  1. I don't like Taylor, but he is undoubtedly the best ever. The PDC wouldn't be up to the standards it is now without Taylor setting the bar as high as he did. He's also probably the worst winner ever and the worst loser ever in any individual Sport. A really unlikeable bloke.
  2. I have criticised Lansdown's for managerial decisions and prices at the club, however in general over the last 20 years you wouldn't find many owners in England who would continuously pump the money they put into the club with zero in return. Without their money and input we could easily have been where Swindon are right now or Bradford, languishing in League 2 with zero ground development and investment. We are where we are, what we have been for the majority of Bristol City's lifespan - a lower half Championship club. Part of me feels a couple of decent years under LJ has lead to a sense of entitlement from the younger sections of our chavy S82 support.
  3. Spoilt, entitled and arrogant. What do these 'fans' want back from the club?
  4. Agreed. The absolute desperation to sack him has gone way over the top, I'm surprised LJ lasted this long really considering the amount of losing runs he had. The club is in a bit of a mess behind the scenes and that's because of past mistakes. Sacking him won't resolve anything and this antipathy towards NP caused mainly by our own fans is nothing short of pathetic.
  5. That 19/20 squad is much better than the squad we have now.
  6. Have said on other threads - sacking Pearson doesn't change much. I have zero faith that SL will get in the right man based on his previous record. Massive problems at this club and it all feels rather stale and the fans can feel it based on the rather stale atmosphere at the club these past 3 or 4 years. SL doesn't have the passion for it as he used to (understandably). It's all very safe and cushty, the place needs a shake up and new owners would probably be worth the risk right now.
  7. Imagine booing a player who is a supporter of this club, i'd feel like absolute **** of I was King. Absolutely embarassing by some of our so called 'fans'. It's not King's fault that he is being selected out of position.
  8. Warnock would be a disaster here. He would want signings immediately on decent wages, he'd scrap playing any young players and we'd literally start going route 1 from minute 1.. Although for some fans that would be fantastic viewing as long as we were getting results ?
  9. it would likely be given to Curtis Fleming after an unbeaten run of 3 games as caretaker. Our whole process at selecting Managers have been woeful in SLs reign, literally amateur
  10. It's suggestions like this which really makes me question what kind of club our fans think we are? Gerrard would never come here
  11. Sacking him won't get us anywhere. We have no money to spend, who will really want to come here with that hanging over them? I also have zero faith in the owners making the right appointment after the farce when LJ was sacked and based on previous poor managerial appointments. I'm also really surprised some are calling us a sinking ship now - we have been for the last 3 years. The football has been awful ever since 17/18 and the results have only been going one way. Sacking NP is just putting a plaster over our sinking ship. There's a serious issue at this club which haven't been addressed since Cotterill left and even before that we were cannon fodder in this Division.
  12. We have been a sinking ship since 2019 dont know why some fans are waking up to it now
  13. I'd not return to the club for a while if that happened. He is one of the reasons we are in this position, with ffp from his signings. Also his tenure for as much as there were highs, the lows were really bad
  14. 2015

    Who?

He wouldn't come here though, he would wait for better offers than Bristol City
  15. 2015

    Who?

Yeah seeing the names of Robins flying about is hilarious. Why would he leave Coventry for us ? We aren't that good and nor is our squad. I don't see much changing in the long run by sacking Pearson, it's just putting a plaster on a sinking ship
  16. It has also been mentioned that the World is flat by a load of nutjobs, that doesn't mean it's true. You mentioned the autism in a comment about his fidgeting on press conferences like it was a 'thing' when it's not even relevant. What's relevant was what he was actually saying which you chose to ignore and instead make a nonsense reddit type accusation towards our Manager. This board isn't toxic either, posters debate and discuss. I found your comment a bizarre thing to say so I called you out on it, it's not personal. To be honest I find your whining quite nauseating to say the least, you make it seem personal when it's not.
  17. If a player is already thinking of playing elsewhere with a year left, it's pointless pursuing with playing them if their mind is on different things. I find it hard to believe they will want to put 100% into playing for City incase they fear of picking up an injury which will effect a future move.
  18. Accusing our Manager of autism is beyond weird.
  19. It's difficult. When he took over our defensive line was basically camped in its own 18 yard box, we were very deep but this was a big issue as it was effecting how poorly we were going forward. NP has tried to push us further up the pitch and in doing so it has made us more leakier than we would have liked, but on the attacking front we've been far better than when he took over. NP has failed to get a balance so far, I can admit that. The problem is we were because we had no choice, we were a very poor team and had little creativity, so opponents had the run of the play for most of the matches in 2020/21. Like i've said on previous posts, we aren't far away, we are probably 1 or 2 players short of being a decent side at this level.
  20. Stop going then if you are fed up with the results so much. Pearson wont be going by the sounds of things he's planning on the long term and has probably already had discussions with SL about the summer ahead. For the past 40 years this club has bumbled between lower half of Championship and the top half of League 1. We have had a couple of good seasons within that in this League which have cost us in the long run financially. In those times we have constantly fired and hired managers and it eventually led to relegations on every occasion (1995, 1999, 2013). For once this club needs stability due to the financial position it is in so in the long run we reap the rewards, sacking NP would absolutely throw everything up in the air regarding finances and contracts. We have to simply survive in this League whilst being restricted by FFP. Can you seriously name any other Manager who would come in and be able to stabilise this Football Club right now?
  21. I'm out of likes, but words never so true. The decision to appoint Holden at that time has set this club back about 5 years. The whole culture at this club was totally wrong at the time.
  22. You happen to pick out one point and ignore the context. What I was basically saying is although we are not getting the results we deserve, we're not far away, it's small tweaks like individuals making mistakes rather than the whole side playing below par. The Championship is very close and most teams are evenly matched, consistent wins in this league is very hard to come by for the majority (Luton have been the exception to this rule). If you cannot see the progress in our performances this season then I would say you may not go to many games.
  23. Totally correct. We are a better side than we were in February 2021 (Doesnt take much) just haven't been getting the results. We aren't getting hammered in matches, just players making mistakes at crucial moments. I don't think we're far away, a player or 2 missing in our side from being a top half team.
