  1. Anyone else laugh when those in the room cheered when number 69 was read out? ?
  2. That's better. Not a fully convincing performance but we've stopped the slide. Now let's build on this and move forward.
  3. Chewed my nails down to the bone here. Blow for full time FFS
  4. some occasional moments where we look quite sharp but not much to sing about so far. Happy to go in 0-0 but we need far more effort in the second half.
  5. Great period for the style of football we played. Complete failure in terms of carrying the club forward. By mid season in all four of his seasons in charge we were around the top six and in every season we had spells after January where we seemed to fall apart.
  6. Glad I chose to watch that on the Red Button instead of Robins TV. That was a poor match. City did look better in the second half but the end product seems to have packed up and gone on holiday for a while. Coventy didn't offer a great deal either. A point on the board is about the only positive to take away from that.
  7. Just logged in to say what a dull, low on quality, first half that was but I see I've been beaten to it. God, I hope the second half is better.
  8. Does it come with a wipe clean cover and a box of tissues? Asking for a friend.
  9. Genuinely did not know that and the first world cup I clearly remember was 1982. Never heard they're based on the FA colours. Having said that though. I actually think that makes it worse not better. Who gives a **** about the FA? National shirts should mean national colours. I can't think of any other country in the world that adopted the colour of their football governing body..
  10. The view from the Norwich side. https://forum.pinkun.com/index.php?/topic/149662-ricardos-report-v-bristol-city/
  11. The England home and both Dutch kits are shocking. I can never get my head around why we have to have so much blue on an England home strip. The national flag of England is red and white. Those should be the only colours to feature. Some tidy designs among the dross but most of them just look like very, very expensive T-Shrts.
  12. Sorry but B and M is the only other thing I've seen today with that many cheap gifts in it Norwich got away with one there
  13. Sykes is like lightening up that right hand side but his end product is very hit and miss.
  14. For Christ's sake. We'd started to settle and played some decent touches and then that. Naismith having a mare.
  15. They've been hammering on the door for the first 10 so no surprises that we're a goal down. Need to keep our heads up and get into them now.
  16. "In the last few minutes of the game, Ipswich scored their 8th goal of the match. A frustrated Joey Barton kicked out at a water bottle but managed to connect with it far more effectively than he'd imagined. The bottle spins up and up and eventually lands on the arm of a spectator. That spectator just so happened to be the Ipswich CEO, Mark Ashton. Unfortunately, Mr Ashton was holding a cup of hot but extremely cheap and nasty tasting coffee. The cup emptied it's contents in to Mr Ashton's groin causing him to yell out and leap into the air. The sudden commotion distracted the Ipswich players and enabled Rover's to score their only goal of the game. This was unfortunate for Ipswich as they eventually missed out on automatic promotion to the championship on goal difference and subsequently lost out in the play offs. Rovers had been relegated much earlier in the season." Extract from "Football - Strange but true stories" published in July 2023.
  17. No contest, this is the one I'd vote for:
  18. I think my favourite ever re-use of this clip is when someone used it to announce the departure of Mark Ashton. Who ever that person was, you sir (or ma'am) are a legend.
  19. What's the bets on Sean Dyche getting the Brighton job?
  20. Let's look on the positive side. This seems like the first season in a long, long while when we've started a season without being able to form a first choice 11 from the injury list alone. The medical and conditioning team have done a great job.
  21. Watched it live on TV at a friends house. This was the week after my first ever visit to the Gate which was a 0-0 draw with Sunderland. Hard to believe its been 30 years.
