FIFA World Cups for me or Bristol City.

Reading at home match day thread
2015 replied to Jerseybean's topic in The Havanatopia Match Day Archive
Reading do have good individual players and could be dangerous if they turn up. It's in the balance for me, both sides leak goals. I worry if Joao turns up and plays well he could cause issues. Another 3-2 City win. -
I do like the podcast but over the last few months Ian has been very negative and clearly has an agenda against a few at the club. He is also often rude to Headhunter I find at times, talks over him, discredits his opinion whenever he talks about the past which is totally relevant to our current standing. If you ignore his antics and just laugh at how delusional he can come across as then you'll enjoy it. It's a bit rough around the edges but these are long standing City fans who love the club. To have a podcast out there after every game is brilliant and there are 3 good ones to choose from although I only ever listen to 3PIAP and FBC, but that's down to personal taste.

I'm not really a Rugby guy but do take a passing interest in any Sport when England play. It seems to me since the World Cup England have been woeful, and it's not English Arrogance to expect to beat Scotland and Wales at Sport but when you have more facilities and money spent you expect more than what has been put out in the six nations in the last 10-15 years. Thankfully our Football team is in a better position these days than Rugby which was never the case during the Golden Generation. There seems to me to be a lack of direction and hunger within English Rugby to truly dominate the 6 Nations unlike Wales or Ireland who seem to always have the bit between their teeth to not only beat us but to win the Grand Slam. The decisions being made on the Rugby field on Saturday has been happening for years as far back as when Stuart Lancaster was in charge, it's naivety, it happens every single time. I'd still rather be English though and have the better football side by quite a way.

Do you expect us a year on to be a playoff chasing team? Can't wait for the Pearson Outers to come out -

Very easy for fans to just simply look at results. We are WAY better than we were this time last year. We were totally rudderless. 1 bad result and performance does not change this. -
They got lucky vs Villa in 3rd Round. Bit of karma really
-
I watched the game. Prefer Rangers out of the 2, but they were absolutely woeful last night. I think City would have beaten them. Celtic look like they have signed quite a few up and coming players from Japan and are hungry to get the title back off Rangers. I think Rangers losing Gerrard was a huge loss for them.

The Ali Durden commentary is just as legendary as the match in the 5-4 win vs Mansfield. Absolutely brilliant

Born in '94. Having read the forum for years and not having much knowledge of anything before 2001 I will go based on my own time. Top 5 1. City 2-1 Man Utd 2017 2. City 3-0 Swindon 2015 3. Mansfield 4-5 City 2002 4. City 3-1 Rotherham 2007 5. Cardiff 1-3 City 2001 All for differing reasons. I didn't include the Playoff Semi final wins as we didn't see the job through and that will always remain my main memory.

Rooney has showed utter class during his time with Derby. Maybe the media have a lot to answer for his unpopularity, I think
-
I'd have Semenyo any day. Fam was good at heading but used to have a first touch of a trampoline and wasn't the quickest. Semenyo more my sort of striker. Quick, strong, good turn, good dribbler
-
He wants Rugby lines on The Etihad's pitch I expect, Johnson can advise with his full USP
-
Imagine dancing a merry jig to a guy who has achieved nothing in Football. Literally nothing. Bit sad really. Glad we have Pearson
-
They're probably already planning his route for a come back.
-
Been heard as a chant at a few away games we want Lee Johnson back. I can't stick the guy tbh but I understand he is a bit like marmite and has big fans here. I just worry he'll come back as Manager that's all
-
Lets hope we don't lose a couple now as there will be a few calling for him to come back ? Bit reactionary from Sunderland though being 3rd and all that
-
It would have been started anyway by someone as it's a football forum and it's come across as just a bit of pointless nit picking. What's he/she gaining from it?
-
You sound like the sort of guy at School who would snitch to the teachers. I'm sure your heart is in the right place but judging by your also pretty flawed political views (each to their own) you're a bit misguided and just being objective for the sake of it, to look intelligent, when you just look rather stupid.

Football bloody hell
-
Kept pulling out of England internationals due to 'injury' then would miraculously appear for Man Utd a week later. Had a chip on his shoulder because Southgate punished him for acting a 'lad' in Iceland. I had a bad feeling he was a bad egg
-
Being told you're the next best thing and given everything from a young age doesn't help them.
-
Sickening. What a piece of shit
-
I can't stick LJ but lets be honest here, Sunderland fans are the most fickle fans in the Country i'd say. A total mess. Johnson doesn't help himself sometimes with the stuff he comes out with
-
I dont know about that, had fans smashing up our toilets last week and many a bitter fan calling us 'relegation fodder'. It's just good to see many good praise for a change.
