We've had takeaways and restaurants but..
PHILINFRANCE replied to Bristol Rob's topic in General Chat
I'm sure it's great, but are you going to let us know who it is? -
He'll be a bit sad to leave French football, though. They truly are.
-
So, @22A, it would seem you may have some explaining to do - if only to put mind at rest ?.
-
Far easier, with a similar effect, is to put a raw egg in the microwave....
-
Hey @Davefevs, what's so funny? Without searching on Google, I really can't recall who that might have been.
-
Who was that? I know we signed Basso a few years later from Woking, but I can't think who came here from Chelmsford.

The Staines Massive…Fraud and Slavery?
PHILINFRANCE replied to Silvio Dante's topic in Football Chat
I thought it was Kingston-upon-Thames. That sounds far better. -
Does anybody, @Harry for instance, know if he was mentioned by someone on the Independent Fans Group?

Blowing up a can of beans? That’s a new one for me. How does that work? I don’t want to try it, I’m just curious.

I remember many years ago when one bright spark (no pun intended) in our group thought it would be a good idea to stuff a few empty aerosol cans in the neighbourhood bonfire. They certainly made a boom, the FB were called and the site was evacuated, much to the dismay and anger of close living families, who had to pack up their party tables and return home.

I certainly can. Gruntled, as I am sure you are aware (am I setting myself up for a Whoosh?), is the opposite (antonym) of disgruntled. If I am gruntled, I am pleased, whereas if I am disgruntled, I am displeased.
-
It doesn't, actually. It is simply a nuance of the French language, just as to 'demand' somebody to do something, means simply to ask them. One might 'joindre' a queue, or 'rejoindre', think of it as signing up for, a club.

It looks more like David Mellor.

As our old friend Mr. Ashton might well have said: Let me very clear about this; I do not support flares/pyros in UK football stadiums. But! I have never been, but what an experience it must be to attend a local Istanbul, Belgrade or even a Greek Derby.

Is that Andorra?

If this article is about the same person, then it is probably for the best that he is allowed nowhere near Ashton Gate. https://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/62045/Gang-gets-11-years-for-savage-attack-on-dad

It's beginning to sound like a bit of a gourmet meal, judging by some of the comments on here. Petit fours, shellfish and profiteroles.

My thoughts exactly. I also thought he was referring to Karen Brady, but then I thought, 'Why would she leave West ham to go back to Birmingham?'. The man is deluded; more suited to Derby ?.

Horrible. As one of their fans tweeted: We deserve to get relegated for this, all the suspense as well. It was like waiting for your first shag, only for it to be with Gemma Collins

A strange one (for me) Bournemouth. Many years ago, I had a very good friend, who lived in Christchurch (Bournemouth), where we spent some fantastic weekends in lovely pubs and wine bars, and met some charming young ladies; we even went windsurfing one Spring morning in Poole Harbour (Bournemouth). Some years later, when my friend had moved away, I had to spend a few nights in Bournemouth on business and asked my secretary to book me a decent (3/4 star) hotel, preferably quite close to the beach so I could venture out in the evening for dinner and to enjoy some of the wonderful nightlife I remembered. What a shock. I appreciate it was out of season, but the place was just full of beggars, drunks and druggies - I know, I should have felt at home. There is a huge difference between the three.

Just a quick post before you put me on ignore ?, the word is argumentative. Sorry, I couldn't resist ?.

Adapted from an old cricket tale, but I thought it was quite amusing. https://twitter.com/NoContextBrits/status/1536790705934422017/photo/1

Similarly to Roelof yesterday (I am convinced he got some bat to it), I don't think Siddle was out - going down leg, I thought. A shame, as I thought if we could get to lunch and perhaps an hour or so after, it might make for an interesting afternoon.

Each to their own, I suppose. I frequently engage in threads when I have nothing of interest to add ?.
