  1. I would normally agree, but he signaled that he thought it ght the defender got the ball. He's wrong Def pen, but he obviously thought defender got ball.
  2. The crowd- ?"We're winning at home, we're winning at home how sh#$ must you be? We're winning at home!"? ?
  3. I think this is a must. My daughter has always had a passing interest in Football and City, it seemed to fluctuate a lot - one minute very into it and then in different. I put this down to her wanting to share my interest, but as soon as I started to show her the woman's games/highlights she was captivated and now loves both the mens and women's teams. I think its hard to emphasise enough how much seeing a female role model can have an effect on young girls. Almost like it made her see - 'hey this can be for me too.'
  4. On a lot of American made cars the brake light is the indicator! So they are red.
  5. I have the same. @Tinmans Love Child I just found that out via your post ?. The worst for me was playing cricket. If the ball ended up in long grass just outside the boundary of the pitch I played out it was basically invisible to me. Could jot for a nd it even if looking right at it!
  6. Agree with pretty much all of this. However the bit in bold - this definitely gives relegated teams a massive and unfiar advantage, but the flip side is if you don't have this then promoted teams have no chance of competing in the premier league - they will not be able to employ players on a high enough salary as they will have to effectively work with a championship budget incase they are relegated. Something needs to change, but i'm not sure how you work around that.
  7. He actually has 5 goals this season when you include the cup (50 total appearances) and 6 assists. He is young and the improvement from last season to this was huge. Add in how he can go past players and the number of shots he had that flashed just wide and I don't think it's that hard to see the potential. I would rather we kept him, but it really does depend who we want in. Same goes for Bentley - we may need to sell whoever we can get a decent fee for to free up funds for wages and some transfer fees. Which other players are we likely to get a few million for? However I think he could be huge next season.
  8. I'm also inclined to say keep him. However It's going to be an unusual market this summer - there are a lot of out of contract players and I guess you could argue £3m + freeing up a squad space allows you to put that money towards the wages of an out of contract player we might not be able to afford otherwise. I guess it all depends on who NP wants this summer. But just to emphasise again I'd rather we kept him I think he could really develop the difference between last season and this is already huge.
  9. You have cherry picked the last four games to make us look bad why not pick the last 6 gam.... (someone whispers in my ear)...really? Ok why not pick the last 8 gam.... (whispers in ear again)... seriously? Ok why not pick the last 10 gam....(whispers again)....damn! Ok never mind as you were.
  10. I rarely get annoyed with other peoples opinions but AW worked his arse off today and was involved at both ends throughout right until the end. He was even clearly playing through pain at the end and still making runs to cover and press. If this is your honest assessment I can only conclude you were listening to and not watching the game.
  11. We are just finishing up first week of home schooling my two kids here in California. I have been so inspired by all the home schooling posts my friends have been posting and all the amazing things people are doing! Thought I share how things have been going for me to hopefully inspire a few of you who are starting this next week. Started the week pumped up and determined to make a good go of it - Monday's lessons mostly went to plan and as intended, kids seemed to have fun too. However It's now Friday and I am sad to report that I have had to suspend two students for bad behavior and fire one teacher for drinking and sleeping on the job.
  12. Reading about that the Olympics may be postponed or canceled all together if there is no improvement by May. Do we think this might have a similar impact on the Euro's? Italian football has already been effected by it - could it lead to a delay/cancellation? Or a reduction in the number of countries hosting?
  13. I pretty out of my depth. With some of the discussion here (although it makes a fascinating read). But with regard to the valuation I would have thought you would need a chartered surveyor valuation to ensure no foul play if part of Derby County's valuation process used an a accredited chartered surveyor valuation it would be hard to disbute the valuation. It regularly used when parties may have and interest in inflating or deflating value - eg. Obtaining a value of property to pay off loans in tge gov help to buy scheme.
  14. From Swansea forums: Bristol City's passing is slicker and more accurate than ours and Andreas Weimann is head and shoulders above everybody else on the pitch. Very classy player. We have been totally outplayed We r second best today guys
  15. Do you know what? I hope we do hear from them. I hope they can come on and give some praise for the last couple of games. Half the problem is how blinkered some of the opinions are how showing even a modicum of positivity or optimism is seen as being a happy clapper. How not thinking the season is over and a relegation fight is a certainty after three games is seen as delusional. And in actual fact, if they were able to be positive when its due then their other comments would have more merit.
  16. Missed a good chunk of the 1st half as I couldn't get the bctv player to work. Saw from where Watkins came off, from here on we've looked really good, swansea hardly had anything and we probably should have scored at least one more. COD also doing well. how were we doing before that? we're Swansea offering anything? etc
  17. That was an awful game, love the result and I guess that's all that matters but not very inspiring. Thought we played better football in the Middlesborough game.
  18. Eze with an easy chance, thankfully he plays it as shockingly as our keeper.
  19. I can't fault your logic, we've beaten them before therefore it's a walk in the park - shouldn't matter how good a team they are just our recent games against them. If only we could play man u everyweek it would be an easy season. You won't find it find any posts by me critising Pulis's managerial ability - don't like his style but always defensively sound and effective.
  20. I know lame - imagine considering the quality of the opposition we were playing. I mean what bearing could that possibly have on a match.
  21. I would agree with you with regards to forwards (we're crying out for a natural CF on the pitch), Eisa is a gamble and much as I like Taylor he's running out of time to show some consistent champ form or at least force himself into the starting line up for a spell. So We lack depth there but with regards to CB's and FB's we can't have 3 players of the right quality for every position it would be ridiculous to try and sustain that.
  22. We played 2 CB's at CB today despite having 3 out injured and you would like us to have signed a 6th? Pisano at LB is very likely to be a one-game occurrence because of how recently Dasilva came in.
  23. Here's the problem - People will make comments like this. At CB we have Wright, Baker, Taylor, Hegeler, Webster, and Kelly why would we sign another? Kelly played today and was one of our best players. RB we have Pisano and Hunt as well as Wright who can deputise there and a youngster in Pring who played there a few times for Hereford. Other people moaning about LB well we have signed Dasilva to play there but he only 1st trained with us 24hours before the Plymouth game so obviously wasn't quite ready yet.
  24. This is the most ridiculous matchday thread I can remember. We're playing one of the better teams in the league, we've been on top for long spells of the game and people are acting like we've been destroyed and completely outplayed. Its a game we could easily have got something out of on another day, we've created plenty and its not quite run for us. Obviously, there are things to be concerned about particularly at the back where we have been sloppy at times and Hunt in particular needs better concentration on his first touch and passing. But GK looks good (particularly for a free), Kelly had a great game, Pack looks fantastic and Wieman is quality.
