  1. First thoughts are that a home defeat against Cribbs is something of a surprise. I saw from the team sheet that it was quite different to our usual U23 line up. Any particular reason, or was it an U18 as someone suggested earlier?
  2. I’m not sure I’ve heard or read anywhere that he has or may be charged with murder, or even manslaughter. As I indicated earlier, to the best of my knowledge, he has not been charged with anything whatsoever.
  3. Indeed and, as you state, he can now be interviewed on record and under ‘Caution’, i.e. he must tell the truth. It should also be noted that he has not (yet, or even if at all) been charged.
  4. Hardly surprising, India and the BCCI have form. When was the tournament schedule released? When was it confirmed that Pakistan officials would actually be granted visas to attend? Anyway, is anyone actually watching this match? Come on NZ, you can do this.
  5. The general consensus appears to be that that the Germanic markets are better, and they are certainy taken more seriously in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and even Luxembourg, as witnessed by the genuine products on sale, both food/drinks and gifts. I have visited markets in three of the countries mentioned, the exception being Switzerland, and they are all quite quaint, with obviously some being better than others. By chance, I shall be off to Alsace (which still retains many links to Germany) for a long weekend in a couple of weeks time, and shall very likely take the opportunity to visit the Christmas market in Srasbourg once more, but also Obernai.
  6. Is TC actually meeting up with the Scotland squad?
  7. Is that perhaps why TC has seemed a little bit downcast this past week?
  8. Precisely. This is essentially and predominantly a football (based) forum. Might I suggest (respectfully) that the state of your previous/current sex and/or gender has no place on such a forum. Re. your claim that you have been raped, whether as a man or a woman, I have never heard/read about this, but I have no reason to doubt you. Nevertheless, apart from empathy and, of course, aside from an obvious and no doubt shared abhorrence at such a heinous crime, I can only repeat that this subject should be redirected elsewhere. Finally, in so far as it concerns ‘this place going to the dogs’ perhaps you might consider shortening your lead a little. Good Night and God Bless.
  9. I was going to suggest you might add Joe Williams to your brief list, but I have just checked and see he is only 26 - he will be 27 in a few weeks. Additionally, his occasional lack of performance is probably more due to his injury problems (whose fault that is doesn’t fall in this thread). Similarly, Kal Naismith, whilst soon to be 32, seems to show no real signs of slowing down, repeated injuries notwithstanding. In short, I think I share your view that the OP was rather strange, provocative even.
  10. Not forgetting Jack Grealish. No full age caps, but plenty of age group appearances.
  11. I have just realised who you are. I thought your style and content reminded me of somebody else, thought how strange it was that I hadn’t seen him post for a while as he is usually quite prolific, and then Bingo! My Eurêka moment, if you like.
  12. It’s the final group game today, and I see that Roelof bowled Kohli. I would like to have seen his celebration .
  13. Was that the MotD match in which Alan Whittle scored, to give them a 1-0 victory, their first of the season?
  14. So, might we be seeing an interesting transfer window in January?
  15. I suppose you are dismissing the first game after he was announced, away to Middlesbrough - which we won.
  16. I haven’t seen the interview to which you refer, but I have read several accounts of his ‘problems’. Perhaps, upon reflection, my suggestion that Dele ‘threw it away’ was harsh, but I really don’t want to go too deeply into that subject - this thread, this forum even, is not the place to do so.
  17. Sounds just like Alex Scott. Forget him, both as bad as each other.
  18. To be fair, KR was very successful and quite entertaining when he was managing Milton Keynes, especially when he had Dele on loan from Spurs. I believe, however, that Wade Elliot failed to give him (Dele) the respect he deserved , and showed him up for the player he now is. Actually, that’s not really fair to Dele. He used to be a very good player, but, for various reasons, appears to have thrown it all away.
  19. Of course, and I thought that @Sir Geoff might have joined in by suggesting you should ‘tyre’ harder.
  20. Over an entire season, I perhaps share your view that it is probably more enjoyable to be winning in the Championship most weeks and pushing for a play off place or even promotion. Nevertheless, in a season in which we lost more games than we won; the build up to our match away to Coventry, the actual match and, obviously, the result itself were probably one of the most exciting times of watching and supporting City I can remember - I also went to Leeds, but seem to recall I was strangely quiet during that match .
  21. I have only been to West Brom once, but was lucky enough to witness a very fortunate and important 1-0 victory - important, but also fortunate in the sense that we scored early and were then hanging on for the rest of the match. Funnily enough, we drew 0-0 away to Sunderland in the same week. Several weeks later we beat Portsmouth at home 1-0, again scoring early and resulting in yet another tense evening. I suspect that most on here are too young to remember those matches, but they were most enjoyable.
  22. Wow. As I said in my earlier post, I had no idea, but I was pretty sure there would have been no money in Belgium’s Second Division. I suppose that sort of puts things in to perspective.
  23. I honestly have no idea, but I shouldn’t have thought so. Without wishing to be too disparaging about Belgian football, I doubt there is much money in their Second Division.
