Interested to know where everyone is watching this today- are the pubs busy?
-
Watched it and thought it was decent- was too young to be aware of a lot of the political back drop before the tournament so thought it provided some good context around that.
As a child I loved the 80s- looks a bitch of a decade to live through if you were an adult though

How did we not win today? - we absolutely battered them just as we did Sheffield Utd. O’Leary never had a save to a make.
Every City player was excellent, Williams, Vyner, James, Wells and Pring in particular.
Sooo frustrating not to claim all three points……………
Battered them is a bit of an exaggeration… we were the better side for sure but not sure we really created an extraordinary amount of chances.

Best game Joe Williams has had for yonks today.
Absolutely- this is the player I hoped and thought we bought…been first to everything and very assured

Rob Edwards is a good shout, I don’t think anyone can really judge anyone who goes to Watford as their treatment of managers is appalling which Pearson can allude to.

Hey lads, let's take a step back please! Remembering we're all fans. OTIB is about different opinions and debate. It ceases to be a debate when it gets personal. What makes OTIB great is the wide and varying views of everyone. Not everyone will agree with some of the points raised but you'll get a far more considered response if you are respectful.
Absolutely- but some people are taking this terrible run for Pearson really badly
at least @Davefevswho has been very patient with Pearson can debate very reasonably without trying to shout people down.
I reckon if or when Dave turns on Nigel then everyone else will.

Fair play to Rotherham, usually the whipping boys at this level but they look a decent outfit this season. Once again goes to show you don’t need to throw ££ to get a decent team at this level…!
Sshhh you can’t say that on here….its the uncomfortable truth that everyone probably knows…. Pearson has obviously got nowhere near the budget of previous managers but he has talented players who on their day are a match for any team in this league. We are terrible inconsistent and sadly do not look well coached.

World Cup?!? Played in a country with no football culture, with terrible human rights issues, that bribed its way to get selected. Having to be played at a time of the year when its less hot but still too hot and mid season for all competing nations. A total disregard for the athletes competing and the fans watching. It sums up all that is bad about football.
Yeah that was my point mate- just feels like their is no buzz about this World Cup at all currently.

Christ what a different place this will be with two wins next week, before we can all have a month off watching a World Cup that no one seems to give a toss about right now.
Getting to 26 points if we beat stoke will cement mid table and allow all our injured players time to fully recuperate.

No
Simple answer, not ready for this tour, it's another big step up playing International football from the premier league
Really- do you mean in terms of pressure and mentality required at the ultimate stage?
As I would guess probably up to quarters but more likely semi final stage he would probably be more tested in the premier league week in week out.

we lost impetus when Wells went off, he was excellent today.
Yep absolutely he was good today- for a small slight guy he can also hold the ball up and bring others into play

They all really stepped up today- enjoyed their performances

Very hard fought point. Will take that. Some really good defensive play and always gave themselves a chance.
I agree Swansea I thought were an attractive side without much substance.
Take a point I think the only things that disappointed me was the lack of ambition after going a goal up- and also one of wells or semenyo should have stayed on.
Points like today really add up at season end

Interesting to see how this plays out…. Big name but as per lampard and gerrard that doesn’t necessarily mean you will be a good manager at the top level

It is one thing...being a keyboard warrior, firing off your criticism in anonymity, it is quite another can of worms, in having the courage to stand up in a crowd face to face, and ask direct and possibly controversial question's in the spotlight? I just hope that some of the critics have enough cojones to stand up and be counted?...........We shall see? PS. Hello Ian?
Who is Ian?

Every now and again Scott Davidson's name pops up. It was before my time but he seems to be remembered positively.
Why is this?
How did he compare to lansdown (and other owners today)? Appreciate the game was different then but would be interested to hear
From memory he was much more charismatic than Steve Lansdown and many other owners. He used to do a lot of interviews on tv and seemed to enjoy engaging with the fans, I seem to remember communication with the fan base was pretty good when he was in charge, in my opinion.

Bollom…Bristol's Brightspots…?
What is bollom? And is that the same shop as where the old sign of bollom is in north street? above the lounge cafe I think which looks very old and not quite sure why it is still there?

Fantastic win- couldn’t get any signal where I was last night so very surprised when I left at 9.30 to see we were cruising to victory.
The Hawthorns and West Brom away have haunted me ever since Keith Welch missed his kick on a back pass and the ball bobbled in the goal.

Will be interesting to see if his loudest critics on here pop along and challenge him face to face
Don’t see why they wouldn’t in all fairness

Can only imagine results might be out by then.
Could also be very difficult night for Nige if as expected West Brom and reading inflict heavy defeats on us by then

Wall deserve a lot of credit for that display.
They were too hard to play through their defensive and midfield line never strayed…

What is it Nige is building?
Something brewing apparently…2.5 years on I can’t see for the life of me what it is…that was pathetic today.
Having said that Millwall were very disciplined

I met him around 2006, got a handshake into a hug kind of embrace from him. Nice guy…. Sad news indeed.
