  1. I know its a bit late in the day to say this but the venues for the Womens Euros are bizarre. There's no representation in the Midlands at all and nothing in the West / South West. I completely understand that some games will draw bigger crowds than others hence the vastly different sizes of venue but the locations are either all in the North West or South East.
  2. The very same question a number of our previous managers have asked when trying to organise a defence.
  3. Just caught up on some of the posts on this thred. @In the Net, wishing you all positive thoughts. Positivity is a powerful thing when it comes to keeping on, keeping on.
  4. The shorter the ban the harsher the sentence isn't it?
  5. As a starting point I would remove the restriction on the ability to stream local radio commentaries via the Internet. Regarding TV services, more and more people are getting around the black out by using VPNs and illegal streams so the 3pm black out is getting harder to enforce anyway. I agree with some of the comments above, give it a one season trial and potentially restrict viewing passes to sale for the away team but with a revenue split with the home side, something like 80/20 to the away team. This would cover any home fans who would inevitably purchase a stream from the away teams service. I admit I am biased in this because I don't get down to the gate as often as I could 20 years ago as I live in the Midlands now.
  6. City V Sunderland August 1992 so coming up to my 30th anniversary this year. All the highs, lows and points in between.
  7. I saw him at the Colston Hall in the mid 90's, shortly after Heavy Soul was released. It was absolutely bloody awful. One of the worst concerts I've seen. He was in the middle of his "I'm not playing anything I wrote before last year" phase and Heavy Soul was not a great album either. He was in a crap mood, said bugger all and just arsed his way through each song. It's a shame because the blokes music from In the City all the way up to today is mostly incredible.
  8. This is their new song: A tour of the West Country.... https://youtu.be/FTxn7p3TCXw
  9. Good game City and a cracking time to score the winner. Let's hope we can win the final. Another generation of city youth to blend into the first team.
  10. To expand it slightly, my worst ever City back 4: Nicky Shorey - Left Back Richard Dryden - CB Julian Watts - CB Gerard Lavin - Right Back
  11. Richard Dryden. Absolutely shite. Thankfully Sir Terry Cooper talked Souness into buying him for Southampton and netting us a ten grand profit in the bargain.
  12. I always thought the host nation played the first fixture?
  13. Christ I hope Ukraine get through to the tournament. I absolutely hate home nations matches. Rags like the Sun start foaming at the mouth and printing all that nationalistic bollocks in their English versions while printing the exact opposite in their Scottish editions. If we win everyone says we should do because we are miles better and if we lose they bang on about it being the end of English football as we know it and "sports greatest upsets" programs that are the shite that fill the gaps in the shite on channel 5, have another evenings worth of material. Ukraine all the way into the group please.
  14. I always enjoy the excitement for the launch of a kit that most people won't actually buy. ?
  15. "Lee Johnson" is trending on twitter at the moment. Plenty of anger directed at the club for the signing of Defoe and the sacking of Johnson. Many fans still believe that Johnson should have been sacked anyway. Good twitter comedy though.
  16. If they can stay fit this is definitely my first choice as a podcast front 3.
  17. Rumors are that we're going to be sponsored by Travel Lodge. They don't do clean sheets either. ?
  18. You have to be ******* joking. For Christ's sake Every time we make a mistake we're punished for it
  19. So much pace in the team. That was some lovely play by Benarous. He's looking really good so far
  20. Looking forward to it tonight. Good to see more young players getting a chance.
  21. And thirty years since every football stat was changed from: "....... In History" To "....... In the history of the Premier League"
  22. I'm absolutely useless remembering these things even when I was there but, some that spring to mind are: 1) Tony Thorpe v the sags. 3-2 Christmas Eve game? Pin point cross from Aaron Brown streaking down the left wing. 2) Smith v Man Utd. What a feeling when that went in. Superb ball over the top from Taylor. 3) Brian Tinnion v Wrexham.? I'm sure this was against Wrexham and I think it was Peter Beadle who rolled the ball back but it was a hell of a free kick. The ball was chipped up and Tins cracked it over the wall and straight in.
