  1. Bentley Scott Kalas Klose DaSilva Williams Massengo Wieman Semenyo Martin Bell Would be my guess.
  2. It's a very moving piece of art.
  3. Swansea forum (not many posts on there): before goal Game as expected, swans possession, snatched half chances, dominant side. Obafemi looking very good, Paterson seems off the pace. post goal: He looked offside, just seen it again and linesman wasn't up with play. Just wound it back to watch, half a yd offside Russ really not getting it is he. No points for possession. Nah, onside. Can't lose this one Not offside. Every chance they have had has come from us giving the ball away. Very frustrating. Brizzle simply know how to play us ,as do all other teams Not moving the ball quick enough and the usual passing for the sake of passing, which obviously slows everything we do down.
  4. Our first mention on BBC text was 'another Bristol City corner' ? Then when Jay went down in the box kept the ball got up and got it back to vyner to cross they said 'Bristol fans appealing for a penalty as Jay Dasilva goes down under pressure from Hannes Wolf, but there was little to no contact and Keith Stroud tells him to get back to his feet.'
  5. To be fair I needed a reply to see it. Just very well timed so Weiman looked a yard or so ahead when it was live.
  6. Replay just shown shows him level. Would need VAR to check, but whether he is off or on side its tight.
  7. Getttttttt innnnnn!!! Brilliant by Weiman, holds of his man then so calm with the finish.
  8. I think a big chunk of the criticism he gets comes from how brilliant he was when he exploded into the scene. He looked like he was going to be like a Ronaldo or a Messi in terms of ability, but despite being an amazing player never hit that level. People just had an unrealistic expectation of what he should be able to do.
  9. Highlights how crazy today was even more. Thanks @Davefevs
  10. He apparently averages 13.33 fouls given per game and 2.33 yellow cards. So don't know what his issue was today. @Davefevs anyway you can get stats for average number of fouls we have conceded etc?
  11. Honestly a terrible performance. We've seen some bad refs this season, but they've tended to be just incompetent and given bad decisions each way. He gave an insane number of free kicks their way, some were beyond baffling. The pen is super soft, Martin booked for a 'foul' when he would have been clean through. He was also constantly slow with the whistle and indecisive - him and the linesmen reversed at least two decisions. 5 yellow cards for us 1 for them. 20 fouls 'conceded' by us - 5 for them. One of the most unbalanced performances I can remember seeing - thank God we won. Honestly think we win that super comfortably (possibly even with a clean sheet) with a competent refereeing performance.
  12. Referring has been awful. We have 'conceded' 20 fouls today. I'm not saying we are the cleanest team in the league, but that is crazy. Reading 'conceding' just 6. Awful, awful performance by him. Add in being constantly late to blow the whistle too.
  13. I do agree, but I would also add we have been much organized defensively - particularly on set plays,
  14. First half: not as entertaining as we have been recently. Defensively looked way better (Klose in particular). Seem to be hitting long again - a tactic I thought we got away from. I don't mind it under pressure (safety first), but often no pressure and be lumped forward today. Goal was good.
  15. As much as I'm not a fan no COD overlapping and taking a man. Constantly has two players to get past when out wide.
  16. I'm Ghana try and Ghana as much information about his games for Ghana as possible.
  17. This was the main details on the pen stats: "A remarkable stat that covers the biggest 31 leagues in Europe, over 600 teams in total, reveals the Robins are rock-bottom in regards to the frequency of penalties awarded. Look away now Nigel Pearson. Thanks to data provided by the CIES Football Observatory, since the start of the 2018/19 season, City have been awarded a penalty every 1,834 minutes. That's every 30.5 hours of football or averaging just over every 20 matches to put it into perspective." Taken from the post.
  18. If we were scraping for our lives I think it would be a closer decision on who to pick - DB shop stopping can be insane at times. But given we are in transition (not going up or down) I think it makes sense to develop Max by giving him game time - he needs that and I don't think DB does.
  19. I have been thinking of posting something like this for a while, but this comment from the Preston forum stood out and made me finally do it- "Bristol City were technically very goal and worked very hard. Surprised on their league position. Expected Pearson would have been fired by now given expectations at the club but looks like he's building something and maybe the club see this." I think the club definitely do see this and most fans too - for a few everything needs to be instant though. We are a club in transition and NP is doing a great job. He is mostly working with what he has, with the odd low budget addition. He has also had to let players go -(some he may of wanted to keep, but we couldn't afford) and make the tough decisions on players who maybe do not fit the clubs ethos and plans. That brings us to the next part, plans and identity! Something LJ went on about, but we now clearly have. It shows on the pitch and it shows in how the fans at the games have reacted - Getting behind the team because we can finally see a plan, a willingness to play football (rather than jsut grind games out) and they trust where we are going. Our performances are getting better all the time + players are improving all the time. We have such a young side and they have come on so much since last season - imagine what they might be like next season if they make even half as much progress. The pathway is there, they are clearly being well coached and getting match exposure. We could easily field a team with over half coming from the club: Max, Pring, Vyner, Scott, Conway, Benarous add in club developed players/kind of home grown - Semenyo, HNM, Cundy. I think for me it reminds me of when Sean O'Driscoll was here - he had to transition the club and despite things not going well on the pitch I think there are a fair few who appreciate he did a lot of the work to transition us and set things up behind the scenes and with restructuring - for Cotts to get us flying. That's what NP is doing now - only he is doing it and managing to improve us game on game and develop our own players. Anyone still not able to see that needs to take a step back and see the bigger picture. However I think most do and as we keep progressing more and more will.
  20. From their forum: Massengo is some player Massengo = worth about 50 million judging by today. Quality player, involved with everything and never gets tired. Preston 1 Massengo 2 Best performance I’ve seen from anyone at Deepdale all season I think their number 42 is the player that a lot of our fan base think Alan Browne is. Not in the same universe. However, what we lack in ability we absolutely make up for it in spirit. Fair play. Massengo in the Bristol midfield was superb, premier league clubs will be calling for him I’d expect. Best performance from an away player in some time. Does anybody have any thoughts on the last time a player came to Deepdale and played that well? Massengo A name I think we will see in the premiership for sure
  21. I like to look on the forum at the other teams match threads, always find it interesting to see what they say. Preston are always great because they seem to accept when the opposition have played well and give credit. Here are some of their most positive comments from today. Brizzle 75% possession so far, sounds like they’ve come out with all guns blazing! Thoroughly second best so far. ******* shite. Bristol don't look like a team that's lost so many away games. Getting ripped to shreds here every time brizzle attack Chris Martin with a clinical finish after Weimann was allowed to play the through ball unchallenged. We can’t live with Semenyo this half! About the 2nd goal: That was class ? Absolute fantastic goal. Back to general comment: Massengo is some player Massengo = worth about 50 million judging by today. Quality player, involved with everything and never gets tired. Preston 1 Massengo 2 Best performance I’ve seen from anyone at Deepdale all season Completely out played in first half, better second half performance, but nowhere near god enough, Bristol have been by far the better team. ?? Deserved nothing there, lost every battle but when you've got a proven goalscorer you always have a chance of getting points. The difference in energy was massive Didn’t deserve anything really..their lad in midfield and the other up front ran the game. (Massengo and Semenyo) absolutley robbed them Didn't deserve that but we should have comfortably beat Birmingham and somehow only came away with a point. Nice to have it go for us this time. Against Bristol of all teams as well. They must ******* hate us. Bristol City were technically very goal and worked very hard. Surprised on their league position. Expected Pearson would have been fired by now given expectations at the club but looks like he's building something and maybe the club see this. I think their number 42 is the player that a lot of our fan base think Alan Browne is. Not in the same universe. However, what we lack in ability we absolutely make up for it in spirit. Fair play. Does anybody have any thoughts on the last time a player came to Deepdale and played that well? Massengo A name I think we will see in the premiership for sure Thought Alex Scott ran the show for them in midfield first half, almost total domination... I guess that's what a Category 2 academy can get you. But according to our brave leaders, it's better to save money and do without such things.
  22. To have a go for one mistake when he had a fantastic game and is in his first full season playing at this level is ridiculous. Edit: Just don't understand the need to have a scapegoat all the time. He played great made a number of important challenges and two or three great clean tackles in the box. Just no need to lay the whole result on him - as though how well he played before has no importance or relevance.
