Swap Joey Barton's Father is a w***** and everything will be fine I guess
-
It's pocket change in comparison to Wrexham though isn't it? Like I said, I'm not against a club like Wrexham getting the money and good owners, they're a traditional club who shouldn't be loitering in the Non League scene for as long as they have been. Hopefully Notts County go up and they get the same amount of recognition as Wrexham have got, but I doubt that will be the case.

Yep. Real shame this. Would have loved the traditional grounds like Anfield, Old Trafford, Elland Road, Hillsborough, Ibrox to be used as they are cultural stadiums that have been part of British football for many a decade. It's sad that now you could look at a Stadium and have no idea what Country the game is being played in because they're all being built to potentially host a major Tournament game nowadays.

I do like the Wrexham story and what the owners have done regarding the local community and they are genuine for sure. I just think it's a shame that Notts County who by comparison don't have anywhere near that money are going to be pipped to automatic promotion with 100+ points. Really hope if they don't make it they go up in the playoffs as they very much deserve it.

The biggest club to be relegated out of the league
2015 replied to Lanterne Rouge's topic in Football Chat
Notts County and Luton are the biggest in recent times imo -
He has been a big part of the matchday experience since I started going in 2001. A real sad day for Bristol to lose such a great Sports presenter. Big boots to fill imo

We are showing progress. With young upcoming players: Scott, Pring, Bell, Conway and the vast improvement of Vyner this has bred positivity for future seasons. Coupled that with the improvement of players signed from League 1 and 2 sides in Tanner, Atkinson and Sykes there is plenty to be pleased with. Unfortunately throughout this season our most important experienced pros have been injured which has led to inconsistent spells. Kalas, Naismith, James, Williams and Weimann all being out for long periods has prevented us from really pushing further up the table. However we're comfortably mid table and most can see the bigger picture that we're a side who are improving and are developing good young players. We are better than last season despite having our best players injured for a long periods and finally we are winning home games on a much more regular basis than in previous seasons where it was very methodical and dull.

If Reading go down i'd be surprised if they return to the Championship for a few years. They're run like a basket case and have been treading a fine line for a while.
-
He's a good player and will sadly go on and do well at another Championship club from 2023/24. Hopefully we get in a good replacement to compete with Pring at LB. Cannot stand the stigma about his height. Football has evolved since the 1980s and imo the best side ever (Barcelona 2008-2012) was depending on mainly smaller players due to their quality on the ball.

King and James have been excellent today -
I don't care about Wrexham, but from the games I've seen of them this season in the fa cup and today they were long ball merchants. Parkinson was the same at both Bolton and Bradford. That's his style and he has always been successful with it. Just not my cup of tea

Notts County play really good football
-
Ya beautyyyy Wrexham have been a typical Parkinson side. Long ball and physical. Luke Williams is a top coach and County have played some good stuff for the level they're at. Deserve to be leading.

Managers you are glad we have never had at City
2015 replied to Lanterne Rouge's topic in Football Chat
After listening to Radio Bristol for the lasy few years post match I would have to say most Yeovil managers. Darren Way, Darren Sarll, Mark Cooper. That's why they are on their way to the 6th tier. -
Good old Colin. Winding all the right people up. He's the most successful Championship Manager in its History and some still refuse to give him his due. I would never have wanted him Manager here, but I respect the Guy and FWIW he is a great bloke I think.

One of the worst Championship matches I've ever seen. Two really negative sides

Great win. Delighted for Mehmeti after a frustrating display last week. Just the reaction Pearson would have wanted -

This Millwall Luton game is absolutely awful. No quality whatsoever, just fouls, long balls, scraps. Not a good advert for the Championship. -
The Fruitheads

They're a great side who have been managed very well by Graham Potter and now De Zerbi. A seemless transition which was no doubt expertly planned by Tony Bloom
-
Really it was a 5 point deduction considering we virtually gifted them a point on Saturday

I can see Reading going down now
