  1. Is Ralph Milne at Dundee United ? This is a fun game by the way. ?
  2. Forbes Phillipson-Masters may still have been at Southampton then?
  3. Good game and the right result in the end. They kept Haarland really quiet tonight. Man City will have the edge at home next week.
  4. i wonder if Nacho enjoys a salsa?
  5. Good hit. Hard to imagine it's going to end one - one.
  6. This Ref is letting a lot of argy bargey go here.
  7. Could have easily knocked that into his own net. Did really well to hook it away.
  8. I'd definately give King another year and have him in a player / coach / acadamy role. Sadly while I think we may offer Kalas another deal on reduced terms, I think his time with us is up. Dasilva may well end up in another Championship side which could bite us in the arse later on. There's no way I'd expect HNM to come back. I think his bridges were well and trully burnt with his attitude. I'd forgotten we still had Taylor Moore in contract. We must have been paying him a kings ransom given how were unable to offload him over the last 7 (yes that's right SEVEN) years.
  9. The lowest they can finish this season is 18th and the highest they can finish is 14th. So that's between 1 and 5 places better off than they were on the 22nd Feb 2021 when Biffer Barton took over. Obviously on that day, he decided to use the "Escalator" approach of going down before going back up again.
  10. He employs a manager with very little previous experience and certainly never been a manager and he spends his owners money like water on dozens of players. A familiar story but the big difference this time is that it looks like he's going to get Town promoted. How long will it be before he has to do a runner before they run out of cash?
  11. I posted in the loan watch thread a while ago when I went to watch Walsall v Gillingham, that I wasn't thst impressed with him. He's a big lad and he certainly doesn't mind getting stuck in but I mostly saw a tackle and hoof type of defender. He almost gave the ball away in front of his own, empty net after a poor touch and then a mix up with his own keeper. I was surprised to read in the comments above that the Saddlers fans were having a pop at him now because he was getting some positive comments earlier in the season both from fans and the local press. A high point for him was the Leicester FA Cup game where he did play well. Walsall have only won 1 of their last 15 odd games (that Gillingham fixture) so clearly things have gone wrong there. As for Low going down like he's been shot by the row Z sniper,it's definitely not a good look. Not a fan of thst sort of thing regardless of who he's playing for.
  12. This interesting article estimates how much it would cost to buy a Football club at each level. https://the-elastico.com/cost-of-football-clubs/ Obviously they've been on the methane again.
  13. Fantastic result and a brilliant boost for the club as a whole. There's no better time to get back into the WSL with the world cup in the summer bound to ramp the popularity of the women's game up another notch. It's safe to say the squad will need further investment now to give ourselves a stronger chance of competing. Exciting times.
  14. Am I right in remembering when it all started to go financially wrong for them back in the early 2000*s, it was our match at their place they chose to stage a huge protest against their board at? Anyway, let them have their moment. Well done and all that jazz and then hopefully Notts County will win the play offs. I fully expect Wrexham to do the double promotion as a lot of clubs coming out of the National league tend to do and then we'll see how the Hollywood story goes. League 1 is a different reality these days.
  15. The good thing to take away from this game is that we've got a solid base of a team who can hold their own. We've got a group of young lads who have played their way across the season in to first choice contention for their spots. Every game through the remainder of the season will continue to help develop this squad for next season. It is obvious however, that we lack an extra something in the final third. Someone who can attack through the middle and play behind a single striker or a front two and pull defences apart would be a must for me. I like Weimann but he wasn't getting the in the first half and wasn't doing much with it when he had it in the second. The one good thing I can take away from the way we've played since Christmas though, is that it's enjoyable to watch. Even when we lose we've played some great stuff. After some trying times a few years ago, it's great to be able to say we are fun to watch.
  16. They're going to need a clean up team in the Sky comm box. I think he's just jizzed on his desk.
  17. Bell has played football tonight like I play golf. If he's had to hit the ball any further than 10 feet it's been hopeless.
  18. Good job my kids are round their grand parents house tonight given the number of "**** offs" I'm shouting at the TV.
  19. To be fair to Weimann, we've been playing with a bit of width in the first half so most of the ball has being going down the flanks to Cornick or Bell. King and James have been dominent in the middle so Weimann's not seing much of the ball. I think he does nee to push in to the box a bit more aggresively and give their defenders something extra to think about. Bell hasn't stopped over hitting the ball all game so far. As people have said above, we just need that little bit more composure. I can't fault the energy though. We're moving really well as a team. Everyone's getting back and supporting. It doesn't look anything like a nothing game for us. Hopefully we can maintain that energy in the second half. COYR.
  20. Keepers job is to shout at his defence regardless of who was to blame.
  21. This bloody commentator is doing my head in. How negative? I can imagine him as a Doctor. Well sir, the good news is we've saved your toe but the bad news is we've had to cut your leg off to do it.
  22. One minute Bell and Cornick are playing like Messi the next touch they just look messy. Some good stuff though.
