I'd never witnessed City in the 2nd tier until 2007 so anything before then (started following from 2001) it was a mystery how it would feel to be at that level.
We all knew the side was good enough to achieve promotion as well (title favourites most seasons) and i'd go as far to say we had sides under Danny Wilson which were just as talented as the side who finally did it, but didn't have the bottle to carry us through.
Weirdly I loved those years, maybe it's nostalgia as I was a young City fan back then but we were always involved at the top end of a league and the 'nearly' moments made me support the club even more to be successful.
Many memorable matches in that era
It's more the fact other Countries don't quite get that it's irony. We are taking the **** out of ourselves.
Sweet Caroline is a rugby song as well, for me it doesn't suit football matches.
Hopefully better than BBC or ITV boys club coverage. ITV can keep Pougatch as well. boring presenter.
Jeff Stelling presenting, Phil Thompson, Le Tiss, Nicholas and Merse as guests would be a throwback.
He's my favourite player in their side. A really good assessment of him too that, he's been a top level footballer for over a decade. Has it all in the Midfield.
I love England. It's not perfect, but we have a lot we can be proud of. Sport is one of them. Was at Wembley today and it was a fantastic atmosphere.
?????????????????????
We haven't won back to back games all season. Scored 3 goals on only 1 occasion. Conceded how many in the last minute? It's at least 7 or 8.
It's poor and we have 2 or 3 good individuals keeping us alive.
