  1. Ref being a Homer like he was on Saturday
  2. Seems universal from the Saints fanbase that they want him gone. It was an odd appointment in the first place after sacking Hassenhuttl. The way Jones acts and behaves is not the type of Manager that is a fit for a club like Southampton.
  3. Truly bizarre. Listened to the interview and he was referring to Luton as 'we' and Southampton 'they'. Not exactly the best thing to hear if you're a player at Soton. He claims Luton were a fluid, progressive side under him. They absolutely were not. They were shocking when we played them in August.
  4. Juventus recently deducted 15 points. At least Italy deal fair punishments out these days. The Big 6 in England can do what they like, the FA is scared of losing them to the Super League now.
  5. Really surprised the club have decided not to just load them to the season ticket. Fair enough not biggie, just a bit of a faff and a bit of an outdated system now
  6. Just go on 'click here' under the sale section and it will take you to your seats. Also, will the tickets be loaded to our season tickets or will we have print out the silly PDF document they'll email to us?

His movement for the 2nd goal is definitely worth looking at. An absolute brilliant run by him
  8. We were never really in control and I felt many times we were playing into Preston's hands. We played the long ball yesterday far more than we have most games this season. However, only one side were trying to play football and that was us. Preston were the most physical, direct and aggressive side I have seen us play this season. There was me thinking that style of play was a thing of the past ? Two big strikers, lumping it into the box at all times. We played a really deep defensive line from early on which was IMO not the right tactic to use. Should have been a high line and then we'd have dictated the game I think.
  9. Preston were a horrible side and don't play their best player - Daniel Johnson. A really physical, long ball side and their attempts to rile our players in the 2nd half whilst going unpunished was pathetic.
  10. Huge 3 points against a nasty thuggish, horrible side. Also the ref upset at the scoreline
  11. Although results haven't always been great, i've always retorted that he is the right man for the job. I've never known City to be as professionally ran as it has been in the last 18 months or so. Both he, Richard Gould and Brian Tinnion deserve a lot of credit in turning around the tide from the joke outfit we'd become behind the scenes before they Gould and Pearson arrived.
  12. Woeful isn't he. I was never a massive Clive Tyldesley fan but he is streets ahead of Matterface on comms. Doesn't help him that Lee Dixon is normally his drab co-commentator.
  13. Some fans are still too used to Mark Ashton coming out and waxing lyrical about the 'behind the scenes' goings on at Ashton Gate. A quiet operator who does his job well is all that's needed.
  14. I would hope a minority would say something like that as holding the door for anyone is a respectful thing to do, male or female.
  15. I was more talking that in general the attitude and respect has lowered these last few years and if these lads have no respect for themselves you cant expect them to respect Women It's more about the general attitude nowadays. Boundaries have been set since the dark days of the 70s when a Man could virtually do and say what he liked. The sexual revolution of the 60s was likely the first time in History that Men had access to multiple different Women. However, times have changed (for the good) and most Men know that the behaviours from those days were wrong, in general. Any Man who is still committing these acts in 2023 should know better and it leaves me to think the problem is far deeper than just education.
  16. Unfortunately there is very little respect for one another in our society these days. The community spirit has disappeared. I was taught from a young age to treat my sisters and any woman with extra care and respect from my Grandparents and that's always stayed with me. These troubled young people have zero values and morals from a young age to do these disgusting acts. The problem is far deeper than just 'educate your sons'. There is a whole mental health crisis among young boys today, including a big drug and homeless problem. We are failing as a society, to teach these kids simple manners and respect. Their heroes today are crass youtubers and rap stars encouraging sex and violence. They have a wide range of access online to sites they shouldn't have access to encouraging these acts whilst failing to develop into a well respected figure in society. It's not just an 'educate your sons' slogan nonsense. There is so many issues people just wont be willing to discuss when it comes to boys/men. Anyway, Greenwood is likely not innocent at all and the verdict doesn't disprove this.

Genuinely wish both him and Chris Martin well. Experienced pros like those two have been worth their weight in gold within the club in the past year or 2. When Nige discusses a change of culture, having guys like these around have obviously had a massive effect in the dressing room.
