I thought I'd check in on my favorite 'where to live in Bournemouth thread and see what the latest is. Coincidently (and obviously I don't want to derail the thread here), but i heard there is a possibility Semenyo might be off, and Bournemouth might be one of the clubs interested.

It was played back to the Keeper who waited until he was challenged - then he picked it up and looked at options and then booted up field. It also saw the rise of the sweeper keeper and whole new tactical styles.

If its the same as what Wenger originally proposed to trialed then its not actually as clear cut as the thread title. The idea was to stop time wasting by giving the option of a kick in instead of a throw if taken within 5-10 seconds. It wasn't actually to get rid of throw-ins altogether, just incentivise getting the game moving quicker. If kick is blocked by the opposition it becomes and actual free-kick. I'm not sure its an area that needs to be changed or that I like the idea (would a team trying to time waste actually care?), but throw-ins are kind of the modern equivalent of passing back to the keeper, and that change did improve things.

As I said i'm not the most informed in these aread so, I'm not sure why i'm getting further into this! But heyho! I think employers used to be able to withhold PAYE on these schemes, as long as that was reported.

Would a ESPP scheme be gaming the system when it is so commonly used? Does FFP restrict this? I would definitely understand if it does, but this is something that defiantly happens in most businesses here. I admit this area is not one I know a huge amount about (so I may be sounding really stupid! ?). However if these shares where used in that kind of scheme, would that be a way of tempting high calibre staff without actual financial outlay? technically the employee is buying the shares.

It might well be. I know shares are huge part of recruitment in the tech industry out here, just wondered if that was possible within FFP. You are probably right though.

I think recruitment (so far) suggest you are right. I agree, also If we have the same system as last season then you are asking a lot of the 2 centre mids. I think we look like we are going back 5 though. for that to work I think everyone needs to have really good positional awareness. At various times CB's will need to step up to support midfield and Wing backs will need to tuck in.

Genuine questions Could we issue shares to top up salary for someone? I presume thats not possible for players but if we wanted someone behind the scenes (head of recruitment for example) would it be allowed? Would that be a FFP work around.

Agree and disagree. No doubt those marquee games are great, but what has always made football great is the surprise package. Happens in cups here, even in the premier league with Leicester winning. I want brazil v italy etc at the world cup, butI also want the surprise packages. The teams who may not win, but light up the the tournament. Cameroon, Ghana, Colombia, South Korea etc have all made World Cups very exciting. The upsets and surprises are a huge part of what makes the tournaments great.

A journeyman for most of his career. 18 months under NJ and his team and has one decent season in probably 12 as a pro and they think they’ve signed Rio Ferdinand. The team that took Bakinson and ruined him and I noticed O’Dowda who they signed ahead of us has now left on a free. 8th is their best ever season in the championship under the playoff system. A nothing club that’s won **** all and never will.

I think thats fair, we're *England) pretty compact shape wise and not very fluid on the ball, so there is less need for some to cover position, but having him in offers experience, the option to be more defensive by bringing him on, or to be more attacking by bringing him on - he will cover for players who push forward and drift/move out of position. There aren't that many players who can offer all that from the bench.

Also I think people miss what Henderson brings. He will have played pretty much every game for Liverpool this season, but (despite what soem people think) plays at a very high intensity and is often substituted as it is not possible to maintain that for 90 mins every week. It's his positional awareness that is so important and covering for players who have moved up the pitch - I would say he is vital to how Liverpool play. He is not an exciting player to watch, but the fact that he is an ever present for one of the best teams in the world shows the quality he has.

The ref has been great. Letting the game flow. Letting the game be physical. Getting pretty much each decesion right.

There are requirements on top annual financial commitments. If I remember correctly one of them is to have a full size in door pitch, not sure why, but hey-ho!

We scored about 5 seconds after I managed to start watching. I'm not claiming Edward's doesn't deserve some credit for the goal, but I think it's clear who was really responsible.
