Really disagree. We were ok v Hull, just lost out in a very tight game.
Could be wrong, but Orr(?) got injured and we lost any fluidity.

I wonder if he's got around to the Red Arrows PowerPoint yet?
Of course they're to blame
They're lacklustre and look disinterested, if they don't want to put in 100% for the shirt they should foxtrot Oscar
Yet not an issue under NP - so that shouldn't be the case. Can't agree to that Phantom, sorry.
Unless, like LJ, Manning is just an awful man-manager and losing the squad.

I think TGH has been really poor of late.
Not put together a consistent run of performances in ages.
He seems to get a free pass on here because he scored against Boro but I think he’s really dipped in form since the West Ham games.
Definition of flattered to deceive, I'm surprised we offered him a deal to be honest.
Will end up in League One. No awareness nor consistency. No real strength besides the odd delivery. No aggression.

Tbh I think he was going regardless of what's happened in the last few months.
He was gone the second they sacked Pearson.

NP going was correct. He was never going to take us to the next level and he did a brilliant job here. Our mistake was appointing Manning.
This weird narrative on here that the football was brilliant and NP was a god is laughable.
He was getting what he could out of a limited squad with limited sometimes curtailed investment while reducing the wage bill from the eye watering £35m per annum under LJ and MA.
No other manager, available freely or who would come to us, has his squad building and infrastructure skills. He deserved a proper CEO (Alexander) to help support him, proper recruitment, and not Tinnion sticking his d*** in the pie.
As for the bit in bold - reread my post. Where have I said the football was brilliant. Sh** attempt deflection at best. Give me some real counterpoints otherwise why post.
Who do we get that's better that would work with these amateurs in these constraints like NP did.

Snatch your hand off for that.
If we pick up 3 points this week that’s more than I currently expect.
Try this month.

It's not none though is it. Statistically.
Highest relegated point tally is Peterboro with 54.

TGH was only allowed to happen when it came to light how serious McCrorie’s illness was, and even then it was a real plead for it to be allowed.
Had McCrorie not been ill, TGH wouldn’t be here
Even worse recruitment then, as TGH was as good at RB as I am at Salsa dancing.
I like him, but his position sense and concentration need massive work across the pitch.

Just cant take Ian seriously when hes commenting complete bollocks.
Sure thing Ian - who said they had a plan when if Scott left? - Pearson.
Instead we loan in TGH - complete failure in recruitment - and that rests squarely at Tinnion's door.

Lets clear out players like j dasilva and kasey palmer after all they are only getting regular games for coventry.
Nothing wrong with Jay or Palmer technically.
The issue is we recruited under LJ period without looking to integrate them into any kind of system.
We wanted 'clubs in the bag'.
Said it before but it's become more apparent the issue was LJ and not MA for all his smarmy behaviour.
Unfortunately MA liked doing a deal - so couldn't just say 'No more'.

So let’s try to remember that none of this is Manning’s fault. He took a lucrative job that none of would have turned down and none of us can blame him for taking. I’m sure he and his team are trying their very best.
Fortunately I lost my mojo for Bristol City when Nige was sacked. I saw it before with Cotterill and history has repeated itself. I say fortunately because I find myself really not caring too much about our games, how we’re performing etc. I find it sad I feel like this, but it helps eliminate the problem of the City result ruining your weekend - which I suspect is how many of you feel right now.
But I suppose my main point is try not to get on Manning’s back. It’s not his fault.
I’m grateful for the investment the Lansdowns have made, our new stadium is brilliant and we’re in a really good place off the pitch. But I think we’ve definitely run our course now, and with my very best wishes it’s time they sold up and left. And if they wouldn’t mind taking their mate Bri with them at the same time, that’d be ideal. They’re getting the comeuppance they deserve in spades. Completely out of their depth.
I suppose you could sum up my feelings on them the same way they dealt with Nige. You feel the need to gamble on something new, yeh, it could well be worse, but it’s probably worth the gamble.
Disagree.
His lack of flexibility is purely down to him.
Would be willing to back him if I saw some gears turning, some adjustments - we saw it with NP trying out multiple systems to find what suited the squad.
He's just a crap manager.

Lost the players trust? Well that’s not what James thinks in the article:
For all the conspiracy theories about lost dressing rooms and a disenchanted squad, as we understand that is abundantly not true.
edit -Apols previous post says much the same
The finger pointing and arguing amongst themselves says otherwise.

Oh look, another one.
26 minutes ago, Bedminster said:What you going on about?
You got crumbs in your beard mate. Try some deodorant aswell.
And I'm not the first to notice.
No one claims NP was a saint. But he, in interviews, outlined what merits a manager should be based on.
One of those outlined parameters was that it was his job to find a system for 'these' players to get results.
Not his system. Not his 'framework' or 'processes'. The squad first.
Manning is 180 the opposite and he's losing the dressing room because of it.
We've gone from defending the players and taking the flack and responsibility under NP to blaming the players and not the process under Manning. It's no wonder we're now seeing soft performances.
Just see Niges post match from West Brom as a comparison. 'Our Players, Our Fans'
Compared to https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/liam-manning-bristol-city-cardiff-9138398
'I want, I want, I want', then 'they (the team) should feel x, y, z.
It's just terrible leadership. Leagues apart. Literally and in methodology with regards to squad culture.

Danny Wilson
Good manager, 48% win ratio for us. I personally felt pride watching his team from 2000-2004 which often had 5 Bristolians sometimes 7, playing attractive football.
Castigated for the play off disater, but it was one mistake and he was steadily building and improving each season.
Persuaded by Brian "trust me on Tins" Tinnion that Danny was a wrong un. What might have been.
Gary Johnson
Good manager, good apppointment.
Victim of his own nepotism which Lansdown should have stepped in and sorted but didn't, culminating in that incident at Plymouth.
Steve Coppell
The coup that never was. Allegedly realised the owner would be a meddler and left with his bags before even unpacking them.
Steve Cotterill
What can you say. Don't need to. Except, shafted. Should have been supported but by then nepo boy was on the horizon and Crayon Boy was his mate, and so it came to pass that a managerial imbecile with a win rate of 37% in the 3rd division was showered with gifts in the Championship.
Nigel Pearson
Achieved different things in different ways. On paper, given mediocre results, unprecedented support from a fan base that recognised what he was doing and had done. Treated disgraefully, replaced though by a manager who apparently would get the most out of our "top 6 quality" squad.
And so now Liam Manning.
Didn't want him, hard to warm to him. And yet. Win rate of 48% at Lommel, MK and Oxford. 29% for us. Why? Is the step up too much? Has Crayon Boy put too much expectation on him? Will he come good?
Is there hope?
Been covered before, but Cotts was a Dawe appointment.

Tinnion said a couple of weeks ago crowds are on the up. Absolute rubbish, crowds will be below 17K in league one.
Also no way was there the announced figures there today - 19k. Tops.

Pearson was no better and we were equally as inconsistent. Sacking Manning to bring back Pearson would be like swapping Pasta for Spaghetti, it won't achieve anything and will just be exactly the same, only look a little different.
Are talking about this season when he was in charge, and the whole - ya know - injury crisis where Sykes played at LB and Joseph James - who Manning doesn't even name on the bench once, was RB?
Or are we talking about last season when once NP nailed down 4-3-3 and we actually looked consistent, performance wise, and just needed to make sure Scott was replaced but the Heirarchy decided that was too straight forward and took a massive risk on TGH that for me has completely flattered to deceive.

Only way I'd even contemplate it with my budgets being tight buying a new house the end of the year would be if they sacked Manning and Tinnion, and reappointed NP and gave him reign to clear house.
Otherwise that £200+ renewal cost is going on building materials - now that Wickes isn't going to be there (which is actually really annoying). DIY and watching the paint dry would genuinely give me more fulfillment.

Like they were never ever going to fire LJ even if he took us to multiple relegations? That used to get said on here a lot and he ultimately went for not getting close enough to the playoffs.
He went as he absolutely lost the squad due to his own horrific man management and overspending.

We ain’t getting anything Tuesday night. By Saturday we could be 3 points off relegation and a huge Mother’s Day clash. If that ends in defeat I’m not sure LMs position is tenable.
In steps the Pearson old guard to keep us up.
Almost would feel if that happened get NP to lead football matters. Could advise King etc.
