back years.
  13. Oh so he can be a little abrupt and blunt at times, get over it. Ask better questions. The media and Football fans are not entitled to happy go larry responses all the time.
  14. If this happens I can see Huddersfield getting relegated.
  15. It's the disneyland of Football. Super star players earning super star wages with little care about the club's they play for or the core of the club (The fans). Ask 30 of Nottingham Forest new signings who their legendary manager was in the 70s and 80s and I guarantee you over half of them would not know. The Prem lost its soul around 10 years ago, just after Man City started splashing their cash about, bringing in players who have little care for the local area or little to no knowledge on the club they represent. We're the legacy fans remember? Just a pawn in the product. We're nothing to them. The owners, sky sports, BT Sport, millionaire ex footballers know nothing on what the football actually means to people in this Country. Sometimes it's not all about being the best side or being in the highest level. Sometimes it is as if the EFL never exists and simply being relegated to the Championship is some kind of 'disaster', which it's not. Those who run the game in England really do not understand the fans.
  16. Sky Sports rubbing their hands together. It's not a 'closed shop' anymore so it's all ok we can make our billions from tv rights. 'Not a closed shop anymore' so it's all ok. Don't be fooled by the tv companies - they want this to happen. £££
  17. 2023 Comedy is generally filled with political statements and agenda's being pushed, I can't think of a single comedian or comedy show that is put on right now that will resemble me even cracking a laugh out of, it's bland, it's boring and all very safe. The last good comedy series in the UK was This Country. Thank god I was born to see Top Gear with Hammond, Clarkson and May, The Office (UK), Little Britain, The Inbetweeners, I'm Alan Partridge and Peep Show all come out in a period when comedy was not politically driven and not taken over by very average comedians that suit the image the BBC, Channel 4 and Channel 5 are looking to put on their screens.
  18. Yep. I just look at Forest and think 'how sad' signing 30 PLAYERS in their first season back in the Prem since 1999. Is that really what us City fans would want? I don't think so. I can take it or leave it to be honest, it aint all that. The journey to get there is better than the destination itself
  19. When will Football fans realise the actual Super League is our Premier League? When a side can be relegated and get more money than the side who finishes 3rd in La Liga that says it all. It's all about money - Real Madrid, Juventus, Barcelona want a slice of what we have. I don't even like what we have really, I think part of me feels the Prem has lost its soul a long time ago and for this reason alone I can take or leave Bristol City ever making the top flight as it currently is.
  20. He may have been right, but surely some class should be shown in defeat? The bloke has always come across as very bitter to me.
  21. Fairytale is Grimsby, a similar sized club to Wrexham with a lot less money and fame reaching Round 5 last night. Not much spoken about them though.
  22. Apparently Phil Parkinson whispered in one of the Sheff Utd's player's ears after the game saying it took you two games to beat a Non league side. Which doesn't surprise me coming from Parkinson, he's always been a bit of a classless ****. I would say that is why Sharp said what he said in his interview and I kind of like the honesty from him on live tv.
