Isn’t it a bit depressing virtually no big music act has come out of Bristol?

Hoping it’s nothing too serious. Get well soon NP.

….and in the same interview, words to the affect of “stopping the root cause”, the initial pass with little pressure. We’d not parked the bus at all this season. The above quote would not lead me to think we were gonna park the bus tomorrow.
Do you have a source at the training ground….quite a few “IMOs”, which is like adding a to a post? Nobody is gonna ask you who, but you post things like above, which you’ve taken from an interview yet imply in other posts you have some inside knowledge. That’s fine if you do btw.
As above, we’ve yet to park the bus this season, and I honestly can’t remember when that has been our intention.
Not convinced Vyner is at fault. It was him that chased a long ball into the bottom left wing corner, laying it to Bentley to clear to Gardner.
Gardner strides on, Atkinson starts to engage Vyner not in picture yet, having been in corner.
Gardner plays it wide, Atkinson marking him / closest to him Vyner now in shot with Kalas looking to mark Jutkiewicz and Hogan.
Graham shapes to cross Atkinson not checked his right shoulder, he’s basically lost Gardner.
Vyner realising Atkinson has got caught ball-watching tries to get across….too late
My analysis, if you want to blame a player….then it’s Atkinson. But it definitely isn’t Vyner.
We cannot tell what comms have gone on, but I find it hard to believe that at any stage Atkinson has said “I’m passing Gardner on”….let alone to Vyner.
Fair shout mate, you’ve prepared for a Vyner bashing
In all seriousness, looking at it like that in stages you could argue TK or Zak need to communicate with Atkinson, as they’ve got a better view.
Either way, it’s so soft.

Spot on.
I watched the highlights of wins at QPR & Reading in previous seasons you had Ashley Williams, Kalas, Baker all throwing themselves into challenges & blocks.
We need this from those in front of the defence too.
The 3rd goal at Birmingham was even worse, both Bakinson & HNM put in half hearted attempts to dispossess Gardner, a terrible effort.
And not forgetting Vyner’s marking in the box….
Embarrassing stuff.

Very good post @Olé.
I recall a Nige interview in pre-season where he said something along the lines of “I always catch them out when I’m around”, suggesting that whilst the cat’s away the mice will play.
Putting two and two together, maybe getting 5, were the coaches letting them get away with stuff when Nige not around.
Ok, maybe Nige should ensure he’s around more. Fair point. Looks like he’s decided he needs to be following their removal.
He really needs to use the international break to rejuvenate the squad. I sense it won’t be, come in Monday, do your tests then bugger off til the following Monday this time around.
Hopefully just Kalas away, and young’uns like Scott and Pearson. Maybe a reset, e.g. you’re all pretty much back to square one, who knows.
Apart from the likes of Martin, Weimann and Bentley, I’d say we’ve got a pretty immature squad. From the outside looking in anyway…
Some of these lads are in their mid 20s and you just get the feeling they haven’t matured yet...
Bakinson, Palmer, Dasilva, O’Dowda all come to mind. Then we have the academy players around the squad, understandably not matured yet. But this all comes back to a lack of leadership from the group, the lads in their mid 20s haven’t done enough.
We need some bite in that dressing room, it’s all too cushty.

Yep. I purchased today having just found out I don’t have parent duties on Saturday. Collect at the ground on the day.
Cheers H.

Stupidly looking to go to this last minute. Just a question though, if I were to buy online now I’m guessing I would need to get them up there on the day?

And Mitrovic just netted his 19th goal of the season in the 16th game ! Nuts !
He’ll score about 4 next season in the Prem and Fulham will get pumped again.

The bottom line is that we haven’t replaced the players that have departed. Fam, Eliasson, Pato, Pack, Ayling, Smith, Reid, Bryan etc
Or in some positions we’ve recruited poorly. The downward spiral has been going on for a while now, and I think it’ll get worse before it gets better.
I’m sticking with Nige as I feel he’s not had a real crack at it yet and the problems started long before him.

It’s becoming clear that the strength in depth is pretty weak. And what with injury record to some of our players, was it the right call not to bring more in at the time?

Bring back the funds he had too
Haha absolutely this!
Nige brings in League 1 and 2 players to build for the future. LJ brings in £3m foreign gambles…
Massengo being the turd that eventually stuck to the wall…

Lansdown has to go for me
If this wasn’t his ‘business’ he would have been gone ages ago.

We’re using him to run the channels to chip balls into… totally wrong way of using him…. Because believe it or not, he’s not quick enough.
Limited player playing in a limited side.
-
I’m still waiting for a game where we play well…
It’s all rather depressing.

So effin weak.
How can you let a bloke run past you like that? Ffs even just take a booking.
******* soft as shit.
-
That goal really is an example of City.
Soft as shite. Bullied all over the park.
-
We’ve had all the ball but look out of ideas with what to do with it. The passing has been better but we’re evidently missing quality and pace up there.
-
Bakinson probably been our best midfielder. But even then it’s not been great… Birmingham have come through too easily at times when we have lost the ball upfield.
Our tackles have been weak as piss too. Overall not terrible, but certainly not great…
Expectations have lowered a lot these days.

Looking at both teams, it’s going to be an awful watch.
0-0.
-
-
Or it’s a 5-3-2/3-5-2 with Vyner at the back.

-
Vyner and Bakinson in a midfield 3?
I effin hope not.

And this is exactly why im So harsh on SL - he’s the one who’s seen us swing from one strategy to another without any clear style or future planning.
It’s also why NP has a free hit this season with me, this squad is a mess and will take a while to sort.Mate with respect, he waited a long time before appointing Holden and Dick and Dom.

It’s like that every week it seems. 4/1-5/1 against any opposition home or away…
