  1. If you compare where we were this time last year to now, you have to say there has been improvement. As said previously, we could barely muster a shot on goal in some matches at this point last year. The best thing Pearson has done is he has improved valuable young assets (Scott, Massengo, Pring, Semenyo) and also got the best out of Weimann and Martin as well. The biggest issue is we haven't been consistent, but that happens with inexperienced young players, and a side who had relegation form between January and May 2021.
  2. He was woeful, as usual. This season's standards have been shocking
  3. Semenyo is the main reason we have won 4 home games in a row and why we are so much more attractive to watch nowadays. Take him out of the side and we create very little. Average today? You must be on something heavy to think that total nonsense
  4. Dortmund still had Bellingham, Reus, Guerreiro, Witsel, Brandt, Hummels. Players Rangers could only dream of signing (bar Ramsey of course). It's a hell of a result for them to go to Dortmund and stick 4 past them, not only that, they thoroughly deserved the win, it was no smash and grab performance. People say they have quality that is barely Championship standard, but I can't see a Championship side going to Dortmund and doing that. Fair play to them
  5. It's embarassing as a club crest, very child like. JL idea as well wasn't it? He seems to me to just be a typical child of a very rich man. All the crackpot ideas, but the lights aren't quite all on upstairs. Well in Nige, the truth hurts and the fanbase of this club has watched failure after failure for the past 20 years, a lot of money spent with very little to show for it. If this is the end for Nige, I think my interest will drift sadly.
  6. The away match at QPR in September was the first time I'd ever been truly embarassed to be a City fan (Even losing to Rovers and 7-1 at Swansea wasn't as bad). Our coked up fanbase thought it right to take over the underground in shouting anti QPR chants at locals who were just going about their day, and even had chants at some on the tube that were actually Bristol City fans themselves. Generally these lads probably ranged between the ages of 19-25, scruffy as hell and were completely obnoxious to others. This is not normal behaviour, by all means have a scrap with rival fans in quiet places, I don't have an issue with that to an extent, just leave others who don't want to be involved alone.
  7. Been coming across like this since August, I actually don't mind Ian as he adds some form of knowledge, but is just very cantankerous. His anti Pearson tirades are boring and his constant boring obsession with having a tall squad is just funny
  8. Basically a Narcissist is probably the correct term. The person needs help, it's not personal.
  9. What are you even on about? If you post something on an open football forum you will expect notifications and posts to what you say. It's not personal!
  10. Oh is that who it is, it all makes sense now ?
  11. Had some helmets at many away games this season - QPR, West Brom and Coventry spring to my mind
  12. Yeah it's demoralising. But we need to get rid of the weak ones who are not up to it and recruit well in the Summer
  13. 1. We aren't going anywhere either way this season. 2. He is aware of the FFP restrictions the club have (Not many managers will want to come here with that hanging over us). 3. He has introduced Academy products into the team. Some players have improved under him (Semenyo, Weimann, Massengo, Pring, Scott). We are poor at the back yes, but we have been hamstrung by Baker's injury and Tanner's. 4. We need a period of stability at the club which I believe we will benefit from in the long run. 5. We're actually entertaining at least, even if it is frustrating, which we haven't been for a good few years now. 6. I think the players ARE playing for Pearson, some individuals are not good enough though (Vyner, COD, O'Leary). Fair enough, you might want him sacked because you look at the results and are unhappy, but to me it's short sighted and would be totally the wrong decision.
  14. It works well because they have very good players and a model that has worked for a long time at the club. When has it ever worked here? Do we have a squad of very good players? Nope. It would be a disaster to sack Pearson right now.
  15. You're a typical modern day footy fan. Club isn't going down this season, nor is it going up. NP inherited a poor side, with financial restrictions. We are where we are because we aren't very good. This time last year we could barely even get a shot on goal most matches. If we go down the route of sacking a manager every year again we'll be in League 1 by 2024, you're short sighted in my opinion.
  16. Because he really is the weak link to our side. Poor player
  17. The two home games before the Barnsley result in 20/21.. It STILL baffles me to this day how we managed to beat Huddersfield. Imagine thinking NP was the issue when he inherited a squad who were just getting battered most games and clinging on from minute 1

    Ref today

Langford weirdly is usually 'ok' at this level as Referee's go, but last night he definitely had a right mare and would not just allow the game to flow, which happens too often in English football these days.
  19. For a club like Reading, certainly. The only attraction they have for players is they are located near London. They're a smaller fish than many L1 clubs (Portsmouth, Charlton, Sheff W, Sunderland, Bolton, Ipswich). It will depend on whether they keep some of their players but with their current financial situation, that looks unlikely as they have too many players too good for League 1.
  20. I'd like Reading to go down. Never really liked them, always seemed to beat us and have really crap fans who think they're bigger than they actually are. Would be a nice bit of humble pie for them to go into League 1

    COD

That 5-10 minute cameo from him tonight was nearly up there with the infamous Nicky Hunt horror show vs Leeds
