  1. West Ham U23 and, of course, Oxford and Milton Keynes, but Newcastle? He’s kept that well hidden. I suspect you are confusing him with Eddie Howe, but, to be fair, they do look vaguely similar.
  2. To be fair, Strasbourg isn't too bad.
  3. One place I would certainly recommend to avoid is Paris, at the lower end of the Champs Élysées, just up from Place de la Concorde. It is full of stalls run by the same people who operate the fairgrounds in the summer, selling overpriced candy floss, sugar coated and plastic wrapped lollipops and the like together with cheap to manufacture plastic toys and general crap. Probably the worst and most disappointing Christmas market I have ever had the misfortune to visit. Oh, and also rife with pickpockets.
  4. I haven’t actually counted them, although I am sure you are correct, but I’ve got one more than you, having watched Fred Ford manage City in John Atyeo’s final season.
  5. By the time they (hopefully) come back down, their new stadium should be complete.
  6. I am pleased it is still going. A wonderful pub, I used to go there frequently in the late 1970s.
  7. Because, effectively, he was in direct competition with our 'star signing', Kasey Palmer.
  8. Unfortunately, in so far as it concerns the calibre of profile, I fear you are probably correct.
  9. @Nogbad the Bad. Re. the pronunciation of ‘echt’, i.e. whether it is hard or soft, I have checked with my daughter. Echt is soft in “Hochdeutsch”, which is the German version of the Queen’s (King’s?) English. It is also regional.
  10. Might this be why we would need a translator?
  11. Quite - a typo on my part. As I suggested in my post, the new incumbent is apparently *not* a German national. Sorry, I have just realised that you were talking about FH. I never knew he was born in the USA, I had always assumed he was German. My first comment was referring to JM. Goodness, it’s confusing. So, after all that, compensation apart, is he perhaps a realistic possibility?
  12. As I said, I would be extremely sceptical were he to be suggested as a prime target. Any particular reason you have stated it won’t be OG, but have made no mention of BS?
  13. Hmm. An interesting suggestion. Whilst he is American, he does have a Germanic sounding name and, additionally, used to be the HC of Leipzig. Very cryptic of Kid, though, if true.
  14. Indeed, but he is German. Kid suggested a German connection, and my assumption (always assuming, of course, that Kid is correct ) was that the new incumbent has coached in Germany, but isn’t a German national. Additionally, FH is currently employed, which would entail compensation.
  15. As someone mentioned earlier, it depends on which region in Germany.
  16. Kid is quite sure there is a German connection, without the new incumbent actually being German. Oliver Glasner (Austrian) would be amazing, but surely out of our league, When he left Eintracht Frankfurt, I was pretty sure he would get another job in the Bundesliga, but he has now been without a club since the end of last season. Bo Svennson (Danish) has only very recently left Mainz, although surely he could get a better position than with us. Additionally, someone mentioned earlier that we might need a translator for our new HC, which wouldn’t be the case here as his English is excellent. In short, I should be delighted with either, but am extremely sceptical that we will get one of them.
  17. Similar to an old clothes shop, school outfitter in Bristol?
  18. His name is spelt incorrectly in the heading, otherwise you would be correct.
  19. Vienna is an absolutely wonderful city and, Christmas market or not, you are sure to have a wonderful time. If you can find a flight, however, and should a Christmas market be your main criterion, try to get to Nuremburg in Bavaria (think flight to Munich or even Frankfurt) or even Dresden, in what was formerly East Germany. I have been to both, and they are truly excellent - Dresden was extremely cold, however, so a few Schnapps were necessary, whilst in Nuremburg you will be able to enjoy their wonderful Lebkuchen amongst other delights.
  20. I think it was more a case of he kicked Rodri in the follow through from his shot, but he was certainly in a lot of discomfort.
  21. I'm trying with Chrome on a PC, but to no avail. It appears to be just this site, although I have no idea why.
  22. You are very fortunate. For some unknown reason, it just does not work for me. I never used to have any problems with Daddylive, but have relly struggled with streams recently. I shall have to look in to getting myself a box and what ever download goes with it.
