  1. Not sure if he would be the new messiah. I believe it would cost around £30M just to get rid of the fake feikers with the debts. I am not sure given that sum anybody would want to pay that sort of cash just for santa's grotto, a box of out of date crisps, championship ready sprinklers and a few plastic chairs as a going concern. Mind you, a year's Babestation subscription certainly makes for a more attractive proposition.

What IS interesting is that he's a property developer and despite the smell emanating from there, when flattened, will make a lot of flats and a nice return on his investment.

It is quite obvious to all [except their few fans] that football is not a viable prospect as a going concern unless vast sums of money is spent on an already outdated and dilapidated facility.

Being pedantic (why change a habit of a lifetime?) but it was actually pre WW2. In 1958 the ground was owned by the greyhound company, so they built the stand.

    Ha ha even better!???

You will have to forgive me but my historical knowledge of one of the most insignificant football league/non league clubs in the history of the Football League is a little lacking.

Can someone inform me what was the last stand they actually built?

    BREAKING NEWS:

'The Al Qadis are to set to reveal plans for a new stadium at half time in the next home game.

The club have asked that although they realise fans will want to celebrate they should not bring flares in to the stadium . . . . .

. . . . . because that's what they wore the last time we actually built something.'

Ha ha but I think you'll find that it was 1958 the last time they built anything that was structurally solid. It was that long ago I'm not even sure the "Wooden Tops" were invented.

Had to read it again as I couldn't believe it, 3 refurbished bars,  new shop and electronic turnstyles( they can be a bit scarey and put people off tho ) that is very impressive work, yet again most clubs are in awe of them, even Spurs fans !!!

AND he forgot to mention that they have Babestation on as well! So many improvements AND change out of the £250.00 budget. Happy days!

They had a thread on Slagchat about a month ago called ‘Mass exodus at the Gate’ which was basically a load of belters rubbing their piss stinking hands together in excitement about how we’ve lost our best players and not replaced them with any quality.

Think we’re doing ok so far, obviously a long way to go.

Anybody know how the Sags are getting on with all the ‘quality’ signings they must have made after selling Harrison?

I think they're doing brilliantly. They need to keep perservering with that striker who scores 2 in 40+ matches. Quality strike rate that. He might find his level one day, probably when they're back in the conference where they belong.

  7. The majority that I know have their heads firmly in the sand.

One win and its play offs or the gas are marching into the Championship or we're coming for you blah blah.

They have little respect for teams in their own league and its laughable how they try to Lord it over clubs who are frankly far better than them on and off the pitch but "they should be beating teams like Accrington and Shrewsbury"

    Unbelievable.

Is it any wonder no one likes them.

The sooner they f..k off and die the better.

Yeah, the Mem really isn't up to league football standard.  TBH, there are loads of non league grounds that are much better.

It will improve immensively though once a housing estate has been built on it.

Who would want to live in a house on top of a bog like cess pit?

Wouldn't it be ironic if the good people and local businesses of Gloucester Road registered it as a Village Green.

A permanent memorial to the people of Bristol who gave their lives in the Great War.

    Excuses excuses as per normal.

What the slag obviously doesn’t realise is that after one of the worst seasons in my 30 years of watching City and the pathetic way we were relegated back to L1 under O Driscoll, we sold 8k STs...that’s after relegation.

They got promoted to L1 on the back of 2 successful seasons and they only sold 5k STs.

Our crowds fell to about 10k against the likes of Colchester and Shrewsbury when we were bottom of L1 without a League win in about 6 months but then you wouldn’t expect a Gashead to get his figures right.

All the facts point to us being far more loyal than they are, despite the bullshit they spout. Using their ground as an excuse doesn’t wash I’m afraid especially when they claim that they’re the Leagues superfans who’d ‘watch from the pavement if Rovers were playing on the road’.

Be careful what you wish for.

They could be watching from Fishponds Road soon when the turnip patch is no longer a viable commodity ???

A post from Sagchat, unbelieveable for a so called ‘professional’ football club......

In October 2018 we will be 'remembering' 60 years ago ( North stand 1958) the last time we constructed a stand. This is a record in all 5 divisions and a small celebration will be held in the space of the proposed family stand.

    North stand October 1958 - October 2018  ( 60 years ) .

60 years since they last built a stand and those saddoes are celebrating the fact! Truly astonishing. Why on earth would you want to bring to everybody's attention 60 years of abject failure.

Still, why build when you can just pitch up take advantage and steal.

"when we do well",  like picking up a crucial point in their relegation six pointer against Shrewsbury.

Ha, ha, is that a trick question as in we'll do well to stay in League 1 this season with the fact they can't compete with Forest Green on the pitch and all those tents [that makes them the laughing stock of the entire Football League] their wonderful owners provide off it.

  13. Unbelievable.

    Terrorism, Isis.

Obviously this is just a cretin without the ability to think about what he is writing. Seriously, in the world we live in, from whichever side of the devide you are, nobody should be using those two words in throw away comments.

    Absolutely appalling.

I bet Port Vale don’t give Stoke City as many ‘gifts’ as the slags give us on a regular basis.

If they’re not erecting a new tent or getting mugged off by the owners, their small band of deluded supporters are comparing themselves to some of England’s biggest clubs.

The fickle idiots can’t even manage to scrape 8k home fans for a L1 match after they’ve spent most of the last 20 years in the basement.

....and they say we’ve got delusions of grandeur?

They are stuck in the 1970's as in the last century, much like their weird kit, going on about how big a club they are & on a par with the likes of Norwich City but in reality its more like Northwich Victoria.

Keep believing how great you are; meanwhile, in the real world, every other club is moving on and leaving you far, far behind.

I am all for passion in a derby but there were one or two of them "overstepping" the mark that day.

To this day I am extremely surprised how swindle didn't get in trouble with the Football League or the police for that matter considering the behaviour of their players & that crass fat controller owner. Absolutely disgusting.

That match underlines why I detest that 5hitty club and that picture sums it up for me.
