  1. I am not sure which is more difficult, Wordle or Quordle - I have yet to try Octordle. I always complete Wordle and, apart from a very few occasions, Quordle also. Like @Northern Red, my failures were due to having multiple choices at the end with just the one letter left; like tokay, with the multiple choice arriving early, but wasting numerous lines, and my pet hate, the well known words with American spelling ?.
  2. That seems fair enough, as he is managing a team pushing for promotion, either automatically or via the playoffs. It might still prove problematic, though, as the playoffs are towards the end of the month, with the final on 28 May. To be honest, I wouldn’t be at all surprised if the whole thing just died a death. This is the second postponement of what is a Police led victimless prosecution in which the alleged victim, Barton’s wife, claims she wasn’t assaulted. Notwithstanding the fact there is apparently evidence of the alleged assault (telephone call to the Police, Police video of Mrs B’s alleged injury), this does not appear to be a case where the alleged victim is living in fear of her alleged attacker, thus scared to support a prosecution for fear of being assaulted again; Mr and Mrs B and, very importantly, their children, appear to be living happily together, so, after so long, the CPS might just consider it is not in the public interest (or the children’s) to pursue the case. We have serving Police Officers on the forum who are far better qualified than me to advise, but we shall see what develops.
  3. Don't you just hate it when you have got four green letters after the third attempt, but it takes another three guesses to get the corrrect word. Daily Quordle #48 quordle.com ? ??? ?? ??? ???? ?? ???? ?? ???? ??? ????? ????? ?? ? ?? ?? ? ??? ?? ? ?? ? ? ????? ?????
  4. I forget the game now, but there was also a blatant foul on O’Dowda that wasn’t given.
  5. The usual site, https://redi1.soccerstreams.net/, shows as not being available, but on the same page, I found this, Unfortunately, none of the sites they reference appear to work.
  6. Unfortunately, this site is unavailable and all the usual sites appear to be down. Reddit announcing that they are no longer streaming.
  7. Apparently, he is enjoying a very comfortable life off the pitch. I wonder if the two are connected.
  8. Unlikely, as you say, but, regrettably, not inconceivable, and therein lies one of football’s greatest problems.
  9. I hesitate to raise a further point given the EFL’s history, but, notwithstanding the legal problems mentioned, would he really be considered a ‘fit’ person to own a football club?
  10. How interesting. I thought of this one, a favourite of mine back in the day.
  11. Ron Pember, aged 87. He played in numerous 'minor' parts over a long career, but I remember him as Baz, in Only Fools and Horses. This is one of my favourite scenes, where Trigger discovers Rodney's name isn't Dave.
  12. From memory, that was Wes Burns’ father, who claimed his teammates used to joke that he looked like somebody who had won a competition to train with City.
  13. Just got back from watching it in a Parisian bar. Loved it ?. I don't really 'support' any French team, although I occasionally watch Paris Red Star for a bit of a laugh, but I really despise PSG's sense of entitlement, abusing FFP type rules but still failing. They had a forward line of Mbappé, Messi and Neymar, for goodness sake!
  14. Done whilst watching the cricket. Now on to Quordle. Wordle 263 4/6 ? ?? ???? ?????
  15. That helps, of course, hence my fortunate inspired guess for the last word.
  16. I got it with my last attempt, a very fortunate inspired guess. Daily Quordle #43 quordle.com ?? ?? ???? ????? ?? ? ?? ????? ? ?? ?? ?? ?? ????? ??? ????? I have never seen that before: not a single correct letter in the first square until the sixth line!
  17. Wordle done, now for Quordle. Wordle 262 4/6 ?? ?? ??? ?????
  18. I recognise Max Wall, but who is the other one?
  19. Rome can obviously be very hot, depending on the season, and, of course, can seem extremely busy - some of the driving is a sight to behold - but it can also be very slow. You mentioned coffee in Piazza Navona, but I recall many an afternoon in piazzas whose names I have forgotten, where even a few beers took a very pleasurable hour or more - just the time necessary for my wife to finish her second ice cream, bless her ?.
  20. Wonderful excitement if it ends well, but I suspect I might still prefer the comfort of mid-table security.
